Definitions
- Tunnel construction using tubbing is of particular importance.
- the seal is described below on such components.
- each segment has a sealing frame (variant A).
- each segment has a double sealing frame (variant B).
- the two frames according to variant B can be connected to one another via a transverse seal (DE-A-39 09 788).
- the object of the invention consists in the further development of the profiled strips cited at the beginning, in such a way that the previous compression of the profiled strips during assembly is no longer necessary for the purpose of sealing the tubing joints. Pressing them together was particularly difficult because the backs of the profile strips protrude beyond the recesses of the components when installed. Since the compression of the zinc has to be greater the greater the groundwater pressure, the problem described here arises particularly in the case of tunnels in deep locations (e.g. at a depth of 100 m).
- a sealing system which consists of a full profile and an opposite hollow profile, the cavity of which can be activated in large volumes and by means of an injectable medium which increases the overall volume.
- a sealing system has not yet become established.
- full profiles have practically no force-deformation behavior, and on the other hand, ventilation problems occur with profiles with a large internal cavity.
- the joint (1) (longitudinal or transverse joint) of two adjacent segments (2, 3) is to be sealed.
- the profile strips (6, 7) made of rubber or rubber-like material are inserted into the recesses (4, 5).
- Each of the opposing profile strips here has three uniform groove grooves (8, 9) on the profile base side.
- the back (12, 13) of the profiled strips (6, 7) does not protrude or does not protrude significantly beyond the cutouts (4, 5).
- Each profile strip here has an activatable cavity (10, 11) of initially small volume, which is connected to the injection channel (14, 15) according to claim 13.
- the adjoining segments (2, 3) are already assembled here (assembled state). Now the profile strips (6, 7) are activated by means of an injectable medium that increases the total volume. In this way, a high sealing effect is achieved without having to compress the profiled strips during assembly.
- Fig. 2 shows the opposite profile strips (16 to 19) as parts of a double sealing frame, which is already present when the segments are assembled.
- the profile strips (16, 19) can be activated.
- the profile strips (17, 18) only have groove grooves. These can also have channels that cannot be activated.
- Fig. 3 shows the opposite profile strips (20 to 23) as parts of a double sealing frame, but here the double sealing frame is only created by retrofitting another sealing frame, which is located in the inner joint (24). All four opposing profile strips can be activated here. With regard to the profile strips (22, 23), the activated state (dashed profile back) is shown in the context of this figure.

Description
- a) DE-C-28 33 345
- b) DE-U-85 02 036, DE-A-35 02 620, GB-A-2 170 561 FR-A-2 576 659
- c) DE-U-85 21 068, DE-A-35 26 063, EP-A-0 210 326, GB-A-2 178 114, FR-A-2 585 068
