Definitions
- the invention relates to a circular knitting machine with at least one needle carrier with slider needles, the head and slider of which are separately controlled and designed so that the tip of the slider can pass through the needle head, with lock curves for controlling the needles for knitting, catching or true running and with a sinker lock curve controlled boards interacting with the pusher needles.
- Circular knitting machines with slide needles have already been known or proposed because higher needle adjustment speeds can be achieved by replacing a needle tongue with a controlled needle slide.
- a knitting machine has already been proposed (DE-C1-35 40 685), in which the slide of the slide needles, which interact with sinkers, is held immovably at a constant height.
- Needle pusher certain restrictions in the adjustment width of lock parts have to be accepted if a high level of operational safety is to be guaranteed in every control position of the knitting tools.
- the aim is to use pusher needles in a circular knitting machine with a needle selection device, which permits needle adjustment for knitting, catching or concentricity.
- a needle selection device should also have the lock track for the needle slide changing device parts what for a needle selection device for a 3-way technique would mean a considerable effort.
- the need for control needles for each of the three would also have to be according to the previous control technology
- Needle lock tracks a slide lock curve adapted to it can be provided. This would result in large lock heights and correspondingly large needle lengths and also needle slide lengths, and even larger needle masses would have to be moved than before.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of designing a circular knitting machine with controllable slide needles in such a way that an increase in the mass of known slide needles and the expenditure on control devices of a needle selection device and the expenditure on lock parts Compared to previously known and comparable circular knitting machines is not required, however, no restriction of the range of variation of previously known comparable machines has to be accepted.
- the object is achieved according to the invention in a circular knitting machine of the type mentioned in the introduction in that only a single lock curve causing longitudinal movements of the slide is formed for the slide needles of the slide needles for all needle lock curves.
- a circular knitting machine designed according to the invention there is therefore no need to provide selection devices or adjusting devices for the needle slides, regardless of whether a 3-way technique is used for selecting a jacquard needle or for locks with one or more lock tracks.
- the needles can be controlled in a pattern according to the pattern knitting, catching or non-knitting within a row of stitches.
- the slide lock curve can be given a shape to which all possible needle lock curves, i.e. the lock curves for knitting, catching and concentric running, can be adapted in such a way that the respective needle function is easily fulfilled at high machine speed.
- the needle slide curve is designed in such a way that it rises later than the needle curve for knitting and rises at the same time or offset compared to the needle curve for catching.
- the object is completely achieved with a circular knitting machine designed according to the invention.
- the castle structure does not get more complicated.
- the dimensions of the systems, the slide needles and the needle carrier do not have to be enlarged compared to previously known and comparable constructions. All needle positions can be reached without restrictions for extensive pattern options.
- the circular knitting machine shown in FIG. 1 has a circumferential cylindrical knitting tool carrier 10/14 which is divided into a needle cylinder part 10 and a sinker cylinder part 14, both of which are firmly connected to one another by means of screws 15.
- the outer jacket of the needle cylinder part 10 is occupied in a known manner with axially parallel guide webs 11 for shafts 12.1 inserted between them by slide needles 12.
- the guide webs 16 for the sinkers 17 are inserted in the sinker cylinder part 14 with the same pitch as the guide ribs 11 of the needle cylinder part 10, but are facing the guide ribs 11 of the Needle cylinder part 10 on gap.
- the needle shafts 12.1 slide with the needle back on the end face of the board guide webs 16.
- the needle cylinder part 10 and the coaxial sinker cylinder part 14 are surrounded by a common lock jacket 18, which in a known manner has lock parts for controlling the slide needles 12, the needle slide 13 and the sinkers 17.
- a hold-down device 57 acts on the needle shafts 12.1 below the head 12.2 of the pusher needles 12.
- the needle slides 13 used to close the needle head 12.2 are designed such that their tip 13.1 can pass through the needle head 12.2. They protrude with a foot 13.2 into a slide lock track 41 of the lock casing 18.
- the individual structure of the slide needle 12 and the mounting of the slide 13 in the needle shaft 12.1 is not essential to the invention and is therefore not shown in detail.
- the slide needles 12 are provided with a control foot 21, which can be located at one of four possible locations, which have a different distance from the needle head 12.2 and each in one of several, Needle lock tracks 20.1-20.4 formed in the lock jacket 18 protrude, as can best be seen from FIG. 2.
- the blanks 17 shown in FIG. 1 are designed as containment / knock-off blanks with the head part which is characteristic of this type of blanks and which has a knock-over edge 23 which opens at one end into an inclusion groove 25 for enclosing the stitches.
- the Longitudinal displacement of the circuit board 17 is effected on a central control foot 26, at the height of which the circuit board is supported on the circuit board cylinder part 14 with a rounded projection 27.
- the pivoting movement of the boards 17 around the projection 27 is controlled by pressure feet 29 and 30, which are located on opposite sides of the control foot 26 on the relatively short board shaft.
- a change in stitch length is effected solely by adjusting the stroke of the enclosing / knock-off sinkers 17.
- the lock parts 48, 49 acting on the control foot 26 of the boards 17 are fastened on an adjustable lock plate 42.
- This lock plate 42 is coupled via an eccentric pin 53 to an actuating shaft 54 which leads to the outside and ends in an outer adjusting disc 55.
- the Kulierweg the boards 17 can be set on the adjusting disc 55.
- Fig. 2 shows in the left part four slide needles 12, which are intended for cooperation with known, horizontally mounted inclusion boards and thus have slightly different dimensions than the slide needle 12 shown in Fig. 1.
- the four slide needles 12 shown in FIG. 2 differ only in a different arrangement of their control foot 21.
- the control feet 21 are aligned with four needle lock tracks 20.1, 20.2, 20.3 or 20.4 shown in the right part of FIG. 2, each of which has four systems I - IV of the circular knitting machine are shown.
- the four needle lock tracks 20.1 - 20.4 have, in accordance with the 3-way technique for needle control that can be achieved with them, the successive ones Systems a different course.
- the upper slide lock curve 41 for the control foot 13.2 of the needle slide 13 has exactly the same course in each system.
- the pushing needles 12 projecting into the uppermost needle lock track 20.1 with their control foot 21 are driven out into the knitting position in system I, in the following system II only up to the catching position, remain in the concentric position in system III and are again in the knitting position in system IV expelled.
- the slide needles 12 protruding into the needle lock track 20.2 with their control foot 21 are driven out in the system I to the catch position, remain in the system II in the concentric position and are driven out into the knitting position in the following systems III and IV.
- weave patterns can be produced, the pattern width of which is four stitches. The height of the pattern depends on the number of systems in the circular knitting machine.
- the slide lock track 41 can always maintain the same course for each type of needle lock track, i.e. its course for knitting, catching or running, the lock tracks must have a coordinated course that is not from the overview in FIG. 2, but from the following 3 to 14 can be seen in more detail.
- jacquard patterns with individual needle selection by known mechanical or electronic pattern devices or selection devices are also possible.
- FIGS. 3, 5 and 7 show in a circular knitting machine which is equipped with slide needles and with boards which can be adjusted horizontally perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the needle, the movement curve for the needle slide tip, the movement curves of the needle head for the possible needle positions knitting, tucking and concentricity and, in addition, the here less interesting curve of the board movement.
- FIGS. 4, 6 and 8 show the relative position of the needle shaft and needle slide at eight points 1-8 designated in FIGS. 3, 5 and 7.
- FIG. 3 shows curve 32, which the needle slide tip 13.1 follows, and curve 33, which the needle head 12.2 follows in the knitting needle position.
- the curve 37 is drawn in which the throat 25 of the board 17 'follows.
- the curve 32 shows that when running through a system, the slide tip 13.1 is first raised to a height before position 1, which corresponds to the concentric height of the needle head 12.2 and the height of the tapping edge 23 of the board 17 '. The slider tip 13.1 remains at this height up to point 3.
- the needle slide tip 13.1 is driven out to approximately the level of the thread feed point 28, from point 5, and thus before it is reached the thread feed point 28, but again lowered to below the thread feed height and then held up to point 7 at a height which is above the stitch drop height.
- the needle slide tip 13.1 is then pulled down to the thread knock-off height designated 38 at position 8 in FIG. 3, namely congruently with the curve 33 for the needle head 12.2.
- the curve 33 for the knitting position shows that the needle head 12.2 is driven out from position 1 and thus much earlier than the needle slide 13 until it reaches the knitting position between positions 3 and 4.
- Fig. 7 shows the conditions for the needle position concentricity.
- 7 shows a curve 35 for the curve 32 for the needle slide tip 13.1, which the needle head 12.2 follows.
- the curve 35 essentially follows the curve 32 such that the needle head 12.2 is practically always closed by the needle slide 13, as shown in FIG. 8.
- the slider tip 13.1 also extends beyond the needle head 12.2 between positions 4 to 7.
- the needle head 12.2 is through the slide tip 13.1 half released again.
- the lowering movement of curve 35 relative to curve 32 for the needle slide between positions 6 and 7 has the effect that the needle head does not hinder the insertion of the thread into a preceding needle.
- the curve 32 for the slide tip 13.1 is, however, not lowered very far, so that it is ensured that in the needle position knitting the old stitch 40 (see FIG. 4) between the positions 6 and 7 on the slide 13 does not reenter the needle head 12.2 can fall behind.
- FIGS. 9 to 14 show the shape and the relative course of the curves in the case of sliding needles which, according to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, cooperate with sinkers 17 which, in accordance with a curve 36 shown in FIGS. 9, 11 and 13, also in the longitudinal direction of FIG Slider needles are adjustable.
- the curve 32 'shown in FIGS. 9, 11 and 13' for the needle slide tip 13.1 is again the same for all needle positions knitting, catching and concentricity, but has a different course than the curve 32 shown in FIGS. 3, 5 and 7
- the slide tip 13.1 initially remains in its lowest trigger position, which corresponds to the drawn-in height 38, over at least one third of the system length, here up to point 4.
- the pusher tip 13.1 is driven out to a height below the thread feed height, at which it remains held over the thread insertion point 5 and only after the thread feed point 28 further and according to curve 32 'together with the inclusion / knock-off plate 17 to to the positions 6 and 7 in FIGS. 10, 12 and 14 apparent height is expelled. Finally, the needle tip 13.1 is withdrawn congruently with the curving sections of the curves for the needle head 12.2 down to the lowest trigger position 38.
- Fig. 9 shows the curve 32 'for the needle slide tip 13.1 together with the curve 33', which the needle head 12.2 follows in the knitting position.
- the result of the course of the curves 32 ', 33' and the curves 36 and 37 'for the sinkers 17 relative position of slide needle 12, needle slide 13 with needle slide tip 13.1 and enclosing / knock-off boards 17 at positions 1 to 8 is shown in Fig 10 can be seen and requires no further explanation.
- FIG. 11 shows the curve 32 'for the needle slide tip 13.1 together with the curve 34', which follows the needle head 12.2 in the catch needle position.
- a comparison of FIGS. 9 and 11 shows that the needle ejection for the catch position takes place later than for the knitting position, and that, according to FIG. 12, it is ensured for the catch position that the slide tip 13.1 never opens the needle head fully, but always protrudes from the needle shaft, as has already been explained in connection with FIGS. 5 and 6.
- FIG. 12 again shows the relative position of the individual moving parts at points 1 to 8 of the system.
- FIG. 13 and 14 show the conditions for the needle position concentricity.
- Fig. 13 shows next to the curve 32 'a curve 35', which follows the needle head 12.2.
- the needle head 12.2 is opposite Needle pusher tip 13.1 driven out so far that the needle head 12.2 is not completely closed.
- FIG. 14 shows, however, that at the other points 3 to 8 the needle head is always closed by the needle slide tip 13.1, which again moves beyond the needle head.
- the invention is not limited to the circuit board guide and circuit board mounting shown in FIG. 1 and described here.
- the invention can also relate to machines with boards mounted horizontally in a separate board ring.

Description
The invention relates to a circular knitting machine with at least one needle carrier with slider needles, the head and slider of which are separately controlled and designed so that the tip of the slider can pass through the needle head, with lock curves for controlling the needles for knitting, catching or true running and with a sinker lock curve controlled boards interacting with the pusher needles.
Circular knitting machines with slide needles have already been known or proposed because higher needle adjustment speeds can be achieved by replacing a needle tongue with a controlled needle slide. In this context, a knitting machine has already been proposed (DE-C1-35 40 685), in which the slide of the slide needles, which interact with sinkers, is held immovably at a constant height. But it has been shown that with an uncontrolled Needle pusher certain restrictions in the adjustment width of lock parts have to be accepted if a high level of operational safety is to be guaranteed in every control position of the knitting tools. However, the aim is to use pusher needles in a circular knitting machine with a needle selection device, which permits needle adjustment for knitting, catching or concentricity. In the previously known control of slide needles, in which - apart from the proposal according to DE-PS 35 40 685 - the needle slide and the rest of the needle are controlled separately by means of separate lock curves, a needle selection device should also have the lock track for the needle slide changing device parts what for a needle selection device for a 3-way technique would mean a considerable effort. Even when using the so-called 3-way technology with several lock tracks, in which separate lock tracks are designed for knitting, catching and running and needles with control feet aligned to the individual lock tracks, the need for control needles for each of the three would also have to be according to the previous control technology Needle lock tracks a slide lock curve adapted to it can be provided. This would result in large lock heights and correspondingly large needle lengths and also needle slide lengths, and even larger needle masses would have to be moved than before.
The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a circular knitting machine with controllable slide needles in such a way that an increase in the mass of known slide needles and the expenditure on control devices of a needle selection device and the expenditure on lock parts Compared to previously known and comparable circular knitting machines is not required, however, no restriction of the range of variation of previously known comparable machines has to be accepted.
The object is achieved according to the invention in a circular knitting machine of the type mentioned in the introduction in that only a single lock curve causing longitudinal movements of the slide is formed for the slide needles of the slide needles for all needle lock curves.
In a circular knitting machine designed according to the invention, there is therefore no need to provide selection devices or adjusting devices for the needle slides, regardless of whether a 3-way technique is used for selecting a jacquard needle or for locks with one or more lock tracks. With the circular knitting machine with sliding needles designed according to the invention, the needles can be controlled in a pattern according to the pattern knitting, catching or non-knitting within a row of stitches.
The highest speeds are currently achieved with single-speed circular knitting machines, in which the needles interact with sinkers. Accordingly, the subject matter of the invention has been developed primarily for circular knitting machines of this type. It has been shown that both in the case that the pusher needles perform a longitudinal movement alone during the threading, and in the event that the threading takes place partly through a longitudinal movement of the needles and partly through a longitudinal adjustment of combined inclusion / knock-off sinkers, the slide lock curve can be given a shape to which all possible needle lock curves, i.e. the lock curves for knitting, catching and concentric running, can be adapted in such a way that the respective needle function is easily fulfilled at high machine speed. The needle slide curve is designed in such a way that it rises later than the needle curve for knitting and rises at the same time or offset compared to the needle curve for catching. The features essential to the invention are listed in the subclaims and are explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing.
The object is completely achieved with a circular knitting machine designed according to the invention. The castle structure does not get more complicated. The dimensions of the systems, the slide needles and the needle carrier do not have to be enlarged compared to previously known and comparable constructions. All needle positions can be reached without restrictions for extensive pattern options.
The accompanying drawing explains the subject matter of the invention with reference to two exemplary embodiments, the illustrations being limited to the lock tracks essential to the invention, in order to show the control of the needle head and the needle slide caused by the different needle functions, and only for one of the exemplary embodiments a radial partial longitudinal section through one Circular knitting machine is given as an overview.

The
In the circular knitting machine shown, a change in stitch length is effected solely by adjusting the stroke of the enclosing / knock-off
Fig. 2 shows in the left part four slide needles 12, which are intended for cooperation with known, horizontally mounted inclusion boards and thus have slightly different dimensions than the
The pushing needles 12 projecting into the uppermost needle lock track 20.1 with their
Außerdem ist aus den Fig. 4, 6 und 8 die Relativstellung von Nadelschaft und Nadelschieber an acht in den Fig. 3, 5 und 7 bezeichneten Stellen 1 - 8 ersichtlich.3, 5 and 7 show in a circular knitting machine which is equipped with slide needles and with boards which can be adjusted horizontally perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the needle, the movement curve for the needle slide tip, the movement curves of the needle head for the possible needle positions knitting, tucking and concentricity and, in addition, the here less interesting curve of the board movement. In addition, FIGS. 4, 6 and 8 show the relative position of the needle shaft and needle slide at eight points 1-8 designated in FIGS. 3, 5 and 7.
Fig. 7 shows the conditions for the needle position concentricity. 7 shows a
Schließlich wird die Nadelspitze 13.1 deckungsgleich mit den Kulierabschnitten der Kurven für den Nadelkopf 12.2 bis zur tiefsten Abzugsstellung 38 wieder abgezogen.FIGS. 9 to 14 show the shape and the relative course of the curves in the case of sliding needles which, according to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, cooperate with
Fig. 9 shows the curve 32 'for the needle slide tip 13.1 together with the curve 33', which the needle head 12.2 follows in the knitting position. The result of the course of the curves 32 ', 33' and the
Fig. 11 shows the curve 32 'for the needle slide tip 13.1 together with the curve 34', which follows the needle head 12.2 in the catch needle position. Here, too, a comparison of FIGS. 5 and 6. FIG. 12 again shows the relative position of the individual moving parts at
Fig. 14 zeigt aber, daß an den anderen Stellen 3 bis 8 der Nadelkopf immer durch die sich wieder bis über den Nadelkopf hinaus bewegende Nadelschieberspitze 13.1 geschlossen ist.13 and 14 show the conditions for the needle position concentricity. Fig. 13 shows next to the curve 32 'a curve 35', which follows the needle head 12.2. Between
The invention is not limited to the circuit board guide and circuit board mounting shown in FIG. 1 and described here. The invention can also relate to machines with boards mounted horizontally in a separate board ring.
