Abstract

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum automatischen Füllen einer Stranggießkokille mit (Stahl-)Schmelze, bei dem die Schmelze (13) durch eine mittels eines automatisch betätigten Stopfens (15) verschließbare Bodenausflußöffnung (14) einer Verteilerrinne (10) oder eines Zwischengefäßes geregelt in die Stranggießkokille (18) gegossen wird, wobei während des Füllens der Stranggießkokille (18) der Stopfen (15) vorgege­ bene, insbesondere von der Badspiegelhöhe (19) in der Stranggießkokille (18) abhängige, Auf- und Abwärtsbewegungen (Doppelpfeil 45) ausführt, und zwar gegen die Wirkung einer den Stopfen (15) in Schließstellung drängenden Kraft. Die Auf- und Abwärtsbewegung des Stopfens (15) erfolgt durch ein unmittelbar am oberen Ende desselben angreifendes Stellorgan (B).
