Claims (8)

1. A lecture easel, comprising a frame formed by an extrusion that when seen in transverse section shows:
a tubular main portion (7) extended at its side by
an appendage (8) equipped, on one of its faces orientated perpendicularly to the main portion, with means to mount a panel

characterized in that the extrusion forming the frame comprises a tubular main portion (7) of square section, extended at its side by an appendage (8) formed by a tubular portion of rectangular cross-section, one of the walls of which is which is in the extension of one of the walls of the main portion, this appendage presenting in its end face a recess (9) of approximately semi-cylindrical shape for the articulation of a shutter (22) capable of occupying two stable positions, in the direction of extension of the appendage and perpendicular thereto respectively, and being equipped with a tubular return (10) of approximately rectangular cross-section, this return bounding with the main portion of the profile section and the appendage thereof a recess of general U-shape.
2. An easel according to Claim 1, characterized in that a longitudinal rib (12) projects from appendage (8) parallel to return (10), this rib being located at half the distance between the main portion (7) of the extrusion and the return (10) and being of a height less than that of the return (10).

An easel according to either of Claims 1 or 2, characterized in that each shutter (22) comprises, near to one of its edges, a fitment (20) of cylindrical section intended to be engaged elastically into the semi-spherical recess (9) provided in the face at the end of the appendage (8) to the extrusion.

An easel according to Claim 3, characterized in that each shutter (22) presents a wing extending perpendicularly on the same side as the articulation fitment (20) and having an enlarged end (23) that is intended, when the shutter is parallel to the frame of the easel, to penetrate elastically into a recess (24) provided in return (10) of profile (2).
5. An easel according to either of Claims 3 or 4,characterized in that each shutter (22) presents, at its end opposite to that adjacent to articulation fitment (20), a lip (25) projecting at the same side as the said fitment.

An easel according to any of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the upper length (3) of extrusion serves to accomodate in its main tubular portion (7) two extrusions (29) of length less than that of the length (3) and of cross-section slightly less than half the cross-section of the tubular portion (7), each of these extrusions (29) passing through a corner piece (6) connecting the length of extrusion (3) to an adjacent length of extrusion (5).
7. An easel according to Claim 6, characterized in that the ends (34) of extrusions (29) situated inside the length of extrusion (3) are bevelled.
8. An easel according to either of Claims 6 or 7, characterized in that each extrusion (29) is equipped with means of locking it into the length of extrusion (3), consisting of a catch-pin (30) pressed by a spring (32) and penetrating into an aperture (33) provided in the length of extrusion (3).
