Definitions

  • the invention relates to a bearing for changing application rollers of printing machines according to the preamble of the first claim.
  • Bearings for iridescent inking rollers are known from various publications.
  • DE-PS 3 034 644 describes e.g. an inking unit, in which four application rollers are driven by the associated friction rollers via spur gears and an axial movement can be carried out via a drum curve arranged on the axis of the application rollers.
  • the last inking roller, seen in the direction of rotation of the plate cylinder, has an iridescent design to improve the stenciling behavior of an inking unit.
  • an inking unit is also known, in which stenciling phenomena on the printing plate or the printed image are avoided in a simple manner with uniform coloring of the plate cylinder.
  • the oscillating inking roller executes an asynchronous lateral movement to a friction roller, from which the drive of the application roller is derived by friction.
  • the roller jacket of the changing inking roller is both rotatable and rotatable on a roller axis arranged in bearings axially displaceably mounted, the axial stroke is limited on both sides by two bushes, between which a compression spring is provided on each roll side.
  • the disadvantage is that, due to the lack of stroke adjustment, the effectiveness of the traversing movement cannot be adequately adapted to the pressure subject in order to avoid stenciling. In addition, the traversing movement cannot be completely deactivated. In a very large number of cases, the traversing of the application rollers is not necessary at all.
  • a so-called anti-stencil roller is also known, which is adjustable in the axial stroke and is also driven in a simple manner by frictional engagement by an adjacent friction roller.
  • the anti-stencil roller is inserted into existing roller locks instead of the last inking roller seen in the direction of rotation of the plate cylinder.
  • the axial stroke is adjustable, but there is no possibility of completely stopping the axial stroke.
  • This anti-stencil roller also has the disadvantage, as well as all the previously known changeable inking rollers, that a special roller construction is required for each application because an intervention in the roller shell must always be carried out in order to provide the inking rollers with an axial stroke.
  • the main advantage of the invention is that existing paint, varnish or dampening rollers with their journals only have to be inserted into anti-stencil roller locks according to the invention. Retrofitting any printing press is no problem. So far, a special roller construction has always been required. Since the friction drive can be adjusted steplessly or in stages, subject-dependent strips can be eliminated in an improved adaptation to the existing subject than with friction drives without stroke adjustment. The small interval-like stroke of the changing application rollers ensures gentle treatment of the printing plate or blanket cylinder. With the stroke adjustment, the rubbing function of the changing application rollers can be turned off completely in a simple manner.
  • the anti-stencil roller locks can be operated at a standstill or even while the machine is running, by hand or automatically via known actuating gears, which makes the adjustment easy to service.
  • dampening solution and ink are fed to a plate cylinder 11 in a known manner.
  • dampening rollers 9.1 and one dampening roller 9.2 are each assigned friction rollers 12.
  • the inking rollers 9. 1 or the dampening roller 9. 2 perform a back and forth movement for the lateral rubbing of an ink or a dampening solution, the roller shells of which are driven by frictional engagement by the friction rollers 12 interacting with them according to FIG. 2.
  • the inking rollers 9.1 or the dampening roller 9.2 follow the rubbing rollers 12 by the amount a and remain in the respective end position until the rubbing rollers 12 experience a reversal of movement in their respective dead center. It is therefore a synchronous lateral movement of the inking rollers 9.1 and the dampening roller 9.2 each to the adjacent friction rollers 12th
  • FIGS. 3 to 6 show embodiment variants of the storage according to the invention for the oscillating application rollers 9.1, 9.2.
  • both the inking rollers 9.1 and the dampening roller 9.2 are in pivotable bearings 2, e.g. Pivot bearing levers can be lifted off the plate cylinder 11 in a known manner.
  • the rubber and plate cylinders are also turned off from one another, so that their lateral surfaces no longer touch.
  • the inner ring of the roller bearings 6 and the extended inner sleeve 3 of the needle bearing 5 are each in accordance with the embodiment variant according to FIGS. 3 and 4 with a spring ring 4 or according to the embodiment variant according to FIGS. 5 and 6 with cover disks 13, screws 14 and an additional shoulder ring 15 axially fixed on the stubs of the inking rollers 9.1 and the dampening roller 9.2.
  • the axial displacement movement can be adjusted by turning and moving the anti-stencil roller locks 1 in the stroke as well as on and off, depending on the requirements of the various print jobs.
  • the axial stroke is limited by a shoulder ring 21 of the anti-stencil roller lock 1 which interacts with the outer ring 19 of the roller bearing 6.
  • a first embodiment variant of a radial locking device 7, 8, 18 is provided, which consists of a stop block 7 and a ball catch 8 interacting with a groove 18 in the anti-stencil roller lock 1.
  • By moving and adjusting the anti-stencil roller lock 1 by 180 ° can the stop block 7 and the groove 18 gradually in the parking position shown in Fig. 3, further in the Fig. 4 in a central position at max. Stroke a shown traversing position or in two further traversing positions, not shown, with a stroke size of a / 2 by alternating rotation of the left or right stop block 7.
  • the axial displacement according to FIGS. 5 and 6 can be continuously adjusted in the stroke as well as turned on and off will.
  • the radial locking device 17, 22 has an eccentric clamping cam 17 in the anti-stencil roller lock 1 which interacts with a concentric recess 22 in the pivotable mounting 2.
  • the pivotable mounting 2 all the bores 22, 23 are formed concentrically, while in the anti-stencil roller lock 1, apart from the eccentric clamping cam 17, all the other bores or outer diameters are likewise concentric.
  • FIG. 5 of the embodiment variant shows the trituration function that has been switched off, while in FIG. 6, with the trituration function activated, the dampening roller 9.2 is shown in a central position of the traversing stroke a.
  • the drive 16 designated in FIGS. 5 and 6 with a slip clutch for the dampening roller 9.2 is of no particular importance for the solution according to the invention and can therefore also be omitted.
  • the gap 20 according to FIG. 6 is chosen to be larger than a / 2, so that an axial play is maintained in order to be able to set the maximum stroke a between the shoulder ring 21 and the outer ring 19 of the roller bearing 6 without hindrance.
  • the anti-stencil roller locks can be operated by hand, but can also be mechanized or automated, e.g. in connection with known actuators, not shown. The operation can take place both at a standstill and when the machine is running.
  • the anti-stencil roller locks 1 can be used for any application rollers, for example dampening, inking and varnishing rollers, one or more rollers being easily equipped with the anti-stencil roller locks 1.
  • the rubbing thus obtained eliminates streaking, caused by the build-up of the processed media in damp, ink and lacquer units as a result of irregular consumption on a plate or blanket.
  • the trituration can be set to a certain stroke or can be completely switched off without additional effort. It is generated in a simple manner by friction from existing friction rollers 12.
