Definitions
- the invention relates to a flow guide surface for double screw arrangements of ships, which are supported by shaft brackets using a profiled and arcuate design, the arc is arranged transversely to the flow direction in front of the propeller at least in the sector between the shaft bracket arms and the arcuate part of the guide surface one after has a skeleton line inclined towards the propeller shaft.
- a flow control surface at the stern of screw-in ships is known.
- the guide surfaces form a closed ring together with the outer skin. This design accelerates the flow on the outer skin in the area of the guide surface, and essentially reduces the flow separation on the hull. However, this does not occur in ships with double screws.
- the propeller shafts are freely guided through the water over such a distance that the propeller shafts must be supported at the end. This is usually done by two-armed wave blocks.
- the propeller shafts, which run at an angle to the flow, and the shaft brackets slow down the flow speed and thus increase the co-current that comes about through the boundary layer of the hull and through the flow separation.
- the non-uniformity of the water flow to the propeller means one Deterioration in propeller efficiency.
- the area with low inflow velocity is also an area with higher local propeller loads. This means that stronger pressure impulses are exerted on the nearby outer skin areas from there. This area of high pressure emission is usually the closest to the outer skin. This area is also particularly at risk of cavitation due to the high shear stress and the relatively low water column above it.
- the object of the invention is to provide a generic arrangement that enables the propeller inflow to be evened out with an improvement in the propeller efficiency and prevents the formation of stronger pressure pulses on the outer skin.
- the guide surface is arranged to form a passage area to the ship's outer skin and at a distance from the propeller shaft at the profile trailing edge between 70 and 130% of the propeller radius and the suction side of the nozzle profile in the curved nozzle part is directed to the propeller shaft and that the amidships side connects the guide surface to an additional guide surface part that runs approximately horizontally and radially to the propeller shaft.
- the inflow speed is increased in the area which the guiding surface encloses. This local increase in flow velocity takes place in a region with a stronger wake. This is associated with an equalization of the propeller inflow and an improvement in the propeller efficiency.
- the profile of the guide surface has a curve at least in a partial area such that the rear of the profile follows the beam contraction.
- air outlet openings in the guide surface for air supply to the propeller inflow are arranged.
- a midship plane 1, a frame contour 2 and a gill line 3 of a side contour in the propeller area of a hull are designated.
- the propeller 6 is held via its propeller shaft 8 via arms 4 to form a shaft bracket and provided with a shaft bracket nut 5.
- a profiled curved guide surface 9 is arranged above the propeller shaft 8 in the sector between the arms 4 and laterally beyond. This guide surface 9 is arranged with a backward falling skeleton line that the inflow speed is increased in this area.
- the front storage space of the guide surface 9 thus has a greater distance from the propeller shaft 8 than the profile end. This local increase in the flow velocity takes place in a region with a greater wake and means an equalization of the propeller inflow and at the same time an improvement in the propeller efficiency.
- the co-current field in the hatching area 10 is moderately pronounced and between the arms 4 in region 11 is more pronounced.
- the co-current field is influenced by the guide surface 9 and the propeller inflow area has a more uniform one Speed distribution on.
- the guide surface 9 is used for air supply.
- the interior 13 is delimited by an inner wall 14 and an outer wall 15 and supplied by compressed air.
- the compressed air exits into the propeller inflow via corresponding outlet openings 16 of the guide surface, and this results in a relief of the propeller tips and a reduction in vibration.

Description
- einarmige Wellenböcke, die aber noch größere Querschnitte der Arme erfordern als zweiarme Wellenböcke;
- Grimsche Wellen, bei denen die Propellerwelle in einem elastischen Rohr geführt wird, an dessen propellerseitigem Ende ein Traglager eingebaut ist;
- Benutzung der Wellenbockarme als Leitflächen mit der Wirkung, den Bereich zwischen den Armen als Düse zu gestalten. Weiterhin kann mit den Wellenbockarmen ein Gegendrall erzeugt werden;
- Abschirmung des Schiffskörpers von der Propellerwirkung durch ein in Strömungsrichtung zwischen Propeller und Schiffsaußenhaut angeordnetes Blech. Damit wird nicht die Ungleichmäßigkeit des Propellerzustroms beseitigt, aber die Druckimpulse können abgefangen werden;
- Fig. 5 Darstellung des Mitstromfeldes mit einer Leitfläche,
- Fig. 6 Darstellung des Mitstromfeldes ohne Leitfläche.
