Definitions
- the invention relates to an adaptation cartridge for insertion tube systems, consisting essentially of a cartridge housing, an axially adjoining firing pin sleeve, a cartridge base and a cylindrical jacket housing.
- An adaptation cartridge of the aforementioned type is known, for example, from German Offenlegungsschrift 33 39 745.
- the cartridge housing, the cartridge base and also the cylindrical jacket are made of metal, for example of brass.
- these brass sleeves have the disadvantage of a specific density of 8.5 g / cm3, which means that the total weight of the adaptation cartridge is at the permissible upper limit.
- Another disadvantage is that after the shot the adaptation cartridges are ejected from the cannon true to the original and fall into the so-called sleeve collection box. This leads to damage to the adaption cartridge located at the bottom, which has dents and dents due to the impact of the newly ejected cartridges and can therefore no longer be loaded within a short time. The relatively complex and expensive brass sleeve must therefore be replaced in a short time.
- the cartridge base which is firmly connected to the casing housing, has a sleeve pull-out edge which is firmly enclosed by a plastic ring.
- the cartridge base is pot-shaped and has a radially circumferential sleeve pull-out rim which is firmly enclosed on all sides by a plastic ring which is approximately flush with the outer end face of the cartridge base and the cylindrical wall of the cartridge base is also reduced in its outer diameter in its end region facing away from the base , wherein this end region is firmly connected to the casing.
- the jacket housing consists of a fiber-reinforced plastic.
- the use of the fiber-reinforced plastic only gives the jacket housing a specific weight of about 2 g / cm3. This considerably simplifies the handling of the adaptation cartridge. Enclosing the sleeve pull-out edge with a plastic ring prevents damage to the adaptation cartridges in the event of an impact. On the one hand, the plastic ring on the sleeve pull-out edge is sufficiently elastic, despite sufficient strength, to prevent notches and dents from knocking in on impact with a further adaptation cartridge, and on the other hand, the casing made of fiber-reinforced plastic is so resistant that when other adaptation cartridges impact with a plastic-coated sleeve pull-out edge Damage to their surface cannot occur.
- the adaptation cartridges used according to the state of the art are usually equipped with brass sleeves.
- the brass sleeves When ejecting such an adaptation cartridge, the brass sleeves are beaten against each other so strongly that bulges in convex and concave form are formed on them.
- loading into the cargo space for example a battle tank cannon, is no longer possible after a short time.
- the elaborately manufactured and expensive brass sleeve must be replaced with a completely new adaptation cartridge after only 20 to 30 applications.
- the casing 1 is made of a fiber-reinforced plastic in winding, injection molding or casting technology. Such a casing 1 has very good mechanical properties. There are no permanent deformations under loads. As a result, such an adaptation cartridge 2 can always be loaded.
- the specific gravity of the casing 1 made of fiber-reinforced plastic is about 2 g / cm 3, so that the total weight falls in the middle range of the ammunition used.
- the casing 1 is firmly connected to the cartridge base 11.
- the cartridge base is made in two parts and has a cylindrical wall part 4 and a bottom surface 3, both of which are mechanically immovably connected to one another.
- This division 5 allows the simple manufacture of the casing on a mandrel.
- the cylindrical wall 4 of the cartridge bottom 11 has a circumferential sleeve pull-out edge 7, which is firmly enclosed by a plastic ring 8 by casting or injection molding.
- This plastic ring 8 of the sleeve pull-out edge 7 consists of an impact-resistant and abrasion-resistant plastic and thus serves as an attenuator when the adaptation cartridge is opened in the tub, or in the other used adaptation cartridges lying in the tub.
- the casing housings are therefore loaded much less than is the case with the metal housings according to the prior art.
- the service life is significantly increased.
- the sleeve collecting box is advantageously less stressed.
- the end wall of the cylindrical wall 4 of the cartridge base 11 is reduced in outer diameter 12.
- the casing 1 is firmly connected to the cartridge base 11 using winding technology.
- the winding technology creates a non-releasable connection 6 between the cylindrical wall 4 and the jacket housing 1.
- the jacket housing 1 obtains very high strength through appropriate hardening of the plastic.
- the cartridge housing 9 and the firing pin sleeve 10 are located axially one behind the other in a central arrangement.

Description
The invention relates to an adaptation cartridge for insertion tube systems, consisting essentially of a cartridge housing, an axially adjoining firing pin sleeve, a cartridge base and a cylindrical jacket housing.
An adaptation cartridge of the aforementioned type is known, for example, from German Offenlegungsschrift 33 39 745. The cartridge housing, the cartridge base and also the cylindrical jacket are made of metal, for example of brass. However, these brass sleeves have the disadvantage of a specific density of 8.5 g / cm³, which means that the total weight of the adaptation cartridge is at the permissible upper limit. Another disadvantage is that after the shot the adaptation cartridges are ejected from the cannon true to the original and fall into the so-called sleeve collection box. This leads to damage to the adaption cartridge located at the bottom, which has dents and dents due to the impact of the newly ejected cartridges and can therefore no longer be loaded within a short time. The relatively complex and expensive brass sleeve must therefore be replaced in a short time.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide an adaptation cartridge of the type mentioned at the outset, which is only light in weight and also avoids the damage described by collapsing.
According to the invention, as set out in
In contrast to the brass sleeve of the prior art, the use of the fiber-reinforced plastic only gives the jacket housing a specific weight of about 2 g / cm³.
Inventive designs of the main features are listed in

The adaptation cartridges used according to the state of the art are usually equipped with brass sleeves. When ejecting such an adaptation cartridge, the brass sleeves are beaten against each other so strongly that bulges in convex and concave form are formed on them. As a result, loading into the cargo space, for example a battle tank cannon, is no longer possible after a short time. The elaborately manufactured and expensive brass sleeve must be replaced with a completely new adaptation cartridge after only 20 to 30 applications.
In order to increase the service life and achieve a reduction in weight, the
The
This
The
The end wall of the
Innerhalb des Mantelgehäuses 1 befinden sich in zentrischer Anordnung axial hintereinander das Patronengehäuse 9 und die Schlagbolzenhülse 10.Within the
