Description

The invention relates to a modular building element intended more particularly for the manufacture of cells for receiving funeral urns for a columbarium, but also for fireworks and for the construction of any dwelling.

It will find its application in particular in the fields of the marble industry and the prefabrication of molded construction elements.

For economic purposes and to facilitate implementation, attempts have long been made, in the construction field, to substitute for manufacturing on site industrial prefabrications which make it possible to obtain identical and sometimes technically improved functions.

In this area, molded concrete has played a large role and, for example in the area of housing construction, many masonry elements have given way to precast concrete molds.

In the case of elements of simple geometric shape, such as wall walls, the substitution is hardly complex in particular because of the absence of mechanical function of these elements.

On the other hand, when it comes to producing products having a certain complexity in their shape, such as, for example, honeycomb lockers, the difficulties in the search for suitable geometric shapes have hitherto put off manufacturers.

For example, in the case of a columbarium intended to receive funeral urns, the complexity of producing the cells means that currently, these are produced in a single piece by four or eight compartments, simultaneously.

The lockers can be juxtaposed or stacked and fixed together to form a honeycomb wall in which the funeral urns are stored.

The current prefabrication technique is however unsuitable for use.

Indeed, the simultaneous production of four or eight cells is not satisfactory given the unit requirements of these cells. In addition, the juxtaposition or superposition of the blocks of four or eight cells makes that at the junction, two walls are placed side by side, which is unnecessary and causes a loss of space.

The search for a geometric shape suitable for modular cell construction must meet two criteria.

On the one hand, there must be a rigorous respect for the geometric form. Furthermore, the modular element must allow a nesting and nesting of the construction which allow it to withstand the significant mechanical stresses which can be generated at the base when many cells are stacked.

Document FR-A-2 514 804 describes a modular element comprising notches and protrusions, alternating along the two opposite sides of the element. This element does not allow juxtaposed cells having a common wall to be produced.

Document BE-A-852 817 describes an element comprising, as the case may be, a middle notch, or a notch and a projection along one of its sides, but it is not possible, using such elements, to produce a structure having in section a closed contour.

The main object of the present invention is to present a modular construction element which meets the two preceding requirements.

In particular, the modular element of the present invention is particularly well suited for the manufacture of cells for receiving funeral urns from a columbarium.

The use of the modular element of the present invention brings numerous advantages compared to the lockers of four or eight current housings.

On the one hand, there is space saving since at no place, there is juxtaposition of two walls which would result from the establishment of two neighboring lockers.

Furthermore, the construction of additional cells requires the use of two modular elements per cell, that is to say that this form of construction is particularly economical.

Furthermore, the particular geometric shape which has been adopted preferentially according to one of the embodiments of the present invention is particularly well suited to industrial manufacturing due, in particular, to the simplicity of its outline.

Numerous construction elements can be used for the manufacture of the modular element of the present invention, which considerably widens its field of application and in particular massive forms of concrete can be envisaged for example for the realization of residential wall walls dwellings.

The modular element of the invention is of the kind of those having on two opposite sides a notch and a projection, one facing the other, substantially the same length and the same height, and it is characterized in that said height is equal to half the thickness of said element so that at least two modular elements, arranged coplanarly and symmetrically side by side and with their notches facing each other, form a housing, the opening is twice the height of a notch or a projection and in which housing fits the projection of another modular element, arranged transversely to the aforementioned elements to build adjacent cells.

The invention relates to a modular construction element intended in particular for the manufacture of cells for receiving funeral urns from a columbarium.

Although the invention has been more particularly developed for the above-mentioned application, many other applications can be envisaged by using the properties of the modular building elements of the present invention.

Thus, the use of massive modular elements can allow the manufacture of wall walls of residential housing.

The properties released by the use of the characteristics of the present invention are the formation of regular geometric shapes, in particular the production of juxtaposed cells and the mechanical interlocking of the various modular elements so as to form a compact and mechanically very resistant unit.

Furthermore, the modular construction elements of the present invention make it possible to produce either the vertical or horizontal walls of the modular elements, which considerably reduces the manufacturing complexities since this is reduced to the production of a single simple geometric shape.

Figure 1 shows schematically a cellular wall portion 1 which defines a number of housings 2 capable of receiving, in the present case considered, funeral urns.

The lower part of the wall wall is formed by a base 3 which serves to support the various modular elements 4 of vertical separation. These vertical modular elements 4 are covered by the horizontal modular elements 5 which, themselves, serve to support the vertical modular elements 6 of the upper row.

In this way, it is possible to raise a cellular wall wall which has a regular geometric continuity and a high mechanical resistance by the interlocking of the various construction elements.

The materials used for the realization of modular building elements can be of different natures, in particular sawn granite gives good results.

Figures 2 and 3 show schematically exemplary embodiments of modular building elements according to the present invention which meet the required geometry requirements.

According to the main feature of the present invention, the modular construction element has lateral edge profiles such that, arranged coplanar side by side, the modular elements provide a housing in which can be fitted a modular element transverse to the preceding elements.

The geometric shape illustrated in FIG. 2 is preferred for its simplicity and the modular construction element 7 has notches 8 and projections 9 which make it possible to create a housing 10 as illustrated in FIG. 4 to allow nesting. of a modular element 11 transverse to the previous one.

As can be seen from FIG. 4, the horizontal floor of the cells is formed by juxtaposition of modular elements 7 arranged symmetrically with respect to the neighbors.

This symmetrical positioning makes it possible to create a certain number of clearances 10 which will allow a nesting of the vertical elements 11. It may be noted that in the case of FIG. 4, the positioning of the clearances 10 is alternated.

Thus, the positioning of the different elements is fixed and there is a mechanical interlocking which ensures the rigidity of the assembly.

Figure 3 shows schematically a second embodiment of a modular building element according to the present invention. The modular element 12 has projections 13 and notches 14, such as arranged coplanar side by side, as illustrated in the figure, the modular elements 12 make it possible to release a central housing 15 which can receive a modular element 16 transverse to the previous ones.

The geometric shapes presented in Figures 2 and 3 were adopted on a preferential basis because of their simplicity; however, other geometric shapes can perfectly be envisaged to meet the needs without departing from the scope of the present invention.

The opposite edges 8 and 9 in the case of the modular element 7 and the opposite edges 13 and 14 in the case of the modular element 12 have complementary profiles which allow their nesting; however, this property is not used in the plan but is used for the interlocking of the transverse element. Furthermore, the side edges 8, 9, 13 and 14 have a symmetrical profile with respect to the middle of each of these edges.

The modular construction elements 7 and 12 have symmetry with respect to a transverse sectional plane shown diagrammatically by the line mixed 17 in the case of FIG. 2 and 18 in the case of FIG. 3.

In terms of dimensioning, the projections of the profiles of the lateral edges 8, 9, 13 and 14 are equal to or greater than 1 half the thickness of the modular building element.

Respecting the previous dimensioning, the penetration h of the upper construction element 19 into the clearance 20 created at the level of the horizontal construction elements of thickness e allows sufficient space 21 to be left for the fitting of a modular element 22 located symmetrically to the element 19 with respect to the construction elements 20.

Thus, compliance with the different geometric properties set out above makes it possible to create interlockings located on either side of the horizontal elements to form vertical partitions.

The preferred geometric shape of the modular element 7 illustrated in FIG. 2 corresponds to two equal rectangles having an offset relative to the other, this offset having the value of half the thickness of said modular element.

The preferred geometric shape illustrated in FIG. 3 corresponds to the production of three rectangles having alternate offsets with respect to each other equal to half the thickness of said modular element.

In general, a form in alternating slots could have been envisaged to meet the needs of the present invention.

The obturation of the various cells created by the use of the modular element of the present invention can be obtained by the use of a bottom as illustrated in FIG. 7. This bottom 23 has a relief which allows its nesting in the alveoli to ensure closure.
