Definitions
- the invention relates to cooling bars with absorption cooling unit, according to the first part of claim 1.
- Such a coolable is known from DE-A-2931 350.
- Cooling bars are mainly used in hotel guest rooms, offices and private living rooms for cooling drinks and for making ice cubes. Most of the time, in addition to the chilled one, they also have an uncooled compartment, which is used to store glasses, non-chilled wine and spirits, snacks, etc.
- absorption cooling units without mechanically moving parts are generally used for cooling bars as cooling units.
- the most common type of cooler has arranged the uncooled compartment over the cooled compartment, has a lockable door, is paneled with wooden panels on the outside and is usually on castors.
- the previously known absorption cooling units with pressure-compensating auxiliary gas are designed in such a way that they hinder the cooling bar, which is in itself more expedient, from being hung on a wall at about eye level.
- the cooling units must be installed directly behind the insulation of the cooled compartment and take up 8 to 10 cm of room depth there.
- the cooling element of the cooling unit, the evaporator protrudes into the cooled compartment and takes up a minimum of space and depth.
- the minimum overall depth of the previously known coolable versions is approximately 38 cm, which makes them practically and aesthetically unsuitable for wall mounting.
- cooling bars can be built with significantly reduced room depths of 25 to 30 cm and yet sufficient usable depths.
- Such cooling bars can be hung on a wall at eye level in a practically and aesthetically satisfactory manner. This usually makes it easy for them to find space and their content is easy and convenient to view and operate.
- Fig. 1 shows schematically, in horizontal section, without a door, a cooler 1.
- the cooled compartment 2 is provided with thermal insulation 4, preferably made of rigid polyurethane foam.
- the inner wall 5 of the cooled compartment 2 can, as has also been customary hitherto, consist of plastic or, at least in part, of good heat-conducting material, preferably aluminum sheet. If the inner wall 5 of the cooled compartment 2 is made of plastic, then it is completely or at least partially covered with good heat-conducting material on the insulation side.
- the evaporator tube 11 of the absorption cooling unit 10 is in direct contact with the inner wall 5 of the cooled compartment 2 and inside the heat insulation 4. The remaining, not cold parts of the absorption cooling unit 10 are located behind the uncooled compartment 3. Because the structure and function of absorption cooling units is generally known are a detailed description is unnecessary at this point and not necessary for an understanding of the invention.
- the cooling is accomplished very effectively by the direct contact between the evaporator 11 and the good heat-conducting inner wall 5.
- the heat coming in through the thermal insulation which is known to take up at least three-quarters of the cooling capacity, does not get into the cooled space at all, but is intercepted beforehand when it hits the cooled, good heat-conducting inner wall 5.
- Fig. 2 shows a vertical section through the rear wall of the cooled compartment, a possibility of fastening the evaporator on the heat-conducting rear wall of the cooled compartment.
- the plastic inner wall 21 is covered with aluminum sheet 22, to which an aluminum profile 23 for receiving the evaporator tube 24 is fastened in a suitable manner.
- the heat insulation 25 is with provided with an opening 27, which makes it possible for the evaporator tube 24 to be installed from behind or removed from the rear during the assembly or disassembly of the cooling unit. Since the opening angle of the slightly resilient aluminum profile 23 is less than 180 degrees, it holds the evaporator tube 24 in place even without further fastening measures.
- the opening of the heat insulation 27 is closed with a closure part 26 made of insulating material.
- Fig. 3 shows another way of attaching the evaporator.
- the evaporator tube 32 is inserted laterally into the cavity formed by an aluminum profile 33 within the thermal insulation 34.
- the aluminum profile is fastened in a suitable manner to the well thermally conductive rear wall 31 of the cooled compartment. In this case, it is recommended, as usual, to perfect the contact between the aluminum parts 31, 33 and the evaporator tube 32 by means of a layer of heat transfer paste.
- Fig. 4 shows schematically a secondary cooling system for the improved transmission of cooling between the evaporator and the inner wall of the cooled compartment.
- the rear wall 41 of the cooled compartment is adjacent to the evaporator tube 42 as well as a tube coil 43 which was previously evacuated and then filled with liquid and then hermetically sealed.
- the upper part 44 of the coil 43 which is in contact with the evaporator tube 42, acts as a condenser.
- the steam liquefied therein passes through the downpipe section 45 into the lower part of the pipe coil 43 and then rises again from there to the condenser part 44 as a result of the formation of steam due to the incidence of heat as a steam or steam-liquid mixture.
- a secondary cooling system need not be limited to the rear wall of the cooled compartment.
- FIG. 5 shows in vertical section an arrangement which, despite the hidden evaporator 54 arranged in the insulation 55, enables the production of ice cubes.
- An aluminum profile 56 is suitably attached to the rear wall 51 of the cooled compartment, which is made of a good heat-conducting material, e.g. fixed by gluing, riveting, screwing or spot welding, into which a second aluminum profile 57 fits from above.
- the vertical section 58 of the profile 57 is pressed by the profile 56 against the evaporator tube 54 against the cooled wall 51 and is thereby effectively cooled.
- the upper, horizontal section of the profile 57 serves as a support for ice cube trays. With this arrangement, the profile 57 can be repeatedly inserted or removed by the user as needed.

Description
- Fig. 2 und Fig. 3 je einen Vertikalschnitt durch die Rückwand des gekühlten Faches;
- Fig. 4 die schematische Anordnung eines Sekundär-Kühlsystems:
- Fig. 5 eine Anordnung für Eiswürfelbereitung.
- Fig. 3 zeigt eine weitere Befestigungsmöglichkeit des Verdampfers.
