Description

The invention relates to a device for dividing a product stream from printed copies to a plurality of delivery stations, to which the printed copies can be fed via a ribbon line, in which the spaced-apart printed copies are fed to a first or second ribbon line using a rotating deflection segment, each in the region of the deflection segment have a belt deflection roller and that in each case a belt of the belt line feeding the printed copies is part of the first and second belt lines.

From European patent application 0 054 963 it is known to insert the printed specimens fed vertically via a ribbon line and at a distance from one another into output ribbon lines with the aid of two deflecting elements rotating against one another. A fixed tongue is used between the rotating deflecting segments, the tip of which is covered by one of the deflecting segments in order to avoid damage to the specimen, so that the incoming print copy is either pushed to the left or right of the fixed tongue and reaches the associated downstream ribbon line. The use of two rotating deflecting segments is structurally complex and voluminous and accordingly expensive.

A device of the type described at the outset is known from DE-A-26 09 136. With this, the products to be divided must be fed horizontally. They can also hit pulleys, which can lead to malfunctions.

The object of the invention is to enable a division of vertically incoming, spaced-apart printed copies with a rotating device and without the use of a separate tongue, so that each of these reaches one of two output ribbon lines.

Diese zeigt :This object is achieved by the application of the characterizing part of patent claim 1. Further developments result from the subclaims and from the description in connection with the drawing. This shows:

In a schematic representation, the device according to the invention for dividing a product stream from printed copies into two ribbon lines.

From DE-PS 1 786 264, it is already known to divide printed copies into two ribbon lines without the use of a fixed tongue, but two rotating, segment-like pushing bodies are also required here. In the device according to the invention, however, only a rotating element is required, which can preferably have two or more deflecting or pushing bodies. A separate derivation line is also not required.

As can be seen in the drawing, printed copies 1 and 2 are fed at a distance from each other approximately vertically via a ribbon cable 3, 4 to the dividing station shown. This essentially consists of a rotating body 5, to which at least one segment-like deflection element 6 is attached. A further deflection segment 7 is preferably used diametrically to the deflection segment 6. The deflection segments 6 and 7 rotate at a certain speed, which is geared to the speed of the incoming, preferably folded printed copies 1 and 2. The rotation of the deflection segments 6 and 7 results in a rotation circle 8. It is understood that several ribbon lines and rotating ones Bodies 5 are arranged side by side, according to the width of the printed copies.

According to the invention, deflecting rollers 11 and 12 are used within the rotation circle 8 for ribbon cables 9 and 10, and they lie one above the other. The lower belt 9 of the first delivery belt line 4, 9 is guided around the belt guide roller 11 and the belt 10 of the lower belt line 3, 10 is guided around the belt guide roller 12. This arrangement means that the strand of the ribbon line 9 to be returned runs in the opposite direction within the rotation circle 8, as do the print copies 2, which are guided in a straight line through a segment section of the rotation circle 8, while the print copies 1 have previously been deflected by one of the segments 6 or 7 will. In the advantageous use of two opposing deflection segments 6, 7, it is essential that the maximum length of the printed copies is not greater than their path, i. H. the tendon through which the rotation circle is 8.

Somit gelangen die Druckexemplare 1 in die Bandleitung 4, 9 und die Druckexemplare 2 jeweils in die Bandleitung 3, 10.Thus, the printed copies 1 reach the ribbon line 4, 9 and the printed copies 2 each reach the ribbon line 3, 10.

Since the belt 9 runs in the opposite direction from below in the deflection area within the rotation circle 8, a cover segment 13 is used according to the invention, which protrudes at least beyond the periphery of the belt deflection roller 11, so that the straight-running printed copies 2 do not come into contact with the belt 9 in the opposite direction. In the exemplary embodiment, the cover segment 13 is arranged approximately elongated and laterally on the roller carrier of the two rollers 12 and 11, which is advantageous.

The incoming print copies 1, 2 from the line 3, 4 are divided in front of the rotation circle 8 of the rotating segments 6, 7 in such a way that when a segment 6 or 7 is present in the area 14, just before the tip of the cover segment 13, in each case the odd-numbered printed copies 1 are deflected and diverted into the ribbon cable 4, 9. The width and position of the funnel-like inlet can be varied by means of the swiveling or displaceable belt roll 16. If, after the arrival of a printed copy, for example for all even-numbered printed copies 2, no deflection segment 6 or 7 is present in the inlet area 14, the printed copies, here the printed copies 2, run straight into the delivery belt line 3, 10. As already mentioned, the belt 10 is deflected by the belt roll 12 in the rotation circle 8, so that between the tapes 3 and 10, the printed copies 2 passed around a tape roll 17 to the display.

Due to the advantageous guidance of the belts 3 and 4 forming the inlet belt line 3, 4, only one additional belt 9 or 10 is used, which is deflected in an advantageous manner in the deflection region 14 by the belt rollers 11, 12.
