Description

`The invention relates to a barrel-shaped roof skylight arranged on a curb or the like. `

Such roof skylights are known in a variety of forms. Examples are shown in DE-OS 28 02 181 and DE-PS 32 28 611. In the first-mentioned document, a skylight is described, the translucent elements of which are made of prefabricated, curved hollow chamber panels, on the longitudinal edges of which a fastening flange is formed in the heated state by being compressed . The elements are then mounted on the upper edge of the on-site upstand by means of connecting and connecting profiles, the gap between elements which follow one another in the longitudinal direction of the barrel-shaped roof skylight being sealed by a rubber molded seal. However, due to thermal deformation, initially flat hollow chamber panels that have been brought into the required curvature, translucent elements have not proven themselves in practice, since they have internal stresses in the apex region, which reduce the strength and lead to stress cracks over time. In addition, in the roof skylight briefly described above, the interiors of the twin-wall sheet, which is usually designed as a double-wall sheet, are not ventilated and, therefore, condensate forms on the inside over time and cannot be removed.

In contrast, there are skylights in the DE-PS 32 28 611 described type from translucent panels delivered to the construction site in a flat state, which are clamped between lower and upper arch profiles by means of special clamping devices and thereby brought into their arched shape. This combination of numerous parts, which only takes place on the construction site, is not only time-consuming but also requires specially trained personnel.

A skylight of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1 is known from GB 2 145 456 A. Here, the arch profiles as well as the frame profiles are designed as identical U-profiles, the legs of which are provided with short webs pointing inwards, between which the translucent plate is received. This has the serious disadvantage that the arch profiles as well as the frame profiles each represent continuous cold bridges, as a result of which condensate inevitably forms. Furthermore, the translucent plate can be pulled out of the U-shaped arch profiles as a result of the cold flow of the thermoplastics usually used for this purpose, but above all due to wind suction and / or snow loads. Factory pre-assembly is still difficult because the translucent plate must be inserted into the (pre-bent) arch profiles. wherein the sealing tape serving as an additional seal acts additionally. In addition, additional corner connectors between the arch profiles and the adjacent (eaves-side) frame profile are required. The elements can also only be partially prefabricated at the factory, since an additional support profile is required to connect the frame profiles to the corresponding base profiles. whereby also no fixation of the element against the base profile can be achieved. A deficiency of the known construction is ultimately to be seen in the fact that each element can only form one field, which limits the width of an element (parallel to the eaves edge) and that the element cannot also be used as a fan blade.

The invention has for its object to provide a skylight of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1, the elements of which can be completely prefabricated, can be assembled on the construction site in the simplest way and ensure thermal separation of the interior and exterior.

This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.

This solution has the advantage that the translucent panels only rest on their arch profiles and are held down by the cover profiles acting as tension members, which on the one hand avoids a continuous border forming a cold bridge and on the other hand each element comprises any number of fields, i.e. almost any width in the eaves direction can be made. In addition, the arch profiles can be designed as closed hollow profiles with a correspondingly higher strength or lower material thickness than open U-profiles. The realization of multi-layer elements is also much easier than with translucent panels edged with U-profiles. Another material saving compared to the previously known roof skylight results from the use of support plates instead of a continuous support profile. The special design of these support plates and the base profiles also makes it possible. the same element can either be installed permanently or as a swiveling one Install fan blades.

The development according to claim 2 has the advantage of avoiding a cold bridge in the edge area.

By the embodiment of claim 3 the formation of condensate inside the hollow chamber "or twin-wall sheets as a result of communicating with the spanned by the roof skylight interior is avoided.

The measure of claim 4 ensures that such undesired convection cannot occur as a result of a continuous flow path between the interior of the hollow chamber plate and the gap between two successive elements.

Claim 5 is directed by a further development, the crackling noises due to different thermal expansion. the hollow chamber plate and the cover profile.

The claims 6 to 8 relate to different designs of the sealing of the transverse gap between successive, translucent elements in the longitudinal direction of the skylight.

Claim 9 describes a further development for a double-shell structure of the translucent elements.

In the drawing, the skylight according to the invention is shown in a selected embodiment, as well as modifications and further developments thereof.

According to Figures 1 to 4, the elongated, barrel-shaped roof skylight consists of individual translucent elements, which are mounted on a customer's upstand with the interposition of a base profile 10 on each long side.

The translucent elements are prefabricated at the factory. Each of these elements comprises an inner arch profile 1 (FIGS. 1 and 4), on which a hollow chamber plate 4 is placed with the interposition of a flat sliding band 1a and which is held down at its two longitudinal edges with this arch profile by means of a longitudinal frame profile 3, which only over Rivets 8 is connected to the lower surface of the hollow arch profile 1. The upper tension member in the transverse direction is a cover profile 2 (see FIG. 4), which rests on the top of the hollow chamber plate 4 via strip-shaped sliding and sealing tapes 2b or a lip seal 2a bridging the gap between adjacent elements and with its two ends over the corresponding frame profiles 3 is drawn and riveted to them. Further fastenings are not required for the cover profile 2, so that those through them in the hollow chamber plate-engaging or traversing these fastenings regularly occurring cold bridges are avoided.

Also to avoid cold bridges, the arch profiles 1 are offset at their respective ends (cf. FIGS. 2 and 3) and are encompassed by a thermal separating element 5 (cf. FIG. 2) which has approximately a U-profile and its upper leg is angled outward at right angles to the hollow chamber plate 4 at its free end. In the remaining gap between this thermal separating element 5 and the hollow chamber plate 4, a longitudinal sealing profile 3a is arranged, which is pushed onto a leg of the frame profile 3 reaching into this gap. Fig. 4 shows that this sealing profile 3a can not prevent a convection flow through the gap between adjoining translucent elements between the interior spanned by the skylight and the interior of the hollow panels 4. In order to avoid this convection flow leading to the formation of condensate, convection seals 6 (cf. also FIG. 2) are arranged in these areas. In the other areas, according to FIG. 3, ventilation slots 3b in the frame profile 3 at the foot of the additional leg carrying the sealing profile 3a provide the desired ventilation.

A further measure to prevent undesired convection currents is shown in FIG. 2. At the end of the lower leg of the thermal separation profile 5, a further leg extending up to the base profile 10 is formed via a predetermined bending point 5a. The predetermined bending point enables the automatic angle adjustment, which is necessary in view of the fact that the angle of inclination of the translucent element in its edge region depends on the span in the transverse direction.

A support plate 7 is fastened to the frame profile 3 via rivets 8 at the respective longitudinal edge end region, which ends in a tubular eye 7a according to FIG. 4. This tubular eye 7a forms the connecting element to the base profile 10, which is shaped at its free, outwardly pointing longitudinal edge into a tube 10a, which has the same inner diameter as the tubular eye 7a and is cut open in the region of the latter. A leg extension 3c of the frame profile 3 is arranged such that the latter is in alignment with the tubular eye 7a when it rests on the tube 10a. A connecting bolt 9 can be inserted via a further recess, designated 10b in FIG. 4. A self-locking lock washer 11 between the tubular eye 7a and the adjoining section of the tube 10a ensures that the connecting bolt 9 can no longer be removed without the use of force.

Fig. 5 shows a modification with improved, namely double sealing of the transverse gap between successive elements. For this purpose, the arch profile 1 of one of the two elements is equipped with a lip seal 13, the free end of which rests on the arch profile 1 of the adjoining element. In this case, the convection seal 6 is unnecessary.

Another embodiment is shown in FIG. 6. Here, on the underside of the lip seal 2a, a sealing strip 2a 'is formed, which rests on the edges of the adjacent arch profiles 1.

Auch hier bildet das an den gewölbten Querrändern der lichtdurchlässigen Elemente und in geeigneten Abständen zwischen diesen angeordnete Abdeckprofil 2 das notwendige Querzugglied.7 and 8 show a further development of the skylight, in which, in order to improve the heat and sound insulation, each element has, in addition to the hollow chamber plate 4, a translucent plate 16 resting thereon via a distance profile 17. For this purpose a frame profile 18 similar to the frame profile 3, but with an additional leg 18a, which overlaps the spacer profile 17 and the translucent plate 16. Here too, the cover profile 2 arranged on the curved transverse edges of the translucent elements and at suitable distances between them forms the necessary transverse tension member.
