Beim Transport von Blöcken durch die Erwärmungszone kommt es immer wieder vor, daß die stirnseitig aneinanderstoßenden Blöcke der Blockreihe aus verschiedenen Gründen "aneinanderkleben". Wird unter diesen Verhältnissen die Erwärmung durchgeführt, kann es zum stirnseitigen Verschweißen kommen. Das stirnseitige Aneinanderstoßen von Blöcken kommt deshalb vor, weil es nicht möglich ist, die von der Zuführvorrichtung, insbesondere einer Rutsche oder einem geneigten Rollgang auf die aus Fest- und Hubbalken bestehende Transportvorrichtung gegebenen Blöcke kontrolliert auf diese Transportvorrichtung zu übergeben. Durch das Nachschieben des folgenden Blockes gelangt der nicht mitgenommene Block aber weiter auf den Ablagetisch, so daß er beim nächsten Schritt erfaßt wird. In jedem Fall ist also gewährleistet, daß zwischen den einzelnen Blöcken mindestens der Abstand a entsteht.
