Wird unter diesen Verhältnissen die Erwärmung durchgeführt, kann es zum stirnseitigen Verschweißen kommen. Das stirnseitige Aneinanderstoßen von Blöcken kommt deshalb vor, weil es nicht möglich ist, die von der Zuführvorrichtung, insbesondere einer Rutsche oder einem geneigten Rollgang auf die aus Fest- und Hubbalken bestehende Transportvorrichtung gegebenen Blöcke kontrolliert auf diese Transportvorrichtung zu übergeben. Durch das Nachschieben des folgenden Blockes gelangt der nicht mitgenommene Block aber weiter auf den Ablagetisch, so daß er beim nächsten Schritt erfaßt wird. In jedem Fall ist also gewährleistet, daß zwischen den einzelnen Blöcken mindestens der Abstand a entsteht. Erwärmungsanlage für Blöcke, bestehend aus einer insbesondere induktiv betriebenen Wärmebehandlungszone, einer durch die Wärmebehandlungszone verlaufenden, aus Hub- und Festbalken bestehenden Transportvorrichtung, mit der die eine Reihe bildenden Blöcke schrittweise transportierbar sind, und einer der Transportvorrichtung vorgeordneten Zuführvorrichtung, insbesondere einer Rutsche oder einem Rollgang,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
zwischen der Transportvorrichtung (5,6) und der Zuführvorrichtung (1,2,3) ein im und entgegen der Transportrichtung sich bewegender Ablagetisch (4) für mindestens zwei in Transportrichtung aneinanderstoßende Blöcke (Ai+n-1,Ai+n-2) angeordnet ist, von dem die Blöcke (Ai+n-1) mit den Hubbalken (6) abhebbar sind, und daß die Antriebe (4",7,8) für den Rückhub des Ablagetisches (4) und den Förderschritt der Hubbalken (6) derart koordiniert sind, daß der Rückhub vor dem Förderschritt erfolgt.
