Definitions
- the invention relates to an electromagnetic relay with a flat, base plane defining base body, with a coil body attached to the base body, carrying a winding with an axis parallel to the base plane, with a rod-shaped armature, which is arranged approximately axially inside the coil body, with a End is mounted on an insulating armature carrier on a first coil flange and with its other end in the area of a second coil flange between two pole plates, and with two elongated contact springs, which are each fastened in the armature carrier, extend parallel to the armature on both sides of the coil former and form a switch contact with their free ends, each with at least one mating contact element anchored in the base body.
- Such a relay is known for example from DE-PS 31 32 239. It is an effective relay system, with additional actuating elements being dispensed with due to the direct fastening of the contact springs in the anchor carrier.
- a changeover contact is formed on both sides of the coil, the center contact spring fastened in the armature carrier being connected to a connecting element via a flexible power supply.
- This power supply requires a certain amount of additional production and work steps in manufacturing terms - the one shown in the exemplary embodiment
- Relay is designed by the special construction for switching relatively low currents
- the object of the invention is to develop a relay of the type mentioned in such a way that, while reducing the number of individual parts and production steps, with as few constructive changes as possible, the necessary insulating paths when switching large currents can also be ensured.
- this object is achieved in that the two contact springs have an electrically conductive connection with one another and together serve as a contact bridge without its own connection between two mating contact elements arranged on both sides of the coil. If two mating contact elements are arranged on both sides of the coil, this results in a bridge changeover contact, with a mating contact element on one side of the coil being connected to a mating contact element on the other side of the coil via the bridge contact spring in each switching position
- the advantage of the bridge contacts namely the doubling of the contact spacing with the same armature stroke, can be achieved in the relay system required here. In this way, higher currents can be switched.
- the flexible power supplies still required in the known relay according to DE-PS 31 32 239 are omitted. If any additional spring element is necessary, it can therefore be made of plastic.
- the number of individual parts can be reduced overall even more so that the two contact springs have an integrally formed connecting section embedded in the anchor carrier. So that instead of the two separately manufactured and possibly interconnected contact springs only a single part is punched out of Blect and embedded in the anchor carrier
- the base body has insulating walls arranged on both sides of the coil in the area between the coil winding and the contact elements. This increases the insulating distance between the switching contacts and the excitation winding, so that in turn higher currents can be switched. A further enlargement of the insulating distances can be achieved in each case by an insulating rib formed on the base body and arranged between the opposing contact elements.
- a protective cap placed over the coil former and the contact elements can also have insulating walls that engage between the coil winding and the respective contact elements.
- Provide th magnet system as is also known from DE-PS 31 32 239, so there are other ways to improve the switching function of the relay for high currents.
- Nete, flat permanent magnet which is arranged with at least four poles between two yokes connected to the pole plates on the one hand and a flux plate coupled to the bearing armature end on the other, expediently extends on both sides beyond the coil width and each has an additional free pole surface above the contact points.
- the magnetic poles additionally present for the blower are expediently polarized in exactly the same way as the adjacent poles lying above a yoke, so that the field lines of the free poles are directed downward and away from the yoke.
- the relay shown somewhat schematically in FIG. 1 and in FIGS. 2 and 3 has a flat base body 1, on which a coil 2 with coil body 3 and winding 4 is placed.
- a rod-shaped armature 5 is inserted into the coil body through an axial opening, which is fixed at one end 5a in an anchor carrier 6 made of insulating material.
- two center contact springs 7 and 8 are fastened in the armature carrier 6 on both sides of the armature and parallel to it, with their contacting ends 7a and 8a each being switchable between two mating contact elements 9 and 10 or 26 and 27 anchored in the base body.
- the armature carrier with molded bearing pins 11 is mounted in correspondingly designed bearing shells 12 of the coil flange 13 in the coil body 3.
- the free end of the armature 5b is switchable in the region of the second coil flange 14 between two pole plates 15 and 1 6, each forming in its extension two yokes 17 and 18, which are bent in parallel to the ground plane layer and each is a flat at one pole, four-pole Permanent magnets 19 are present.
- the opposite poles of the permanent magnet 19 are coupled to a flux plate 20, which via an angled extension 21 forms a flux return to the armature end 5a.
- the structure and function of the relay is already known from DE-PS 31 32 239 and described in more detail there. The relay is assembled as shown in Fig. 1 with the arrows.
- the two contact springs 7 and 8 are electrically connected via an integrally molded connecting element 22 and fastened in the armature carrier 6. They thus form a contact bridge which, depending on the switching position of the armature, connects the mating contact element 26 with the mating contact element 10 in one case or the mating contact element 9 with the mating contact element 27 in the other case. A separate power supply for this contact bridge 7, 8 and 22 is therefore not necessary.
- additional insulating partition walls 23 are formed in the base body 1, which extend on both sides of the coil winding up to the inside of an insulating cap 24. Additional partitions 25 are also formed in the cap itself, which lie next to the partitions 23 when the cap is put on and form a labyrinth with them. Furthermore, an insulating rib 28 is provided in the base body between the two mating contact elements 9 and 10 or 26 and 27, which serves as an additional extension of the creepage distance.
- the relay is otherwise constructed as previously described. Only the permanent magnet 29 is widened in this case towards both sides so that additional pole faces 30 and 3 1 adjacent to the required for the switching function pole faces 32 and 33 are present. In order to deflect a corresponding deflection of the flow from these additional pole faces 30 and 3 1 downward and to the switching paths between the respective mating contact elements 9 and 10 or 26 and 27, the additional pole faces 30 and 31 are each of the same name as those lying next to them Pole surfaces 32 and 33 polarized. To increase the flux, the flux plate 35 lying above the permanent magnet is also widened, so that it covers the entire upper side of the permanent magnet 29. In this case, the partitions 23 of the base body can only extend as far as the permanent magnet 29; the partitions 25 shown in Fig. 1 can of course not be provided on the cap 36.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1 ein erfindungsgemäß gestaltetes Relais in Explosionsdarstellung,
- Fig. 4 zeigt eine zusätzliche Weiterbildung.
