Definitions

  • the invention relates to a projectile weaving machine with a return transport device for the projectiles arranged between the catching mechanism and the weft mechanism.
  • Such a projectile weaving machine is e.g. B. in DE-A-2 712 431 (T.470).
  • projectile weaving machines of this type in contrast to other weaving machines in which the weft is introduced by means of rapier rods, rapier belts, compressed air or water nozzles, it is not absolutely necessary to cut off the weft ends on the catch side, since the position of the weft end is theoretically always defined.
  • the other weaving machines mentioned have system weft lengths that vary by several centimeters due to the system.
  • the cut ends (size approx. 50 - 100 mm) are z. B. as a cut edge, d. H. integrated with leno threads, or removed individually by suction. This gives you a neatly cut product edge.
  • the ends of the weft can also be inserted into the following compartment by means of lasts.
  • the object of the invention is to improve the projectile weaving machine mentioned at the outset in such a way that deviations with respect to the weft ends at the front edge of the goods are avoided with particularly little loss of material.
  • the measure is that a cutter for cutting off the catch-side weft end is assigned to the catch before it is released from the projectile.
  • the weft end cut off by the cutting device can be left in the unopened projectile, transported together with the projectile through the return transport device to the weft and removed when the projectile is opened there. This means that there is no need for a projectile opener on the catch side.
  • the actuation of the cutting device can only be provided after the projectile has been pushed back into its ejection position. This results in a substantial saving in material in that the weft end is cut off only after it has reached its minimum length.
  • a suction and / or blowing device can be provided to remove the cut weft end. This results in a particularly simple and inexpensive removal of the cut weft ends.
  • the suction and / or blowing device can consist of a suction tube assigned to the projectile and a blowing nozzle arranged transversely thereto, which is swept through the projectile clip opening when the projectile clip is open. This allows particularly economical air flow to be achieved.
  • blowing nozzle can have a branch which opens into the suction pipe. In this way, an increase in the suction effect can be achieved.
  • a projectile 10 (FIG. 1) is brought into the weft 12 by a pivotable projectile lifter 14 in the weft position 16, whereby the weft thread 20 is inserted into the open projectile clamp, not shown, by a mechanical or air nozzle, and the projectile 10 by the Compartment 28 formed from upper warp threads 24 and lower warp threads 26 is accelerated to the catch mechanism 30, where it is braked in the braking device 32 and is pushed into the ejection position 36 by the return slide 34.
  • the inserted weft thread 10 is cut by the cutting device 38 on the weft side and by the cutting device 40 on the catch side cut off, after which the registered weft thread is struck by the reed, not shown.
  • the projectile 10 lying in the ejection position 36 is opened by the projectile opener 42 and the cut thread end 44 is released and removed by the suction and / or blowing device 46.
  • the projectile 10 is subsequently transported back to the firing unit 12 by the return transport device 48, which consists of a return transport chain 54 with carriers 56 mounted on chain wheels 50, 52, after which the described firing process is repeated.
  • a cam control is used in a known manner to control the catch-side cutting device 40, projectile return slide 34 and projectile opener 42. This ensures that the catch-side cutting device 40 and projectile opener 42 are actuated only after the push-back 34 has brought the projectile into the ejection position 36.
  • FIG. 2 corresponds to that described, with the difference that the projectile opener 42 on the catch side is omitted, that the cut thread end 44 is left in the projectile 10 during the return transport, and that the suction and blowing device 46 is arranged in the weft 12.
  • the weft-side projectile opener 43 is therefore sufficient to remove the thread ends.
  • the projectile 10 with the opened clamp 57 is located in the projectile lifter 14, which together with the projectile opener 43 is pivotably mounted on the axis 62.
  • a suction pipe 64 and a blowing nozzle 66 are assigned to the projectile 10.
  • the blowing nozzle 66 is arranged according to FIG. 4 so that it is swept through the projectile clamp opening 68 when the projectile 10 is swung up. This allows particularly economical air flow to be achieved.
  • the blow pipe has nozzle openings 70 and is connected to a compressor 71.
  • the blowing nozzle 72 has a branch 74 which opens into the suction pipe 64. In this way, an increase in the suction effect can be achieved.
