Definitions

  • the invention relates to a roofing membrane, consisting of a film and a nonwoven fabric laminated onto one side of the film.
  • the roofing membrane according to DE-U-7 905 531 consists of an elastic film made of a mixture of ethylene copolymer and bitumen, in which a nonwoven fabric, in particular made of glass fibers, is laminated on one side.
  • a nonwoven fabric in particular made of glass fibers
  • the nonwoven is reinforced with a coarse-mesh fabric or knitted fabric.
  • the film is relatively thick and can still be easily pierced due to its composition.
  • the pull-out strength at the tack or nail areas is poor.
  • the roofing membrane is expensive. It is particularly disadvantageous that there is no vapor permeability. The result is condensation and frost.
  • the roofing membrane according to DE-A-2 908 461 consists of a plastic film which is laminated with a layer of moisture-absorbing material, preferably cellulose.
  • the film is reinforced so that it has sufficient tear resistance. There is also no water vapor permeability, rather the pulp should absorb the condensing water vapor. However, pulp rots in the course of the tent.
  • a perforated plastic film is used as the roofing membrane to allow the roof to breathe.
  • roofing underlays should have a high tear resistance, that the punch pressure force, which is decisive for the tread resistance, should be high, that the sheets should be easily nailable and tackable without the risk of tearing that they should be permeable to water vapor, but impermeable to water, there is also the condition that there is no decomposition, that the webs are to be soundproof and heat-insulating and, ultimately, that what their real task is to ensure reliable weather protection.
  • the known roofing membranes only partially meet these requirements.
  • the roofing membrane is relatively inexpensive due to the use of a polyethylene film.
  • the needling of this polyethylene film makes it permeable to water vapor, but this needling does not allow water to pass through.
  • the direction of penetration of the needling preferably runs from the laminated to the non-laminated side of the film.
  • the laminated fleece made of polyester and / or polyamide gives the film a very high tear resistance. Even if the film has a tear, this tear does not increase when it is loaded transversely to the course of the crack, which is prevented by the laminated nonwoven fabric. Even if moisture is formed, the moisture that forms is absorbed by the fleece and gradually released again.
  • the roofing membrane can be attached with standard nails or staples without the risk of tearing.
  • the nonwoven fabric is laminated onto the previously needled film using a dispersion adhesive, but preferably using a hot melt adhesive.
  • the roofing membrane has a total thickness of 2 mm.
  • the thickness of the fiber fleece consisting of polyester staple fibers is 1.8 mm.
  • the film made of polyethylene is 0.06 mm thick.
  • Laminating is carried out using a dispersion adhesive.
  • the basis weight of the roofing membrane is 200 g / m 2 , determined according to DIN 53854. Of this, about 150 g / m 2 is for the fleece, the rest for glue and film.
  • the needle points on the films needled before lamination are 15 mm apart. The needle size is approximately 0.6 mm. The direction of penetration of the needling runs from the laminated to the non-laminated side.
  • Such a roofing membrane has a tensile strength of 420N / 5 cm in every direction, determined according to DIN 53857 sheet 2.
  • the punch pressure force according to DIN 54307 is 1150N.
  • the thermal conductivity according to DIN 52613 was found to be 0.045 w / mk.
  • the roofing membrane is classified in class B2 according to its fire behavior according to DIN 4102. It is permanently heat-resistant up to 80 ° C and has an embrittlement temperature of below -60 ° C.
  • roofing membranes of this type are 1.1 m wide and 50 m long produced.
  • the color of the film and fleece can be any. UV-resistant finishing and also flame-retarding finishing is possible without difficulty.
  • the nonwoven is laminated onto the film preferably by means of a hot melt adhesive.
  • a hot melt adhesive One based on an acrylic acid ester copolymer, which is sprayed onto the film, has proven to be particularly suitable.
  • This hot melt adhesive has very good aging and heat stability. It can be processed at temperatures between 140 to 180 ° C.
