Abstract

A tile system includes a running tile having a flat bottom and parallel longitudinal edges, and a covering tile designed to rest on a pair of running tiles. The running tile has two notches formed in its parallel longitudinal edges, and the covering tile has a vertical partition that is adapted to engage the notches of adjacent running tiles to allow the lateral adjustment of the relative positions of the running tile and covering tiles.

Description

The invention relates to the field of building roofs and more particularly roofing with mechanical tiles.

One of the difficulties of laying tiles is the need to make a very precise layout, that is to say to determine with as much accuracy as possible the number of tiles to be used for a given coverage and more the value of the relative spacing of the tiles in the direction of the slope, as well as transversely.

This operation is very important. Indeed, if during installation we realize that the layout was poorly made, it is impossible, with the tiles currently known (see for example FR-A-1 280 087), to catch the error by playing on the spacing of the remaining tiles. You must remove the tiles already installed and start the operation over entirely.

Very large sums have been invested, both in France and abroad, to try to resolve this difficulty, but so far without success.

The present invention provides a system of tiles which allows an adjustment during installation of the spacing of the tiles between them while retaining a good seal and which, therefore, allows a catching up error to be made up.

A cet effet, l'invention prévoit l'utilisation d'un système de tuiles à deux composants selon la revendication 1.To this end, the invention provides for the use of a two-component tile system according to claim 1.

Thus, by sliding the two current tiles covered laterally by the roof tile, it is possible to obtain a variation in spacing between the point where the raised edges of two current tiles are in abutment with one another and the point where they abut against the opposite side faces of the roof tile with which they cooperate.

According to an advantageous alternative embodiment, the lateral faces of the roof tile are notched at the end which carries the partition to catch up with the superposition of the current tiles in the direction of the slope.

The height of the partition corresponds to that of the notches and the depth of the notches corresponds to the overlap of the tiles.

The current tiles also have, on the underside of their bottom, a heel intended to allow their blocking on the battens of the roof.

The adjustment of the overlap of the tiles in the direction of the slope is therefore carried out by determining the spacing of the battens.

Near its lower opening, the roof tile is provided in known manner with an aerodynamic lock, in the form of two or more ribs.

La description sera faite en référence au dessin annexé, dans lequel:Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which follows of an embodiment given without implied limitation. The description will be made with reference to the attached drawing, in which:

La figure 1 est une vue en perspective de dessus d'une tuile de courant conforme à l'invention;Figure 1 is a perspective view from above of a current tile according to the invention;

La figure 2 est une vue en perspective de dessous de la tuile de la figure 1;Figure 2 is a perspective view from below of the tile of Figure 1;

La fiugre 3 est une vue en perspective de dessus d'une tuile de couverture conforme à l'invention;The fugre 3 is a perspective view from above of a roof tile according to the invention;

La figure 4 est une vue en perspective de dessous de la tuile de la figure 3;Figure 4 is a perspective view from below of the tile of Figure 3;

Figure 5 is a perspective view of a roof fragment made with the tiles of the previous figures.

The current tile 1, shown in Figures 1 and 2 has a flat rectangular bottom 2, provided at its longitudinal sides with oblique edges 3, diverging outward and upward.

In the example shown, the oblique edges 3 have a convex curvature. This preferred shape facilitates the demolding of the tiles during manufacture.

Pratiquement au tiers de sa longueur à partir du bas, chaque bord 3 comporte une encoche 4 qui s'étend presque jusqu'au fond 2.Almost a third of its length from the bottom, each edge 3 has a notch 4 which extends almost to the bottom 2.

On its underside, the current tile 1 further comprises, near its upper end, a heel 5, intended to ensure the blocking of the tile on the battens.

At its lower end, this lower face is provided with two ribs 6 forming an aerodynamic lock.

The cover tile 7, shown in Figures 3 and 4, is of semi-circular outer shape. Near its upper end, its sides have two cutouts 8, intended to catch up with the step constituted by two superimposed current tiles.

In the plane of its upper end, the roof tile has a vertical partition 9, intended to be housed in the notches 4 of a current tile.

Near the lower edge, on its lower face, the cover tile 7 also has two ribs 10 forming an aerodynamic lock.

  • - tuiles de courant: H = 420 mm, I = 185`mm,
  • - tuiles de couverture: H = 420 mm, 1 = 250 mm.
The respective dimensions of the two elements are substantially as follows:
  • - current tiles: H = 420 mm, I = 185`mm,
  • - roof tiles: H = 420 mm, 1 = 250 mm.

The notches 4 of the current tile 1 are placed approximately 120 mm from the lower edge of the tile.

Ainsi, certaines tuiles 1 pourront avoir leurs encoches 4 situées à 90 mm du bord inférieure (faible recouvrement, forte pente), d'autres à 150 mm (fort recouvrement, faible pente).All these dimensions are given by way of illustration, they may vary. In particular, the location of the notches 4 of the current tile 1 can be located at any desired location along the edges 3, according to the covering chosen according to the slope of the roof. Thus, certain tiles 1 may have their notches 4 located 90 mm from the lower edge (low overlap, steep slope), others at 150 mm (high overlap, slight slope).

Finally, the general shape of the tiles, both roofing and current, can be modified depending on the type of roof to be made.

According to an advantageous alternative embodiment not shown, the current tile can comprise a succession of notches 4 corresponding to the various most commonly used overlaps.
