Definitions
- the invention relates to a cleaning bucket attachment for removing excess moisture from a wash-up mop, comprising a downwardly tapering hollow sieve with three holding claws for fastening it over the mouth of a cleaning bucket, in which the holding claws on opposite sides and in a direction extending essentially perpendicularly thereto are attached to the hollow sieve and have circumferentially extending, downwardly open slots for attachment to the upper end of the cleaning bucket.
- a cleaning bucket attachment of the type specified above is on the market. It can only be used in conjunction with a specially adapted cleaning bucket, which is extremely difficult both in sales and in terms of practical use. In addition, such a cleaning bucket attachment cannot be attached to the upper end edge of a cleaning bucket with desirable certainty, and wear can lead to further impairment. The purpose of its application, namely the removal of excess moisture from a wash-up mop, is therefore not achieved.
- the wash-up mop is used for large-scale wet cleaning of floor coverings and is used, for example, in the USA and southern countries. It generally consists of a large number of absorbent strips which are combined like a tassel and fixed at the end of a broomstick. The strips as a whole have a considerable surface. As a result, they are able to bind considerable amounts of soil dirt when moistened, thus allowing very quick operation. A prerequisite for achieving this effect, however, is that the strips are rinsed thoroughly after each partial cleaning process by immersing them in water and then freed from excess moisture.
- the invention has for its object to show a cleaning bucket attachment for the intended use, which can be quickly and securely set with its hollow sieve and without the use of tools over the mouth of conventional cleaning buckets of different sizes and which can be removed just as easily and easily after use .
- the support tab is preferably arranged on the inside, the spring tongue, however, on the outside.
- the claws of the proposed cleaning bucket attachment thus clasp the upper edge of the cleaning bucket under an elastic pretension which is effective in the radial direction.
- a secure fixing of the cleaning bucket attachment on the upper end edge of the cleaning bucket is thereby always guaranteed, the special design of the upper end edge and / or the diameter of the cleaning bucket used being of no importance with regard to the result of the determination. Wear can also affect the definition and function.
- the support tabs and / or the spring tongues can have at least one projection at their lower end, which projects into the free space of the slot. This results in an improved clasping of the edge of the usual cleaning buckets, which is usually rolled outwards at the upper end edge, and thus an improved fixing of the cleaning bucket attachment.
- the slots of the three holding claws can be increasingly narrowed downward in the area of the projections, expediently in a uniformly increasing manner.
- the individual projections are delimited on the upper side by inclined planes which project in a wedge shape into the respective slot. If the spring tabs are provided with appropriately designed projections, then it has proven to be expedient to choose their extension in the vertical direction in such a way that the lower end edge of the edge-side curl of the usual cleaning buckets is covered on both sides. A corresponding definition does not cause any noteworthy difficulties insofar as the usual tolerance measure is only approx. 10 mm.
- the definition between the above-described inclined plane and the lower end edge of the top-side roll-over of the bucket, which is also described, can be further improved if the inclined plane is provided with a circumferential groove on the side facing the edge.
- the individual grooves are expediently delimited by flank surfaces extending horizontally and in the vertical direction, so that depending on the type and size of the cleaning bucket used, one of the grooves of each projection always engages around the above-described edge in a vertical direction from below and from the outside. This further improves the positive and non-positive connection between the cleaning bucket attachment and the upper edge of the cleaning bucket.
- the support tab and the spring tongue each have at least one projection, and that the slot is narrowed substantially symmetrically by the two projections.
- a further relief with regard to the attachment of the cleaning bucket attachment to the cleaning bucket is obtained if the support tabs and / or the spring tongues are extended downward beyond the projections and are designed to wedge back in particular in this area.
- the slot is thus wedge-shaped in the area of the extension, which makes it very easy to insert the top edge of the bucket into the slot.
- the maximum width of the slot in this area is larger than the maximum Width of the upper edge of the usual cleaning bucket.
- the attachment of the attachment only requires a vertical pressing of the cleaning bucket attachment on the upper edge.
- the wedge-shaped extension of the spring clip is limited at the lower end by a grip strip.
- a button-like design is expedient, which allows the spring tabs of the mutually opposite holding claws to be released simultaneously with both hands, so that the cleaning bucket attachment can then be tilted in the rearward direction over the third holding claws. The removal of the cleaning bucket attachment is also very easy.
- the support tab in addition to the spring tab, is designed to be resilient in the direction of the slot. This improves the adaptability to differently designed end edges of the usual cleaning buckets and at the same time achieves a particularly firm fit.
- the support tabs and / or the spring tongues expediently have only a very small width in the circumferential direction.
- the value should not exceed the radial extent of the upper edge of the usual cleaning bucket as far as possible in order to ensure that a firm fit is always achieved regardless of the size of the cleaning bucket.
- the cleaning bucket attachment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is formed by a one-piece molded part made of PVC, which can be securely attached to the upper edge of cleaning buckets of all usual dimensions by simply plugging them on.
- the cleaning bucket attachment comprises three holding claws 4, 5, 6, which on the underside have a slot which extends in the circumferential direction of the cleaning bucket and overlaps the edge.
- a flat holding surface lies flat on the edge.
- the edge of the cleaning bucket is enclosed on the outside by the spring tongue 2, on the inside by the support tab 1.
- Both are resilient in the radial direction and have mutually opposite projections which narrow the slot at a narrow point in a wedge-like manner.
- the cleaning bucket attachment can thus easily be pushed onto the upper edge of the cleaning bucket, which results in an automatic adjustment and an elastic widening of the slots of the three holding claws.
- the projections arranged on the spring tongues 2 finally snap under the end edge of the roll-over bordering the cleaning bucket on the outside. They are formed by inclined planes that have a circumferential groove.
- the spring tongues 2 are provided with grip strips 7 for this purpose. These can be easily operated with a finger, similar to a button.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cleaning bucket attachment for removing excess moisture from a wash-up mop, comprising a downwardly tapering hollow sieve with three holding claws for fastening it over the mouth of a cleaning bucket, in which the holding claws on opposite sides and in a direction extending essentially perpendicularly thereto are attached to the hollow sieve and have circumferentially extending, downwardly open slots for attachment to the upper end of the cleaning bucket. A cleaning bucket attachment of the type specified above is on the market.
The wash-up mop is used for large-scale wet cleaning of floor coverings and is used, for example, in the USA and southern countries. To achieve this purpose, it is customary to insert the tassel-like strips in their entirety after immersing them in the water in the cleaning bucket into the hollow sieve arranged above the water level and tapering downwards and expressing them by turning and pressing the broomstick. The excess water runs back through the openings of the hollow sieve into the cleaning bucket. The wash-up mop can then be used again. The process as such, however, sets a certain definition of the cleaning bucket attachment in advance. In this regard, however, the previously known designs leave much to be desired.
The invention has for its object to show a cleaning bucket attachment for the intended use, which can be quickly and securely set with its hollow sieve and without the use of tools over the mouth of conventional cleaning buckets of different sizes and which can be removed just as easily and easily after use .
This object is achieved in a cleaning bucket attachment of the type mentioned in that the slots of the holding claws are delimited on one side by a support tab and on the other side by a spring tongue. The support tab is preferably arranged on the inside, the spring tongue, however, on the outside. The claws of the proposed cleaning bucket attachment thus clasp the upper edge of the cleaning bucket under an elastic pretension which is effective in the radial direction. A secure fixing of the cleaning bucket attachment on the upper end edge of the cleaning bucket is thereby always guaranteed, the special design of the upper end edge and / or the diameter of the cleaning bucket used being of no importance with regard to the result of the determination. Wear can also affect the definition and function.
The support tabs and / or the spring tongues can have at least one projection at their lower end, which projects into the free space of the slot. This results in an improved clasping of the edge of the usual cleaning buckets, which is usually rolled outwards at the upper end edge, and thus an improved fixing of the cleaning bucket attachment.
The slots of the three holding claws can be increasingly narrowed downward in the area of the projections, expediently in a uniformly increasing manner. In such a configuration, the individual projections are delimited on the upper side by inclined planes which project in a wedge shape into the respective slot. 10 mm.
Sie gestatten eine geschmacklich ansprechende Ausführung des gesamten Putzeimeraufsatzes aus nur einem Stück unter Verwendung thermoplastischer Werkstoffe, beispielsweise unter Verwendung von PVC oder PP.Mutual pressing of the above-described inclined plane of the spring tongue and the lower end edge of the wrap around the edge of the cleaning bucket results in a secure fixing of the cleaning bucket attachment, in particular when the inclined plane includes a relatively flat angle with the horizontal. With regard to the definition in this regard, on the other hand, it must be taken into account that decreasing angles require an increasing spreading of the spring tongue during the attachment process. This can result in a high specific material load. It can lead to constructions that do not appear to be appealing if, for example, thermoplastic materials are used for the manufacture of the cleaning bucket attachment. Versions in which the inclined plane forms an angle of 30 to 60 ° with the horizontal are therefore preferred. They allow a tasteful execution of the entire cleaning bucket attachment from only one piece using thermoplastic materials, for example using PVC or PP.
The definition between the above-described inclined plane and the lower end edge of the top-side roll-over of the bucket, which is also described, can be further improved if the inclined plane is provided with a circumferential groove on the side facing the edge. The individual grooves are expediently delimited by flank surfaces extending horizontally and in the vertical direction, so that depending on the type and size of the cleaning bucket used, one of the grooves of each projection always engages around the above-described edge in a vertical direction from below and from the outside. This further improves the positive and non-positive connection between the cleaning bucket attachment and the upper edge of the cleaning bucket.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, it is provided that the support tab and the spring tongue each have at least one projection, and that the slot is narrowed substantially symmetrically by the two projections. When the cleaning bucket attachment is pressed onto the upper edge of the cleaning bucket, no tilting moments can be effective. Attachment and removal of the cleaning bucket attachment are made very easy.
A further relief with regard to the attachment of the cleaning bucket attachment to the cleaning bucket is obtained if the support tabs and / or the spring tongues are extended downward beyond the projections and are designed to wedge back in particular in this area. The slot is thus wedge-shaped in the area of the extension, which makes it very easy to insert the top edge of the bucket into the slot. The maximum width of the slot in this area is larger than the maximum Width of the upper edge of the usual cleaning bucket. The attachment of the attachment only requires a vertical pressing of the cleaning bucket attachment on the upper edge.
In order to make it easier to remove the cleaning bucket attachment, it has proven to be expedient if the wedge-shaped extension of the spring clip is limited at the lower end by a grip strip. A button-like design is expedient, which allows the spring tabs of the mutually opposite holding claws to be released simultaneously with both hands, so that the cleaning bucket attachment can then be tilted in the rearward direction over the third holding claws. The removal of the cleaning bucket attachment is also very easy.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, it is provided that in addition to the spring tab, the support tab is designed to be resilient in the direction of the slot. This improves the adaptability to differently designed end edges of the usual cleaning buckets and at the same time achieves a particularly firm fit.
The support tabs and / or the spring tongues expediently have only a very small width in the circumferential direction. The value should not exceed the radial extent of the upper edge of the usual cleaning bucket as far as possible in order to ensure that a firm fit is always achieved regardless of the size of the cleaning bucket.
- Figure 1 is a partially cut cleaning bucket with a cleaning bucket attachment attached to the upper edge.
- Figure 2 shows the cleaning bucket attachment attached to the upper edge of a cleaning bucket in plan view.
The cleaning bucket attachment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is formed by a one-piece molded part made of PVC, which can be securely attached to the upper edge of cleaning buckets of all usual dimensions by simply plugging them on. For this purpose, the cleaning bucket attachment comprises three
In the radial direction, the edge of the cleaning bucket is enclosed on the outside by the
