Definitions
- a piston of the generic type is known from DE-AS 12 69 414 and DE-OS 28 21 176.
- the radially inclined support in the inner ring support between the piston crown and lower piston part serves to protect the screws from bending stress when the piston is warm from operation in the known version.
- the base is already braced against the lower piston part to such an extent that the gap disappears or becomes smaller.
- the preload is relieved only in the radially inner area of the ring support and not to an inclined position of the piston crown contact area, which would cause the undesirable bending stress of the screws.
- the piston consists of an upper part 1 and a lower part 2, which are connected by screws 3.
- the illustration of the piston shows this with assembled but not yet tightened screws 3.
- these are slightly curved in the lower part 2 in the circumferential direction of the ring surface with the zenith of the curvature 6 exactly in one area in the Middle of two adjacent screws 3.
- the screw bore 7 itself is additionally arranged in a depression 5 in the annular surface 4 of the lower part 2.
- the upper and lower parts 1, 2 are clamped to one another via the screws in such a way that the annular surfaces 4 of the two parts 1, 2 lie on one another without gaps over the entire circumference.
- the material is pre-stressed in the curved sections of the ring surfaces, which guarantees a safe system for all operating conditions.

Description
The invention relates to a multi-part plunger for internal combustion engines according to the preamble of claim 1.
Ein Kolben der gattungsgemäßen Art ist aus DE-AS 12 69 414 und DE-OS 28 21 176 bekannt.A piston of the generic type is known from DE-AS 12 69 414 and DE-OS 28 21 176.
The radially inclined support in the inner ring support between the piston crown and lower piston part serves to protect the screws from bending stress when the piston is warm from operation in the known version. For this purpose alone, in the cold state of the piston, the base is already braced against the lower piston part to such an extent that the gap disappears or becomes smaller. When the piston crown bulges during engine operating heat, the preload is relieved only in the radially inner area of the ring support and not to an inclined position of the piston crown contact area, which would cause the undesirable bending stress of the screws.
Despite the preload in the radially inner area of the ring support between the piston crown and piston lower part, it can in cases where the piston upper and lower parts are connected with relatively few screws, such as. B. with four screws with a piston diameter above 200 mm, occur in practice that the annular surfaces stand out slightly from each other under the thermal and mechanical stresses prevailing in engine operation. This then leads to increased pressures in the areas which are only in contact with one another, with the result that the materially permissible maximum loads are exceeded there. Furthermore, cavitation can occur in the areas in which the ring surfaces stand out slightly from one another.
It is therefore an object of the invention to develop a generic piston in such a way that, in all operating states of the internal combustion engine, a secure bearing of the piston upper and lower piston parts braced against one another is ensured.
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
Zweckmäßige Ausgestaltungen sind in den Unteransprüchen enthalten.Appropriate configurations are contained in the subclaims.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt. Diese zeigt einen mehrteiligen Kolben im Schnitt. An embodiment is shown in the drawing. This shows a multi-part piston in section.
The piston consists of an upper part 1 and a
In the fully assembled piston, the upper and
