Diese Anordnung hat den Vorteil, daß die für die Temperaturverteilung im Walzenmantel verantwortliche Relativgeschwindigkeit des Wärmeträgermediums gegenüber dem Walzenmantel unabhängig von der Zu- und Abführung des Wärmeträgermediums zum bzw. vom Walzeninneren allein durch entsprechende Bemessung der Umwälzeinrichtungen eingestellt werden kann. Die Kanäle in den Walzenlagern können entsprechend klein ausgebildet werden. Jedoch hat diese Anordnung den Nachteil, daß sie vergleichsweise aufwendig ist, insbesondere wenn unterschiedliche Strömungsgeschwindigkeiten innerhalb des Wal-zenhohlraums vorherbestimmbar sein sollen. - Ferner ist eine Kühl- oder Heizwalze bekannt (US-A 34 01 745), in der ein von außen mittels eines Motors antreibbares Axialpumpenrad vorgesehen ist, was den Nachteil eines verhältnismäßig hohen Aufwands für die Antriebs- und Lagerorgane mit sich bringt.In a known device of this type (DE-PS 26 50 858) the guide jacket is arranged in a fixed manner and protrudes from it a likewise fixed, axially directed partition to the roller jacket.
