An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is described below with reference to the drawings. It is:
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view of the weft processing device according to the invention.
  • Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a cutting device
  • 3 and 4 parts of the bullet device;
  • 5a, 5b show a schematic representation of the shot preparation process.

Nach Fig. 1 sind die Hauptbestandteile der Schussfadenaufbereitungsvorrichtung eine Schussfadenmessvorrichtung 1, eine Schneidvorrichtung 2 und eine Schussfadeneintragsvorrichtung 3.1, the main components of the weft processing device are a weft measuring device 1, a cutting device 2 and a weft insertion device 3.

The measuring device comprises four measuring rollers 5, 6, 7 and 8, each of which is freely rotating on an axis 9 and driven by a continuously rotating friction disk 10.

The cutting device 2 contains four scissors 15, 16, 17 and 18, which are combined to form a block 19. As can be seen from Figure 2, each pair of scissors, e.g. the scissors 15, a blowpipe 20 to convey a weft. Compressed air is continuously fed to the four blowpipes via a common channel 21. The compressed air flows through a channel 22, which extends obliquely to the blowpipe 20, and a longitudinal slot 23 in the wall of the blowpipe. The weft thread is sucked in by the blown air and fed to a weaving rotor 24, as will be explained below.

The blow pipe 20 is provided at its mouth with a cutting edge 25 which interacts with a fixed cutting piece 26. The cutting piece 26 has a lateral recess 27 for each blowing tube in order to allow a weft thread to emerge. The blow tube is provided at its other end 20b with a collar 28, one side 28a of which can slide up and down in a guide track 29 of a guide frame 30.

The cutting movement or the forward movement of each blowpipe is accomplished by a cutting lever 35. The cutting lever is fastened on an axis 36 which extends into a gear box 37 of the weaving machine and is guided there via a lever and a follower roller on a control disk (not shown). The end of the cutting lever 35 is provided with two pins 38 and 39, which are located at the level of an entrance 40 to the weft insertion device 3. The pins thus encompass the collar of the blowpipe located in front of this entrance 40.

The cutting device 2 is carried by a rod 45, which is moved up and down by a lever 46. The lever. 46 is fastened on a shaft which extends into the gearbox 37 and is guided there via a lever and a follower roller on a control disk (not shown). The control curve of the control disk has a course such that the rod 45 moves the cutting device downward in such a way that the scissors 15, 16, 17 and 18 are placed in this row in front of the entrance 40 of the weft insertion device 3. The rod 46 then lifts the cutting device 2 back into the starting position, so that the scissors 15 are again in front of the entrance 40.

The weft insertion device 3 consists of a housing 50 fixedly attached to the machine and a closing plate 51 which can be moved up and down and which alternately opens and closes a guide channel 52 which runs in the housing and which is open on the side facing the weaving rotor 24. The already mentioned entrance 40 of the weft insertion device forms the beginning of the channel 52 and is located in front of an exit 53 of the blowpipe of those scissors, for example scissors 15, which the rod 45 placed in front of this entrance 40. An exit 54 of the channel is located in front of the entrance of a respective weft insertion comb of the weaving rotor 24 arriving there. The closing plate 51 is carried by an arm 57 by a yoke 58 which is periodically moved up and down by two control disks 59 and 60. During the upward movement of the yoke, the closing plate is raised to the channel 52, with the downward movement the plate leaves the channel free on the side. The restoring force for the yoke is supplied by a compression spring 61, which is located in a bushing 62 on the housing 50. The axes of the control disks are guided through the wall of the gear box 37 and are driven there. Furthermore, a channel 63 runs in the housing 50 and is connected to a compressed air source and into the channel 52 shortly before it Exit 54 opens.

The device works as follows:
  • It is assumed that the weaving machine is in operation and the weaving rotor 24 rotates in the direction of the arrow. The measuring rollers 5, 6, 7 and 8 continuously pull four weft threads 70, 71, 72 and 73 simultaneously from fixed supply bobbins (not shown). Coming from the measuring roller, the weft threads pass through the blow tube of the respective scissors 15, 16, 17 and 18. The rod 45 has raised the cutting device 2 completely, so that the scissors 15 are located in front of the entrance 40 of the weft thread insertion device 3.

The weft threads 70, 71, 72 and 73 are in the rotation of the weaving rotor through the recess, e.g. 27, stepped in the cutting piece of the associated scissors 15, 16, 17 and 18 and in the corresponding weft insertion combs 80, 81, 82 and 83 of the weaving rotor 25, staggered by 1/4 of the weaving width, en route in their respective shed. The weft threads are pulled over the edge of the mouth of the associated blowpipe. This can be seen in FIG. 2 for the weft 70 in the scissors 15. The leading weft 70 has meanwhile moved closer to the shed tip due to the rotation of the weaving rotor and is entered over the full width of the shed. At this moment, the cutting lever 35 moves forward and pushes the associated blowpipe 20 of the scissors 15 with the weft 70 forward along a cutting edge 26 ′ of the cutting piece 26, so that the weft is severed. The weft thread remaining in the blow tube remains captured by the air flow in the blow tube and is the next weft thread 74 in the guide channel 52 of the weft thread insertion device 3, which is now closed again by the closing plate 51, and from there, supported by the air flow from the channel 63, into the one that has now arrived blown next weft insertion comb 84 of the weaving rotor. The weft thread is therefore not stopped on its way from its measuring roller to the weaving rotor, but moves continuously at a constant speed.

The rod 45 now lowers the cutting device 2 by one step, so that the blow tube of the scissors 16, which guides the weft thread 71, is now in front of the entrance 40 of the guide channel 52. The weft thread end 70 'of the weft thread 70 which had become free was detected by an element (not shown) immediately before being cut during the cutting movement of the cutting lever 35, so that the weft thread movement is braked to a standstill. The weft 70 is now knocked into the cloth by the stop comb following the weft insertion comb 80 (not shown). Now the closing plate 51 is moved downward again, so that the newly inserted weft thread 74 emerges from the guide channel 52 and can be carried along by the weaving rotor. The weft 71 is cut and knocked in the same manner as described for the weft 70.

In succession, the cutting device 2 is now lowered by two further stages and the weft threads 72 and 73 are inserted. The rod 45 then raises the cutting device by four steps at a time, so that the starting position with the scissors 15 in front of the entrance 40 is reached again and the processes described can be repeated.
