Description

The invention relates to a linkage device of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 and known from DE-A-2839048.

In the known articulation device, the bearing pin provided on the hinge arm is pivotably and slidably mounted in a guide slot of the U-shaped receiving part, while the support arm on the one hand on the hinge arm near its fastening point on the luggage compartment lid and on the other hand on the receiving part at a greater distance from the rear end of the guide slot and approximately is articulated at its height. As a result, the luggage compartment lid is moved away from the facing lower edge of the rear window when swiveling in the opening direction, that is to say toward the rear. This is particularly necessary if, for example, the lower edge of the rear window is slightly below the front edge of the luggage compartment lid, which makes the rear window difficult to install and, furthermore, the paint on the body panel adjoining the lower edge of the rear window is not included in the luggage compartment lid, which is usually installed in the bodyshell optimal thickness can be applied; this mainly affects the visual effect of the paint. In the known articulation device, the receiving part has a very large longitudinal extension because of the articulation of the support arm, which is at a large distance from the rear end of the guide slot, and therefore extends over a relatively large longitudinal section of the two lateral edges of the opening of the luggage compartment. As a result, the accessibility to the latter is reduced at its lateral front edge regions. Since, in the known articulation device, all parts are also exposed when the luggage compartment lid is open, it also acts unsightly. Finally, a luggage compartment lid that is curved in its width, the front edge of which lies somewhat above the facing lower edge of a rear window that is strongly cambered on its side areas, can be proven, when articulated by means of the known device, in a somewhat retracted and opened state with its lateral front edges, the rear window or surrounding body parts touch.

The object of the invention is therefore to design a linkage device according to the preamble of patent claim 1 in such a way that it enables the foldable body part to be displaced longitudinally sufficiently for each application - without it coming into contact with an adjacent window pane or body parts in the pushed-back and opened state - Is guaranteed and the accessibility to the space covered by the foldable body part is not impaired, but the articulation device should nevertheless be manufactured with relatively little production effort and be assembled easily.

To achieve the object, the features set out in the characterizing part of patent claim 1 are provided.

Due to the articulation of the support arm on the bearing journal and its expediently downward extension, the articulated parts lie below the articulation point of the foldable body part and the rigid body part adjoining it, so that the accessibility to the space covered by the former is not impaired and also no unsightly acting articulation parts in the Range of vision.

When the recess is designed as an open guide slot and a removable mounting of the support arm at its lower end section (features of claim 3), a luggage compartment lid pivotally mounted by the articulation device according to the invention can, if necessary, be removed quickly and easily, namely simply by swiveling down a latch, and thus bulky goods in the luggage compartment or the like can be transported. This is also advantageous for vehicle production with regard to the automation of assembly processes, since the spare wheel can be easily used by a robot from above if the luggage compartment cover is not available.

Since the latch (feature of claim 5) is provided with a locking tongue and a system extension, the bearing pin can be moved to a first (usual pivoting position of the luggage compartment lid) and in a second (retracted position of the luggage compartment lid) pivot point position. In the latter, the rear window - even if it has a large curvature - can be used without hindrance and without a holding device to keep the luggage compartment lid open, while in the first pivot position, into which the bearing pin only has to be pushed against spring action, the chest flank of the locking tongue is spring-loaded acts against the trunnion, whereby this always, ie without tolerance setting, is rotatably mounted without play.

Further embodiments of the invention are characterized in other subclaims.

  • Fig. 1 ein in ein Aufnahmeteil eingesetztes Scharnierelement;
  • Fig. 2 eine vergrösserte Einzelansicht des Aufnahmeteils, wobei sich der Lagerzapfen in einer ersten Drehlage befindet;
  • Fig. 3 einen Schnitt längs der Linie 111-111 in Fig. 2;

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and is explained in the following. It shows:
  • 1 shows a hinge element inserted into a receiving part;
  • 2 shows an enlarged individual view of the receiving part, the bearing journal being in a first rotational position;
  • 3 shows a section along the line 111-111 in Fig. 2.
  • Fig. 4 is a view in the direction of arrow X of Fig. 2;
  • Fig. 5 is a plan view of a rear area of a passenger car, the luggage compartment lid is articulated by means of the inventive device.

The rear area of a passenger car shown in FIGS. 1 and 5 has a luggage compartment 1 which can be covered by a luggage compartment lid 2. This is on its two side front edge areas pivotally mounted on the vehicle body 4 by means of a respective articulation device 3. The luggage compartment lid 2 is arranged in the region of a rear window 5 such that in the closed state its front edge 2 'lies somewhat above the facing lower edge 5' of the rear window 5 and thereby covers the lower edge 5 '.

The articulation device 3 provided in each case on a lateral edge region of the luggage compartment lid 2 consists of a receiving part 7 fastened to the vehicle body 4 in the region of the front corners of the opening 1 'of the luggage compartment 1 and in each case a hinge element 8. This in turn is composed of a cranked one the underside of the luggage compartment lid 2 and on its front edge attached hinge arm 9, an angular support arm 10 and a gas pressure cylinder 11 together, the hinge arm 9 and the support arm 10 articulated with one another via a bearing pin 12 provided on their free end portions and projecting from the side wall 10 'thereof are connected. In the central region of the longitudinal extension of the free section 9 'of the hinge arm 9, the gas pressure cylinder 11 is articulated, the piston rod 11' of which is pivotally mounted in the angular region of the support arm 10, so that the hinge element 8 lies in one plane and is closed on the other side.

Von der Lagerausnehmung 15 steht schliesslich ein Auflagefortsatz 16' ab.The receiving part 7 made of sheet metal (FIG. 2) has an approximately rectangular outer shape and is fastened to the vehicle body 4 in such a way that its broad sides run perpendicularly, that is to say corresponding to the vertical axis of the vehicle. At the upper end region of the receiving part 7 there is an extension 13 which projects from its broad side and faces the rear of the vehicle and in which an open guide slot 14 is formed which runs in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. This has a length of approx. 40 mm and is arcuate, its circular arc running around the center a of a bearing recess 15 located below it. When the bearing pin 12 abuts against the web 14 ′ of the guide slot 14, the latter takes on a first pivot point position I, while the second pivot point position II of the bearing pin 12, when it is displaced along the guide slot 14, is close to its mouth opening 14 ″, which faces the rear of the vehicle 2 also shows, the bearing recess 15 is arranged in a projection 16, which is provided at the lower end region of the receiving part 7 and which runs parallel to the extension 13. The center a of the bearing recess 15 lies perpendicularly below the center b of the first pivot position I of the bearing pin 12 The bearing recess 15 serves for the rotatable mounting of a bearing pin 17 provided on the lower end section of the support arm 10 - which extends downward from the bearing pin 12 - and has a semi-circular section 15 'located at the bottom. This is assigned a circular peripheral section 17' of the bearing pin 17, while one from the circular peripheral portion 17 'radially projecting fixing tongue 17 "with pivot 12 in the pivot position I is close to the upper edge of the bearing recess 15 (FIG. 4). Finally, a support extension 16 'protrudes from the bearing recess 15.

Durch die Wirkung der Schenkelfeder 21 wird die Rastklinke 20 schliesslich in Pfeilrichtung d in ihre Ruhelage zurückgeschwenkt.2 and 3 it can be seen that an angled sheet-metal part 13 'which is at a distance from its plane and which surrounds a cavity c with the extension 13 is attached to the extension 13 of the receiving part 7. This is penetrated by a bearing pin 18 connecting the extension 13 and the sheet metal part 13 ', on which a latch 20 is pivotally mounted. The bearing pin 18 is also surrounded by a leg spring 21 lying next to the latter, the two end portions 21 ', 21''of which protrude away past an angle 22 of the latching pawl 20 and are in contact with the angle 22 or at most are at a short distance from it; finally, the two end sections 21 ', 21 "in the rest position of the latching pawl 20 are pretensioned against an abutment pin 23 arranged adjacent to the bearing pin 18, which is inserted into the extension 13 and the sheet metal part 13' while penetrating the cavity c. The locking pawl 20 is provided with an overlying locking tongue 24 and adjacent to it with a contact extension 25, the chest flank 24 'of the locking tongue 24 extending to the central region of the semicircular web 14' of the guide slot 14 and extending to the chest flank in the spring-loaded rest position of the locking pawl 20 24 'adjoins an oblique back flank 24 "which runs towards the appendix 25. Finally, a downwardly projecting handle 26 is provided on the appendix 25. The longitudinal extension of the locking tongue 24 and the oblique position of its chest flank 24' is dimensioned or runs in such a way that in the spring-loaded rest position of the latching pawl 20 - that is to say with end sections 21 ', 21 "of the leg spring 21 which are supported on the contact pin 23 with pretension - the bearing journal 12 is held in its first pivot position I against the web 14' of the guide slot 14; the support arm 10 is non-rotatably connected to the bearing pin 12, while this in turn cooperates with the free portion 9 'of the hinge arm 9. To move the bearing pin 12 into its second fulcrum position 11 together with the support arm 10 and the hinge arm 9 (FIG. 2), the detent pawl 20 acts against the action of the leg spring 21 - the upper end section 21 'being supported on the contact pin 23, while the lower end section 21 is supported the bend 22 is pivoted downward - pivoted upward in the direction of the arrow d until the free end of the back flank 24 "lies at the level of the lower arc section of the guide slot 14 and the bearing pin 12 can thereby be displaced toward the mouth opening 14". If this is close to the semicircular recess 25 'of the extension 25, the latch 20 is released, whereby it is pivoted back into the rest position by the action of the leg spring 21 (against arrow direction d) and The extension 25 closes the mouth opening 14 "of the guide slot 14, as shown in Fig. 2. Finally, the bearing pin 12 lies in its second pivot position II on the semicircular recess 25 'of the extension 25, as illustrated in Fig. 2 with dash-dotted lines To completely remove or insert the bearing pin 12 together with the support arm 10 and the hinge arm 9 from the guide slot 14 or on these - as will be explained in the following - the detent pawl 20 is pivoted downwards in the direction of the arrow e (the lower end section 21 " the leg spring 21 is supported on the contact pin 23, while the upper end section 21 "is pivoted upward by the bend 22) until the free end of the contact extension 25 lies at the level of the lower curved section of the guide slot 14 and thereby its jaw opening 14" is released. Due to the action of the leg spring 21, the locking pawl 20 is finally pivoted back into its rest position in the direction of arrow d.

The luggage compartment lid 2 is inserted with the hinge elements 8 attached to it as follows in the two mounting parts 7 fixed to the vehicle body (FIG. 1).

As the mounting pivot position of the hinge element 8 shown with three dots and a line shows, the bearing bolt 17 fastened to the support arm 10 by means of the collar 17 "'is first placed on the support extension 16' and then shifted until its circular peripheral section 17 ' is received by the semicircular section 15 'of the bearing recess 15. The latch 20 is then deflected downward in the direction of the arrow e, so that the mouth opening 14 "of the guide slot 14 is released and the bearing pin 12 can be inserted therein. After pivoting the latch 20 in the direction of arrow d, the bearing pin 12 is arranged in the second pivot position II (if desired, of course also subsequently in the first pivot position I), as the pivot position of the hinge element 8 shown with two points and a dash shows; The respective closed position and maximum open position of the luggage compartment lid 2 are also illustrated with two dots and a dash. In Fig. 5, its closed position in the second pivot position II of the journal 12 is also shown with two points and a line. When the pivot 12 is in the second pivot position II, the front edge 2 'of the luggage compartment cover 2 is about 40 mm from the first pivot point position I by the dimension f (corresponding to distance f' in FIGS. 1 and 5 - length of the guide slot 14) the facing lower edge 5 'of the rear window 5 reset. As a result, the rear window 5 can be easily installed, and the paint can be applied completely to the body panel, not shown, which adjoins the lower edge 5 'of the rear window 5.

The bearing pin 12 is then shifted into its first pivot position I by pivoting the locking pawl 20 in the direction of the arrow d as explained and then pushing the bearing pin 12 up to the web 14 'of the guide slot 14. The first pivot point position I of the bearing journal 12 corresponds to the position of use of the luggage compartment lid 2, with the luggage compartment cover 2 and the hinge element 8 being shown with solid lines. Since the chest flank 24 ′ of the locking tongue 24 runs obliquely and it rests against the bearing journal 12 by spring action this always, ie regardless of manufacturing tolerances, held against the web 14 'of the guide slot 14. When pivoting the luggage compartment lid 2 into the open position shown with dash-dotted lines, its front edge 2 'describes an arc section g shown with dash-dotted lines. This runs through the support arm 10 arranged according to the invention on the bearing journal 12 and extending downward therefrom - the front edge 2 'of the luggage compartment lid 2 being above the lower edge 5' of the rear window 5 - continuously increasing, i.e. in such a way that the rear window 5 or a body part adjacent to it does not come into contact with it over the entire pivoting range of the luggage compartment lid 2 and can therefore be damaged. For better clarity, the gas pressure cylinder 11 is omitted in a pivoted position of the hinge element 8. The dismantling of the hinge elements 8 is carried out in reverse as described above.
