Definitions
- the invention relates to a system for conveying tennis balls, with an at least approximately perpendicular baffle and a collecting channel arranged at the foot of the balls, to which a ramp with a rising and a falling area adjoins the playing field, baffle or ramp are designed to absorb bumps.
- Systems of this type as can be seen, for example, from EP-A-0 043 886, have the purpose of collecting the balls hit by a player against the vertical baffle or the ramp and feeding them to a conveying device which transports them to a container.
- a ball throwing machine is usually connected to this container.
- the object of the invention is to ensure in such a device that balls hit against the baffle spring back from the wall with as little residual energy as possible, so that they are not thrown back over the ramp into the field, but are directed from the suitably designed ramp into the collecting trough .
- the device proposed to solve the problem shows a certain similarity to DE-A-1 428 841.
- a cover attached to a frame by means of springs which, however, does not slow down the tennis ball, but on the contrary throws it back onto the playground and thus simulates a kickback of the ball by an opponent.
- the baffle and / or at least a portion of the ramp has a covering which is only attached to a pair of parallel, horizontal and normal to the direction of the playing field edge strips of a frame and that the edge strips a rectangular connecting side pieces of the frame consisting of telescoped pieces of pipe strive apart under the pressure of springs arranged therein.
- the width of the halls for which the system according to the invention is to be used fluctuates within wide limits, it makes sense to manufacture both the baffle walls and the ramps in sections of constant length which can be strung together. Since the ramp and the baffle in this case are interrupted several times by side parts under spring pressure, it is recommended that the covering encompasses the outer edge of the edge strips, which lies in front of the level of the side parts. This prevents the tarpaulin from resting on the side parts under spring pressure and balls from these areas bouncing back into the field undamped.
- the arrangement according to the invention essentially consists of an at least approximately vertical baffle wall 2 carried by stands 16, which, like the ramp 5 composed of an ascending area and a descending area 4, is provided with a covering 1.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a system for conveying tennis balls, with an at least approximately perpendicular baffle and a collecting channel arranged at the foot of the balls, to which a ramp with a rising and a falling area adjoins the playing field, baffle or ramp are designed to absorb bumps.
Systems of this type, as can be seen, for example, from EP-A-0 043 886, have the purpose of collecting the balls hit by a player against the vertical baffle or the ramp and feeding them to a conveying device which transports them to a container. A ball throwing machine is usually connected to this container.
The object of the invention is to ensure in such a device that balls hit against the baffle spring back from the wall with as little residual energy as possible, so that they are not thrown back over the ramp into the field, but are directed from the suitably designed ramp into the collecting trough .
In DE-A-23 34 849 it has already been proposed to solve the same problem to produce the baffle from "elastically damping" material and to put it under tension. In addition to the fact that it is not known at all which materials would have suitable properties for solving the task at hand, the invention is intended to make it possible to use almost any covering for the baffle wall and ramp which, from the point of view of durability, cleanability and the like. Like. Can be selected.
On the outside, the device proposed to solve the problem shows a certain similarity to DE-A-1 428 841. There is shown a cover attached to a frame by means of springs, which, however, does not slow down the tennis ball, but on the contrary throws it back onto the playground and thus simulates a kickback of the ball by an opponent. In contrast to this, it is provided according to the invention that the baffle and / or at least a portion of the ramp has a covering which is only attached to a pair of parallel, horizontal and normal to the direction of the playing field edge strips of a frame and that the edge strips a rectangular connecting side pieces of the frame consisting of telescoped pieces of pipe strive apart under the pressure of springs arranged therein.
Since the width of the halls for which the system according to the invention is to be used fluctuates within wide limits, it makes sense to manufacture both the baffle walls and the ramps in sections of constant length which can be strung together.
- Fig. 2 die zugehörige Draufsicht,
- 1 shows an embodiment of the invention from the side,
- 2 the associated top view,
- 3 and 4 represent sections of enlarged side views partially cut.
The arrangement according to the invention essentially consists of an at least approximately
As is particularly apparent from Fig. 2,
The manner according to the invention, in which the
The shape and arrangement of the facing
Since the
