In diese Pressen, die oberhalb eines Eimers angeordnet werden, wird der nasse Bezug eingebracht und zwischen einem Boden oder Unterteil und einem Deckel oder Oberteil, die aufeinander zubewegbar sind, ausgepreßt. Der Bezug muß jedoch, ehe er in die Presse eingebracht wird, vom Halter abgenommen und nach dem Auspressen wieder auf den Halter aufgezogen werden. Dies ist sehr umständlich und zeitraubend. Ferner ist der bei einem derartigen Auspressen erreichbare Trockenheitsgrad des Bezuges noch sehr niedrig. Dies kann daran liegen, daß der Bezug ungeordnet in Form eines Knäuels in die Presse eingebracht wurde und/oder auch daran, daß sich Fremdkörper, z.B. kleine Steine, in den Fransen des Bezugs verfangen haben, die ein vollständiges Auspressen verhindern.Presses for pressing out wet wiping cloths or so-called wet wiping covers are known. Der Deckel 20 wird dabei nur um seine Achse 18 geschwenkt, während der Bügel 26 sich einerseits um die Mittelachsen seiner Lagerzapfen 36 dreht und andererseits um den jeweiligen Auflagepunkt der Rollen 44 auf den Abrollkurven 46 geschwenkt wird.
