Description

The invention relates to a ski boot ratchet closure containing
  • a) a locking lever which is pivotally mounted on a bearing plate which can be fastened to a first position of the ski boot,
  • b) a pull cable, the free end of which can be fastened to a second location on the ski boot, and
  • c) a toothed belt and a pawl which engages with the toothing of this toothed belt, the toothed belt and the pawl forming a connection of adjustable length between the locking lever and the pull cable.

Ski boot ratchet closures of the type explained above are known in practice in various embodiments. In this case, for example, the pull cable of a known closure is connected in an articulated manner to one end of the toothed belt, the other end of which engages in a pawl arrangement, the pawl of which is connected to the locking lever via a complex articulated connection. In the practical use of this ratchet fastener, it has been shown that when the locking lever is opened, the toothed belt in the ratchet formed by the pawl arrangement can be adjusted very easily, so that the correct adjustment of the fastener must be sought again when closing the ski boot.

The invention is therefore based on the object to form a ratchet lock of the type mentioned so that it ensures a reliable adjustment of the pawl with respect to the toothed belt with a relatively simple construction and maintains this setting even when the locking lever is opened. According to the invention this is achieved by feature d) of claim 1.

In this ratchet lock according to the invention, the pawl is connected to the relatively long pull cable, while the toothed belt is connected to the locking lever. This arrangement enables the locking lever to be opened and closed as desired and at the same time ensures that an unintentional adjustment of the ratchet or the ratchet lever relative to the toothed belt is avoided.

Beforehand, however, it should be pointed out that the arrangement and fastening of such a ratchet fastener 1 on the corresponding parts and areas of a ski boot is assumed to be known, so that for the sake of simplicity a suitable, associated ski boot is not illustrated.

Gemäß Fig. 1 enthält der Skistiefel-Ratschenverschluß 1 einen Schließhebel 2, ein Zugkabel 3, einen Zahnriemen 4 sowie den eigentlichen Ratschenteil 5, der einen U-förmigen Lagerkörper 6 und eine gelenkig davon getragene Klinke 7 aufweist.1, the ski boot ratchet closure 1 contains a locking lever 2, a pull cable 3, a toothed belt 4 as well as the actual ratchet part 5, which has a U-shaped bearing body 6 and a pawl 7 carried by it in an articulated manner.

As will be explained in more detail, the locking lever 2 is pivotally supported on a bearing plate 8, this bearing plate 8 being to be fastened at a first point in the ski boot (not shown). The locking lever 2 is connected to the toothed belt 4, preferably by means of a closed wire bracket 9 which, as can be seen in FIG. 1, is bent approximately rectangularly and is articulated both on the locking lever 2 and on the toothed belt 4.

The pull cable 3 can be designed in the usual way, for example as an elongated, closed loop, and its free end 3a can also be attached in a conventional manner (and therefore not illustrated in more detail) to a second location on the (not shown) ski boot (for example hooked or hooked) be. The opposite end 3b of the cable 3, however, is connected to the pawl 7 via the bearing body 6 of the ratchet part 5. The pawl 7 is in engagement with the teeth 10 incorporated into the top of the toothed belt 4 such that a connection of adjustable length is formed between the locking lever 2 and the pull cable 3 by the toothed belt 4 and the pawl 7.

The formation and arrangement of locking lever 2, toothed belt 4 and bearing plate 8 results in detail from FIGS. 2 and 3. The toothed belt 4 is preferably made of a wear-resistant, flexible plastic material, so that it can easily adapt to the curved outside of an associated ski boot can. The underside 4a of the toothed belt 4 forms a smooth sliding surface, while the teeth 10 molded into the upper side have an approximately sawtooth-like shape and thereby a reliable hold for. form the corresponding part of the pawl 7. While the front free end 4b of the toothed belt 4 runs thin and thereby allowing easy threading into the ratchet part 5, the rear end 4c facing the locking lever 2 is thickened like a bead and provided with a transverse bore 11. In this bore 11, one end 9a of the steel wire bracket 9 is articulated, the other end 9b of which is articulated in a notch 12 on the locking lever 2. which is worked into or molded into this locking lever 2 approximately in the central region between the articulation end 2a of the locking lever 2 and its free end 2b. Instead of a single notch 12 (as shown in FIG. 2), there is of course also the possibility of providing a plurality of such notches, so that there is a further adjustment possibility for the closure; each notch 12 is preferably formed so that the temple end 9b can be articulated to a certain extent with a slight snap.

The striker 2 has at its articulation end 2a a claw-shaped recess 13 (cf. FIG. 3) into which a joint projection 14 formed integrally with the bearing plate 8 to be attached to the ski boot engages. This hinge projection and the articulation end 2a of the locking lever 2 are connected to one another by a hinge pin 15, so that this results in the pivotable mounting between the locking lever 2 and the bearing plate 8.

The bearing plate 8 also has on its underside 8a facing the ski boot, in the region of the joint projection 14, a fastening pin 16 with which the bearing plate 8 can be fixed to the ski boot. To attach this bearing plate 8 to the ski boot, a fastening hole 17 is also provided on at least one end of this bearing plate, through which a rivet is passed, for example.

The actual ratchet part 5 will be explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 4 to 6. The U-shaped bearing body 6 has two side legs 6a, 6b, on which the pawl 7 is pivotally supported approximately in its central longitudinal section via a hinge axis 18, this hinge axis 18 passing through the bearing body and the pawl 7 in the transverse direction and in the side legs 6a , 6b is set in a suitable manner. The pawl 7 is with its tooth-shaped pawl engagement end 7a engaging in the teeth 10 of the toothed belt 4 by means of a spring 19 against the inside 6c 'of the bearing body connecting web 6c and thus also against the toothed belt 4 (in particular its toothed top) biased since this toothed belt 4 is supported with its underside 4a on the inside 6c 'of the connecting web 6c and is guided there.

Fig. 6). As already indicated above, the pull cable 3 is articulated with its end 3b facing the jack 7 in bores 20 of the bearing body side legs 6, 6a, 6b, so that this connection also results in the connection between the cable 3 and jack 7. Between the two side legs 6a, 6b, the pull cable end 3b runs approximately parallel to the hinge axis 18 of the pawl 7 (see FIG. 6). On the inner sides of the bearing body side legs 6a, 6b, the one ends 19a, 19b of the preferably bow-shaped biasing spring 19 extend to the end of the pull cable 3b, where they are supported from below. This biasing spring 19 is supported with a few turns on the hinge axis 18 (in each case in the vicinity of the side legs 6a, 6b) and is supported on the underside or in the region of the underside on the pawl 7 with its bow-like section 19c facing the pull cable end 3b, so that the latter is biased in the manner mentioned, as the arrow 21 in Fig. 4 indicates.

Regarding the materials from which the various parts of the ratchet fastener 1 can be made, it should be said that any suitable material known from practice can be used. In preferred embodiments, the locking lever 2 is made of suitable plastic or metal, the same also applies to the associated bearing plate 8, which is also preferably slightly curved to match the outer curvature of the ski boot. The tension cable 3 is a steel cable sheathed in the usual way with plastic, which can also have a sheet metal sheath at its ends 3a, 3b. The U-shaped bearing body 6 is suitably bent from sheet steel and its underside is also adapted to the outer curvature of the ski boot, while the associated pawl 7 is preferably formed from plastic or from a light metal.
