Description

The invention relates to a roof ridge covering with a central part lying in the ridge line and two side parts which overlap and extend in the region of the upper edge of the roof tiles.

A roof top cover of this type is known from DE-OS 28 46 025. The side parts are shifted U-shaped. The U opening is aligned on the eaves side. The overlying U-leg has a stop shoulder that takes over the function of the roof batten for hanging the roof tile. The other U-leg is overlapped like a hook by the edges of the middle part. The middle section also acts as a ridge pan. The U-web has openings for the purpose of ventilation. However, this configuration is disadvantageous insofar as the ventilation openings let in rainwater in the event of driving rain or under the wind. The otherwise continuous stop shoulder for hanging the roof tile forms together with the U-web a gutter in which rainwater can also collect, which then runs over the connection joints into the beams.

The object of the invention is to improve a generic roof ridge covering with regard to tightness and ventilation, which on the other hand provides for the use of classic ridge pans as the tunnel-overlapping end element.

This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1.

The subclaims are advantageous developments of the roof top cover according to the invention.

Dabei ist bezüglich dieser Seitenlinie eine Länge zugrundegelegt, dieAs a result of such a configuration, a dense roof covering, which is favorable in terms of ventilation but nevertheless withstands extreme weather conditions, is achieved. The middle section and side sections overlap each other under the protection of the ridge pan that covers the whole. The overlying web of the angular cap section, which runs in the direction of the sloping roof, no longer reaches under, but over the roof tile. Any gutter formation suitable for collecting rainwater is excluded. The web of the side parts which runs in the direction of the sloping roof further has cap-shaped shapes at a distance from the upwardly directed web for overlapping over the roof tiles. The shape corresponding to the roof tile profile provides optimal protection against driving rain, since the side parts practically nestle against the contour of the roof tiles. The distance between the upward web and the web sloping in the direction of the roof slope is dimensioned such that all the usual roof slopes are covered, i.e. H. there is enough scope for the downwardly angled U-webs of the middle section. The fact that support edges are taken into account for the ridge pans overlapping the central part in the area of the top of the cap results in good edge support for the ridge pans which are convexly curved in the transverse direction to the ridge of the roof. The bearing load of the same favors the fixation of the side parts, so that practically no special fastening measures are required here. The contact edges, which still protrude upward from the formations, form concealed ventilation slots, so that the ridge aisle is well ventilated. The ventilation openings in the middle section create a flow connection to the ventilation slot of the other side section. The support edges are advantageously formed by one side line of pyramid-shaped bumps of the formations. The length of this side line is based on:

Advantageously, the ventilation openings of the middle part are surrounded by collars pointing upwards. Even condensation water that collects on the top of the middle section cannot crawl through the openings, but is transferred via the rounded, downward-facing U-webs to the side panels, where it exits via the roof tiles. In order to enable an exact connection of the middle and side parts to each other, the one end section is stepped from the middle and side part. The paragraph corresponds essentially to the wall thickness. Finally, an advantageous feature is that the ventilation openings are arranged in two rows spaced apart from one another and running symmetrically to the longitudinal center line. The distance is chosen so that there is enough space in between for attaching the middle part to the ridge beam. The freely overhanging parts are surface stabilized by the collar-vented openings. Finally, it is also advantageous that the cap-shaped formations have an end wall running parallel to the web in the longitudinal direction.

The subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an illustrative embodiment. It shows
  • 1 shows the cross section through a covered ridge,
  • 2 is a top view of the central part,
  • 3 shows the section along line III-III in FIG. 2,

The rafters 1 colliding in the ridge level or line x-x and sloping on the eaves side are overlaid by a ridge board or beam 2. Roof battens 3 are nailed onto the top of the rafters 1 at the usual intervals. These run parallel to the ridge line xx and are used for hooking-in the roof tiles 4. The ridge last 3 on the ridge side is set back relative to the ridge line so that there is enough space to assign a roof ridge cover A consisting of a central part 5, two side parts 6, including this cover overlapping ridge pans 7.

The middle part 5 has a U-shape. Its U-legs 8 of the same length point vertically downwards. The U-web 9 is on the ridge, d. H. attached to the ridge beam 2, preferably nailed on. U-web and U-legs have a rounded transition 10. Immediately following the transition 10, the middle part 5 in the web 9 has ventilation openings 11. The latter lie in the freely extending areas of the web, which are therefore not covered by the top of the ridge beam 2.

-linie x-x.The ventilation openings 11 are designed in the manner of an elongated hole and are gripped by upwardly directed collars 12. A total of two rows are located at a distance from one another and run symmetrically to the longitudinal center line y-y of the middle part. The longitudinal center line y-y corresponds to the ridge plane or line x-x.

The middle part 5 overlaps with its downward-directed U-legs 8 upward webs 13 of the side parts 6. The latter represent the sealing strips of the roof top cover A. They are angular designed in such a way that the upward web 13 is the shorter angle leg and the web 14 extending in the direction of the roof slopes is the longer angle leg.

The web 14 extends over the ridge-side end region 4 'of the roof tiles 4 and is provided with shapes 15 for sealing engagement also over the transversely curved pan ribs 16 in accordance with the profile of the roof tile. The protrusions 15 projecting upward above the web 14 end on the ridge side with an end wall 17 running parallel to the web 13 in the longitudinal direction.

The formations 15 or the end wall 17 extends at such a distance z from the web 13 that there is sufficient free space in relation to the overlapping web 8 of the central part 5, so that practically all conventional roof slopes can be detected.

Between the formations 15, the web 14 lies directly on the recessed areas of the roof tile.

In the area of the top of the cap, the protrusions 15 continue into bumps 18 which protrude upwards. These are formed by pyramidal expressions. It is an approximately triangular plan having pyramids, which are assigned in relation to the transversely curved outer surface of the formations 15 so that one of the three side lines of the pyramid form a straight support edge 19 for the side edges 7 'of the ridge pan 7. The contact edge extends essentially horizontally and is of a length which takes into account the degree of taper of such ridge pans 7. The taper essentially corresponds to the dimension of the wall thickness of the ridge pans 7, which are convexly curved in the transverse direction. In this way, there is a corresponding support projection in the spacing of the formations.

A ventilation gap 20 thus remains between the resting ridge pan side edge 7 1 and the top of the web 14 (see FIG. 4). Taking into account the horizontal course of the side edge 7 'and the inclination of the roof tile 4, this ventilation gap converges inwards.

There is a flow connection to the other ridge side via the ventilation openings 11.

The assembly is as follows: after the covering has been carried out, the side parts 6 serving as sealing strips are placed on the upper end region 4 'of the roof tiles 4. Then the middle part 5 is assigned in such a way that the U-legs 8 and the web 13 overlap one another, the web 13 projecting into the U-space of the middle part. Then only the ridge pans 7 need to be placed and fastened, for. B. with a bracket.

Plastic material is preferably used for the middle part 5 and the side parts 6. The ridge tile, however, can, like for example the roof tiles 4, consist of cast stone or fired clay.

In order to ensure the correct assignment of the middle part and the side parts, they are stepped in the area of their one end section. The jump corresponding to the wall thickness is designated by 20. It lies in such a way that there is a flat support for the mutually adjoining, overlapping parts.

All the new features mentioned in the description and shown in the drawing are essential to the invention, even if they are not expressly claimed in the claims.
