Abstract

A device for severing round timber includes a rotatable circular saw and a transversal feeding device feeding round timber pieces towards the saw and for feeding cut sections of the timber from the saw towards the discharge end of the device. Vorrichtung zum Zerteilen von Rundholz mittels einer in einer Querfördereinrichtung angeordneten Kreissäge, wobei die Querfördereinrichtung mehrere nebeneinander umlaufende, mit Mitnehmern bestückte Förderketten aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Förderketten (2, 3) derart im spitzen Winkel zur Schnittebene der Kreissäge (14) verlaufen, daß die auf einer Seite der Schnittebene angeordneten Förderketten (2) in Förderrichtung (13) gesehen divergierend zu den auf der anderen Seite der Schnittebene angeordneten Förderketten (3) verlaufen.1.
