Description

The invention relates to a laying cart for covering elements according to the preamble of claim 1 or according to the preamble of claim 5.

A laying cart of this type is known from DE-A-2241 503. The known laying trolley is used in such a way that one picks up a covering element at an elevated level, for example at the top of a stack of covering elements, with the gripper, drives the laying trolley to the intended location of the covering element, and then lowers the gripper in a controlled manner by pivoting the boom downwards and finally that Covering element laid by settling. Due to the downward pivoting movement of the boom, an energy store, in the case of DE-A-22 41 503, a compression spring is tensioned. The energy accumulator is designed so that it is tensioned by the downward movement of the gripper loaded with a covering element, but that it can subsequently lift the gripper relieved of the covering element and the boom again due to the stored energy. The laying cart according to the invention also allows the above-described mode of operation.

As a control or braking device for the downward pivoting movement of the boom together with the gripper and gripped floor covering element, only a double-acting piston-cylinder arrangement is specifically disclosed in DE-A-22 41 503, in which when pivoting movements of the boom pressurized fluid via a throttle valve from a cylinder chamber is transferred to another cylinder chamber. Since the one cylinder chamber has a smaller working cross-section than the other cylinder chamber because of the functionally required piston rod, a pressurized fluid reservoir is provided, into which excess pressurized fluid is passed when the pressurized fluid passes. As a result, the means for realizing the control and the boom pivoting movements in the known laying cart are structurally very complex.

From DE-B-27 07 495 a laying cart for covering elements with linear upward and downward movement of the boom and with a compression spring is known as an energy store. The speed of the downward movement of the boom is controlled by a hydraulic throttle between two cylinder chambers, and a mechanical brake is provided for stopping.

The invention has for its object to provide a laying cart with structurally simple control of the boom pivoting movements and structurally more favorable energy storage training.

Erfindungsgemäße Lösungen dieser Aufgabe ergeben sich aus den kennzeichnenden Teilen der Ansprüche 1 und 5.Solutions to this object according to the invention result from the characterizing parts of claims 1 and 5.

Due to the curved guide, the at least one tension spring can be optimally accommodated as a force accumulator, which is structurally cheaper than a compression spring, in a space-saving manner.

The provision of two piston-cylinder arrangements according to claim 1, which expediently both have the same internal cylinder dimensions, only causes pressure fluid volumes to be transferred from one piston-cylinder arrangement to the other piston-cylinder when the boom of the laying cart according to the invention is pivoted downwards and upwards Arrangement without an additional container or other additional devices apart from the throttle valve with associated lines would be required. The two piston-cylinder arrangements can be relatively short in the longitudinal direction and are therefore inexpensive. The phrase "on opposite sides of the boom pivot axis" should preferably mean that the one piston-cylinder arrangement is in front of, i.e. is articulated on the gripper side of the boom pivot axis, and that the other piston-cylinder arrangement is behind, i.e. is articulated on the side of the boom pivot axis opposite the gripper.

The mechanical solution specified in claim 5 is structurally particularly simple, since no piston-cylinder arrangements of the type present in the solution according to claim 1 are required, although the disk brake or drum brake provided can be designed to be mechanically and hydraulically operable.

The solutions according to claim 1 and according to claim 5 can also be combined with one another.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the boom has an extension on opposite sides of the boom pivot axis, to which a piston-cylinder arrangement is articulated, the distance between the articulation point of the piston-cylinder arrangement and the boom pivot axis preferably being the same for both approaches. In this way, there are spatially favorable articulation points for the piston-cylinder arrangement. The approaches preferably extend essentially horizontally.

The two approaches are preferably provided at different heights on the upwardly pivoted boom, in particular one approach is lowered relative to the boom pivot axis and the other approach is raised by the same amount compared to the boom pivot axis. The two piston-cylinder arrangements are preferably upright and arranged at the same, horizontally measured distance from the boom pivot axis. These developments of the invention lead to optimal installation conditions for the piston-cylinder arrangements, the foot articulation points can be provided on the frame at the same height.

The frame of the laying cart is preferably constructed from an essentially upright support, on which the traversing wheels are mounted at the bottom, and an operating jib which carries it backwards. Preferably, the boom is pivotally mounted on the substantially upright support of the frame. In this way, one can get by with a relatively short cantilever length of the boom and have the gripper comparatively close to the upright support, so that the laying cart is optimally short and inexpensive to operate. This is because the closer the operator is to the gripper when the respective floor covering element is moved, the more precisely he can set the covering element down at the intended location, usually close to already laid covering elements. The service boom is only made so long that the operator can lift a new covering element from the described stack without too much effort, keep the laying cart balanced when the covering element is gripped and, if necessary, carry out the last part of the lowering path when laying by lifting the operating boom. A preferably provided support projecting downward from the operating boom, which can have an auxiliary wheel or auxiliary wheels at the bottom, allows the operating boom to be lowered without a large lowering distance.

In a further development of the invention, it is preferred that the boom is designed as an essentially angular or curved lever which extends upward from the frame and then projects forwardly. In this way you can keep the actual frame relatively low; the angular or curved shape of the lever leaves space for the gripper, which has not inconsiderable dimensions in the longitudinal direction of the laying cart in plan view.

The guide is preferably circular and concentric with the boom pivot axis. The at least one tension spring is preferably anchored to the other end in the region of the axis of the travel wheels.

To ensure convenient operation, it is preferably provided that the throttle valve or the at least one braking element can be operated by an operating boom of the laying cart. The throttle valve can be arranged on the operating arm or can be operated from there, for example by Bowden cables. The at least one brake element can be operated hydraulically or by a Bowden cable, for example, from the operating arm.

In the laying cart according to the invention, the boom pivot axis is advantageously arranged vertically above the axis of the traversing wheels. The upright support of the frame also advantageously extends vertically upward from the axis of the travel wheels. The energy accumulator and the hydraulic control system or the mechanical braking system can be concentrated in the area above the traversing wheels, so that they are close to the center of gravity and to the pivot axis of the entire laying trolley formed by the axis of the traversing wheels. As a result, the laying cart according to the invention can be easily manipulated and pivoted.

With the laying trolley according to the invention, floor covering elements in particular, the lowest in each case from a stack of floor covering elements which is gripped together, and groups of floor covering elements held together by the pressure of the gripper can be conveniently laid.

The invention enables a laying cart which is particularly compact, robust and inexpensive to manufacture and which requires little space, in particular having small cantilever lengths forwards and backwards.

The invention is explained in more detail below, for example. The single figure shows a schematic side view of a laying cart, the boom being drawn in the fully pivoted up position.

The cart intended for laying surface covering elements (not shown) on a floor surface 1 has a clamping gripper 3 carried by a cantilever arm 2. The gripper 3 is on the cantilever arm 4, one with its other arm 5 on an upright support or a stand 6 of the chassis articulated in a pivot axis 8 pivotally mounted, approximately angular arm or lever, the vertical arm 5 of which is supported on the upright 6 and has horizontal lugs 9 and 10 arranged on diametrically opposite sides of the pivot axis 8, at the free ends of which the piston rod 11 and the cylinder 13 of two piston-cylinder arrangements 11, 12 and 13, 14 are articulated, the other parts, namely the cylinder 12 and the piston rod 14, at the foot of the post 6 in cheeks 15 and 16 arranged there to store. The cylinders 12 and 13 of these piston-cylinder assemblies have the same clear cross-section, so that equal amounts of pressure medium which are supplied to and removed from these cylinders each correspond to the same piston strokes and, when the angular lever 4, 5 is pivoted, a respective pressure medium Quantity passes from one cylinder to the other cylinder. For this purpose, the two cylinders 12 and 13 are connected to one another via pressure medium lines 17 and 18, which are guided via a common throttle valve 19 arranged in the region of the handle 20 of the cart, which can be actuated by the cart operator. With the help of this throttle valve 19, the transfer of the pressure medium from one into the other of the two cylinders 12 and 13 are throttled or locked to control the speed and the extent of the movements of the gripper 3.

The angular lever with its lever arms 4 and 5 has two circular guides 21 which are arranged on both sides of the upright 6 and are concentric with respect to the pivot axis 8 and which accommodate a tension spring, the coil springs 22. The upper end 23 of each tension spring 22 is anchored at the upper end of the guide 21 and its lower end 26 is anchored to the undercarriage 25 in the region of the undercarriage axis 24.

The chassis 7 also has an essentially horizontal service boom or spar 27, to which the handle 20 and - in order to facilitate the handling of the cart - an auxiliary undercarriage 29 is fastened by means of a support 28.

The cart works as follows from the design described above:

To lay a covering element that is initially uppermost in a supply stack, the operator moves to this stack with a gripper 3 raised to the required height and sets the empty gripper 3 in the direction of arrow 3 'by pivoting the chassis 7 by means of the handle around the chassis axis 24 conveying covering element to be lifted from the stack in such a way that the gripper jaws 30 and 31 come to rest on two opposite sides of this covering element. The jaws 30 and 31, which are embodied by parts of a scissor-type lever linkage, unlock due to a pivoting of the lever 32, which sits on the top of the covering element and is thereby pivoted. The jaws 30, 31 can close when the covering element is raised.

The operator now travels to the installation location with the gripper 3 raised and loaded, the throttle valve 19 remaining completely closed and accordingly no pressure medium being able to pass from one of the two cylinders 12, 13.

Arrived at the installation site, the operator lowers the gripper 3 in the direction of the arrow 3 'by opening the throttle valve 19, controlling the speed of the lowering and also its extent by opening to a greater or lesser extent or by the duration of the valve actuation can.

The loaded gripper 3 is lowered and the associated pivoting of the levers 4, 5 and the guides 21 takes place in the direction of the arrow 21 'against the tension of the springs 22, which are tensioned as a result of this pivoting and store force.

If the covering element is in its desired position on the floor 1, the gripper jaws 30, 31 are unlocked by lowering the gripper 3, placing and pivoting the lever 32 and released from the covering element when the gripper is subsequently raised.

The springs 22 are stretched so far that they are capable of lifting the empty gripper 3 by pivoting the lever 4, 5. For this purpose, the throttle valve 19 is actuated until the gripper has reached the desired altitude, the pressure medium passing from the cylinder 13 into the cylinder 12 via the throttle valve.

Now the laying cart can be moved back to the stockpile in order to grab the next covering element to be laid with the raised empty gripper and then - as described above - to lay it.

The boom 2 can also consist of two identical parts which are pivotally mounted symmetrically on both sides of the upright 6 and are connected transversely to one another. It is also possible to form the upright 6 consisting of two identical supports, between which the arm 2 is pivotally mounted.

To implement the solution according to the invention according to claim 5, for example, the guides 21 can be designed on the inside as a brake drum, which interact with brake shoes attached to the upright 6. A further possibility is to attach a brake disc, which is concentric to the pivot axis 8, to the arm 2 in addition to one of the guides 21 and which cooperates with a corresponding brake caliper with brake pads attached to the upright 6. These options are not shown in the drawing.
