Claims (8)

1. A door-closing linkage which can be locked in an open position, with two arms which are connected by a hinge and the free ends of which are to be pivotally connected respectively to a door and to a door frame, wherein the hinge (4) has a hinge pin (14) securely connected to one arm (6) and at least one locking recess (18, 20, 22, 24) and in the other arm (8) there is provided a locking element (26) acted upon by spring pressure for engagement in the locking recess (18, 20, 22, 24), wherein the hinge pin (14) is releasably retained on the one arm (6) in any one of several angular positions, secured against rotation, and is formed by a mounting part (70, 72, 78) and a locking member (76, 90) fixed to this latter in a manner precluding relative rotation, characterised in that the mounting part (70, 72, 98) is fixed in the various angular positions, secured against rotation, in the one arm (6) by means of a first screw (80, 100) engaging from the free side of the one arm (6) in an internal thread (82, 102) of the hinge pin (14', 14"), and in that the other arm (8) is pivotally connected to the locking member (76, 90) by means of a second screw (84,104) engaging from the free side of the other arm (8) in an internal thread (88) of the hinge pin (14' ,14").
2. A door closer according to Claim 1, characterised in that the mounting part (70, 72) has a conical extension (70) to be pulled into a conical recess (74) in the one arm (6) by the first screw (80).
3. A door closer according to Claim 2, characterised in that outside the hinge pin (14) the one arm (6) is divided into two portions (73, 77) which are separated by a slot (71) extending as far as the conical recess (74) and which can be tightened together by a third screw (79).
4. A door closer according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that coupling balls (78) are provided between the locking member (76) and the mounting part (70,72).
5. A door closer according to Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the locking member (90) is screwed on to an externally threaded extension of the mounting part (98).
6. A door closer according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the second screw (84, 104) engages in an internal thread (88) of the locking member (76,90).
7. A door closer according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that at least one arm (8) has two portions (50, 54) which are connected by a two-ended adjusting screw (56) having opposed threads and held in position by lock nuts (62, 64).
8. A door closer according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the longitudinal sides of the arms (6, 8) are enclosed up to the hinge pins (14) by sheathing elements (Figures 6 and 7) which can be pushed on.
