Besonders günstig ist die Anwendung des Zusatzschaltglieds bei einem Regelorgan für Kochgeräte, bei denen eine Zusatzbeheizung dadurch eingeschaltet werden soll, dass zuerst der Einstellknopf nach rechts bis zum Anschlag gedreht und anschliessend wieder auf die gewünschte Stellung zurückgedreht wird. Während in dem beschriebenen Ausführungsbeispiel ein Umschalter beschrieben wurde, kann der Zusatzschalter selbstverständlich auch zum alleinigen Ausschalten oder zum alleinigen Einschalten verwendet werden.The additional switching element is suitable for plugging on any adjustment device that has a rotatable adjustment shaft. Claims (6)

1. Regulation or control device for cooking and/or heating units with a rotary adjustement control (41) for the power or temperature and a switching device (43) for switching an additional heating means (27) on and off, whose switching shaft is coaxial to the adjustment control (41), characterized in that the switching device (43) contains in a casing (111) fittable to the adjustment control (41) a driver (115) with a shoulder (116) connectable in non-rotary manner to adjustment shaft (114), said shoulder engaging in a recess, permitting a limited rotary movement, in a cam disk (117) arranged in rotary manner in casing (111) and which operates a contact (129) or contacts.

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the driver (115) is a disk which can be positively mounted on the adjustment shaft (114) of the adjustment control, the shoulder (116) is part of the disk which is bent round at right angles and the recess is a slot (120) extending along a circle around the rotation axis with an angle of less than 360°.
3. Device according to claims 1 or 2, characterized in that it regulates or control the power of the main and additional heating elements (26, 27).
4. Device according to one of the preceding claims characterized in that it is constructed as an adaptor switch for a power control device (36) or a thermostat.
5. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is ascociated with a timing, continuously variable power control device (36), with which it is possible to adjust a power under 10% of the total power.
6. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is associated with a heating element for a glass ceramic cooking means with a support tray (18) arranged below a glass ceramic plate (12), electrical heating resistors (25) being arranged in the central area of support tray (18) in the form of a substantially circular main heating element (26) and that the switching device (43) makes it possible to switch in additional heating elements (27), arranged on either side of the main heating element (26) and which supplement the entire heated surface in order to form an elongated rectangle with rounded corners.
