Abstract

1. A rail-carried electric drive vehicle, in which an electric traction motor (3) arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle drives two drive axles (2), each drive axle (2) being connected to the large wheel of a gearing through an elastic coupling (4), a cardan hollow shaft (5) surrounding the coupling and a further elastic coupling (6), the pinion of the large wheel being driven by an end of the rotor shaft of the traction motor (3), and the traction motor (3) and the gearing being resiliently suspended, characterised in that articulated swing bearings (10) arranged on both sides of the traction motor (3) serve for suspension, one hinge point (12) of the swing bearings being arranged on the vehicle frame (11) and the other hinge point (13) being arranged below the central line of the drive axle (2) of the traction motor (3) or the drive unit (9) consisting of the traction motor (3) and the transmission ; that the swing bearings (10) include a sprung, level-controlled element (14) ; and that at least two control levers (15) arranged in the longitudinal direction are located between the traction motor (3) or drive unit (9) and the underframe or pivoted bogie (1).
