Abstract

1. Claims (13)

1. A device for fixing a cladding at a spacing from a wall, the cladding comprising a plurality of panels (5) which are each fixed to the wall (P) at a plurality of points, the panels (5) for that purpose being provided on their face which is intended to be disposed facing the wall, with fixing lugs (37) arranged to co-operate with at least one horizontally extending shaped member (50), the shaped member (50) itself being supported by brackets (10) anchored in the wall (P), by means of a slide member (16) mounted displaceably on each bracket (10) for adjusting the position of the shaped member (50) with respect to the wall (P), the device being characterised in that the shaped member (50) is tubular and that, on the outside, on respective sides of an axis (X-X) of symmetry, it comprises two upper grooves (53, 54) and two lower grooves (55, 56) the upper grooves (53, 54) being intended to receive a first stirrup-like member (30) associated with each fixing lug (37) which is fixed with respect to the panels, while the lower grooves (55, 56) are intended to co-operate with a second stirrup-like member (21, 22) formed on the slide member (16).
2. A device according to claim 1 characterised in that each of the panels (5) is fixed to the wall (P) at four symmetrical points (A, B, C, D) with respect to the centre of the panel, on two tubular shaped members (50) which are displaced vertically by a height (H).
3. A device according to either one of the preceding claims characterised in that the tubular shaped member (50) extend over at least the length of a panel.
4. A device according to claim 1 characterised in that the second stirrup-like member (21, 22) formed in the slide member (16) can be fitted on the bracket (10) which is formed in a U-shaped member.
5. A device according to claim 4 characterised in that the slide member (16) is adjustable in position on the bracket (10) in a direction which is perpendicular to the plane of the wall (P).
6. A device according to claim 5 characterised in that the slide member (16) is adjustable in a direction which is transverse with respect to the limb portion (13) of the bracket (10) with which it is associated.
7. A device according to claim 6 characterised in that the slide member (16) comprises a base portion (17) with two downwardly extended edges (24, 25) capable of cooperating with the limb portion (13) of said bracket (10).
8. A device according to claim 7 characterised in that the base portion (17) of the slide member (16) comprises at least one opening (19, 19A) capable of being disposed opposite an elongate aperture (13A) provided in the bracket (10).
9. A device according to claim 1 characterised in that the two faces (57, 58) of the tubular shaped member (50), that do not have grooves, are curved inwardly so as to form a housing for the means connecting the first stirrup-like member (30) to the fixing lug (37).
10. A device according to any one of the preceding claims characterised in that the first stirrup-like member (30) associated with a fixing lug (37) is adjustable in position in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the panel (5) by means of an aperture (42) provided for that purpose in said fixing lug (37), so as to permit additional adjustment of said panel (5) with respect to the wall (P).
11. A device according to any one of the preceding claims characterised in that each panel (5) is suspended in its upper portion by at least two points, by the first stirrup-like members (30) which are fixed with respect to the fixing lug (37) abutting against the tubular shaped member (50), while in the lower portion, at least one stirrup-like member (30) which is fixed with respect to a fixing lug (37) provides a clearance (J) from the corresponding face of the shaped member (50), for possible expansion of the panel (5), the free terminal portions of said stirrup-like member (30) being engaged in the upper grooves (53, 54) of the tubular shaped member (50) and thus providing for frontal stablisation of the panel (5).
12. A device according to any one of the preceding claims characterised by a U-shaped member used to form the brackets (10) and the fixing lugs (37) which are internally provided with two longitudinal ribs (65, 66) on respective sides of a longitudinal median axis.
13. A device according to any one of the preceding claims characterised in that a locking element (67) is disposed between clamping means (68) for fixing the bracket (10) to the wall (P) and a fixing lug (37) to the panel (5), said locking element (67) being capable, upon being tightened, of digging into the ribs (65, 66) provided for that purpose in the brackets (10) and fixing lugs (37).
