The invention relates to an electric megaphone. These devices are known to contain a microphone, an amplifier and a loudspeaker and are usually designed so that a microphone and Loudspeakers are connected to a portable unit, which is used when operating the device in front of the The speaker's mouth is held. However, devices of this type have also become known in which the microphone is detachable from the loudspeaker so that the loudspeaker is some distance away can be set up by the microphone.
In order to make the device as versatile as possible, it is optionally available for mains or battery operation set up. There is usually only one common speech switch for both operating modes intended. The speech switch is intended to reduce power consumption during breaks in speech and also prevent the sound beam when the device is set down is reflected from the ground, a feedback howl sets in. Only when the talk button is switched on should start the reinforcement.
Bei Betätigung des Schalters wird einerseitsAccording to the invention, a single pole switch is provided and the circuit of the device is so formed that with this switch over the same line in mains operation and in collector operation various switching measures can be carried out. The megaphone contains a microphone ι with a speaking funnel 2. The microphone is built into a rubber skin to protect against moisture and is stored in rubber to avoid structure-borne noise. The funnel-shaped speaking opening is also provided with a rubber edge, as is the loudspeaker edge, in order to prevent the device from sounding too loudly when touched or when striking against it. The microphone is detachably fastened in a capsule on the loudspeaker 3. The loudspeaker has a handle 4 which is provided with a speech switch 5. The speech switch is designed as a push button that can be snapped into place. A connecting cord 6 leads to the amplifier box 7. This box contains an accumulator 8, which can optionally be replaced by a battery, a transformer 9, a chopper 10, the amplifier tubes and the other switching elements required for the operation of the device. The device can be connected to a mains socket 13 via a plug 11 and a line 12. The box can be carried over the shoulder on a shoulder strap. The accumulator is expediently pushed into the amplifier box from below. A partitioned off space can be provided to accommodate the accumulator. The box has a lid 14 in which the connecting cords can be stored. To charge the accumulator from the network, it is removed from the device as shown in FIG. 2 and connected via a charging cord 15 to the same socket 16 into which the plug 17 of the connecting cord 6 is switched on during speech operation. When the battery is charged, it is reinserted into the device and the charging cord is housed in the cover of the device. In the circuit diagram (Fig. 3), the microphone 1 is also shown, the z. B. can be a crystal microphone. The alternating voltage emitted by it is fed to the grid of the first amplifier tube 26 via the potentiometer 18. The control button of the potentiometer is conveniently housed in the microphone capsule so that the volume control can also be operated with the microphone removed. The connector Vj is designed as a seven-pin connector in the circuit that connects the loudspeaker to the device box. The loudspeaker 3 and the speech switch 5 are also indicated in the circuit. They are connected to the connector pins 19, 21 and 25, while the microphone is connected to the connector pins 20 and 22. The amplifier contains five tubes 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30, of which the first two work as a preamplifier with resistance coupling, while the third tube is connected to a phase inversion stage and the last two tubes are connected as a push-pull output stage, with the loudspeaker via a transformer 31 is coupled. The power supply part, which is indicated in the lower part of the circuit diagram, is located in the device, for example above the amplifier. It contains the chopper 10, the transformer 32 and the rectifiers 33 and 34 for the anode voltage and the grid voltage. In addition, rectifiers 35 are provided for generating the heating voltage during mains operation. The accumulators 8 are switched on via a switch 36.
When operating the device from the accumulator the chopper excitation via a relay 37 with the contact is through the speech switch 5 3'8 switched on. Through the speech switch 5, the resistor 41 is also connected to ground, whereby the grid bias of the tubes 27, 29 and 30 is reduced and thus the tubes are unlocked will. To connect the device to the AC network, the line 12 is provided, whose Plug 11 automatically actuates switches 39 and 40 when connected to the device. Through the Switch 39, the primary circuit of the transformer 32 is switched on. The switch 40 is the heating switched over and the chopper excitation switched off. When the power supply part to be used to charge the collector, then instead of the loudspeaker connector 17, the charging plug 42 is plugged in, which has only three pins through which the Connection to sockets 22 and 24 is established, while the third pin is used for grounding. Due to the lack of connection between sockets 23 and 24, the heating circuit is during charging interrupted.
A special socket for the charging cord 15 or an in the Device built-in switch can be provided so that it is then not necessary to use the accumulator take out. In this case, however, it is advisable to install special safety measures to prevent the acid fumes generated during charging from damaging the device.
