The invention relates to a glass door for fire protection purposes with a fire protection pane held by a supporting structure with a protective agent contained therein which foams up in the event of fire with a cooling effect, wherein the hinges and the lock parts of the glass door are attached to the supporting structure.
Such glass doors are designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke as well as the unacceptable transfer of heat in accordance with their fire resistance duration. DIN 4102, Part 13, describes fire protection glazing of fire resistance class F and fire resistance class G and explains its requirements.
Um im Brandfall eine Beschädigung der Stahlhohlprofile sowie ein Durchschlagen der Flammen im Bereich der Stoßflächen zwischen einerConventional fire-resistant glazing uses a support structure made up of profiles, which is tailored to the glass panes used in terms of its size and fire protection properties. The fire-resistant glazing used in practice is held in place by support structures made up of hollow steel profiles. In order to avoid the risk of fire between a glass door and a fixed fire protection pane, the hollow steel profiles are covered and protected on both sides by strips of non-combustible or flame-retardant material. In addition to the high cost of production, this fire protection glazing has the disadvantage that the strips of non-combustible or flame-retardant material lead to a considerable thickness of the glazing, so that it does not look very appealing. This is also due to the fact that the hollow steel profiles and their cladding are relatively wide in comparison to the total area of the fire protection pane.
A further developed fire protection glazing with a glass door is known from DE-U 91 01 452. This does not require a fireproof cladding of the hollow steel profiles and also does not use the fire protection materials that were usual up to that point. However, the glass door made using these unclad hollow steel profiles is also relatively thick and therefore cumbersome to use. Its production also requires a relatively large number of individual parts.
The invention is based on the object of creating a glass door for fire protection purposes which is designed to be particularly flat while ensuring the fire protection requirements and can be assembled from only a few components.
Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe wird vorgeschlagen, daß dieTo solve this problem, it is proposed that the
Stützkonstruktion aus im Querschnitt U-förmig gestalteten StahlprofilenSupport structure made of U-shaped steel profiles
besteht, die mit ihren Schenkeln zumindest die senkrechten Ränder der Brandschutzscheibe umfassen.whose sides encompass at least the vertical edges of the fire protection pane.
Such a support structure for a fire protection pane is particularly simple and consists of very few components, but nevertheless offers the required fire protection without any restrictions. The measures according to the invention also create a particularly flat glass door, which not only offers optical advantages, but also improves the handling when opening and closing the glass door due to its lower weight.
The glass door shown in Fig. 1 consists of a fire protection pane 1 held on all sides by a support structure. The support structure consists of a total of four steel profiles 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d with a U-shaped cross-section. The steel profiles 2a and 2b form the upper and lower ends of the fire protection pane 1, respectively, while the steel profiles 2c and 2d cover the vertical edges of the fire protection pane 1. In the corner area, the steel profiles 2a to 2d are each cut at a mitre 3 and welded together.
The hinges 4 are welded to the vertical steel profile 2c, while the steel profile 2d forms the lock side of the glass door and partially serves to accommodate the lock parts, which is explained in more detail below using Fig. 2 and 3.
Fig. 2 and 3 show that the fire protection pane 1 is a special laminated glass consisting of several panes of glass 1a, 1b, 1c with fire protection layers 1d, 1e arranged between them. In the event of a fire, these fire protection layers 1d, 1e are activated, absorbing heat radiation and thus forming an effective insulating layer that prevents the passage of fire and smoke. The activation of the fire protection layers 1d, 1e in the event of a fire causes them to foam up and become cloudy, creating a practically opaque fire protection wall.
Eine entsprechende Fuge befindet sich auch zwischen der unteren Stirnfläche der Brandschutzscheibe 1 sowie dem denIn Fig. 3 it is shown that the U-shaped steel profile 2d with its two legs 4 encloses the vertical edges of the fire protection pane 1. A flat seal 5 is arranged between the inside of the legs 4 and the respective edge of the fire protection pane 1. Between the inner face 6 of the steel profile 2d and the face 7 of the fire protection pane there remains a gap of 1-4 mm, which in the event of a fire is closed by the material of the fire protection layers 1d, 1e partially escaping from the fire protection pane 1. This is associated with cooling of the inner face 6 of the steel profile 2d, so that the heat transfer is reduced. A corresponding gap is also located between the lower face of the fire protection pane 1 and the
unteren Abschluß der Glastür bildenden Stahlprofil 2b. In dieser Fuge befinden sich schmale Holzklötzchen, welche das Gewicht der Brandschutzscheibe 1 in dem Stahlprofil 2b abstützen.steel profile 2b forming the lower end of the glass door. In this joint there are narrow wooden blocks which support the weight of the fire protection pane 1 in the steel profile 2b.
Fig. 2 shows the glass door in the area of the lock parts. Here, the fire protection pane 1 is provided with a rectangular recess 9, which is larger than the lock case 10 inserted into it. The outer part of the lock case 10 is covered by the continuous steel profile 2d, while the inner part of the lock case 10 facing the fire protection pane 1 is covered on both sides by metal plates 11. Fig. 2 also shows that the metal plates 11 are arranged as an extension of the legs 4 of the steel profile 2d, i.e. are aligned with the legs 4. For this purpose, both metal plates 11 are connected to the end faces of the respective legs 4 by weld seams 12. The distance between the metal plates 11 is therefore identical to the distance between the legs 4 of the steel profile.
The expansion of the metal plates 11 exceeds the expansion of the recess 9 of the fire protection pane to be covered, so that an overlap area is created in which the edge of the fire protection pane 1 surrounding the recess 9 rests against the inner surfaces of the metal plates 11 with the seal 5 in between. Openings in the metal plates 11 enable the axes of the door handles to pass through, while a further opening 13 in the front face of the steel profile 2d creates space for the functional side of the lock case 10 with the bolt 14. Strips 15 made of material that foams when exposed to heat are located on the side surfaces of the lock case 10. Such strips can also be attached to the inner or outer surfaces of the metal plates 11. In the event of a fire, they ensure that the metal plates 11 are cooled.
