Description
The invention relates to an insulation board according to the preamble of claim 1.
In construction, mineral fiber insulation boards are used for heat and/or sound insulation, e.g. for wall, ceiling and roof insulation. The insulation boards are available as prefabricated elements and are placed together on the construction site.
The insulation panels can be made of stone, glass or slag.
There are mineral fiber insulation boards in various designs. A simple version includes the bare insulation board, i.e. the insulation board is uncoated on all sides. For different purposes, there are mineral fiber insulation boards laminated on one side, e.g. with an aluminum foil, or insulation boards coated on one side with a bituminous material.
The insulation panels laminated with aluminum foil are mainly used for roof interior insulation, whereby they are usually arranged between two roof rafters and attached to the underside of the rafters using aluminum foil fastening strips that protrude on both sides.
Insulation panels coated with a bituminous material can be bonded to protective films, e.g. a layer of tar paper, after they have been laid using the bituminous material as an adhesive, whereby the bituminous layer is liquefied by the heat applied.
If these concerns are confirmed, serious restrictions on handling this material are likely to be imposed, unless its use is completely banned. Handling refers to handling during manufacture, installation and long-term use of the installed insulation panels, because in all of these cases microfibres can be released, which can damage the respiratory tract and lungs of those involved.
Mineralfasern insbesondere für das Bauwesen weiterverwenden zu können, ohne gesundheitliche Schäden befürchten zu müssen.may place a burden on people and have a harmful effect on their health in the sense described above.
Although there are other insulating materials, such as plastic foam or cork, which are supposed to be harmless, these insulating materials are considerably more expensive than mineral fiber insulation boards. The invention is based on the object of creating a way to continue using mineral fiber insulation boards, particularly for construction, without having to fear damage to health.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the insulation board is wrapped in a film and is used in this form in particular in construction. The design according to the invention is advantageous for several reasons. Firstly, because the insulation board is wrapped or packaged, no more fibers can escape and cause damage to health. This applies both to the handling of the insulation board, its storage and transport, as well as to the handling of the insulation board when it is laid and also to the time it is actually used as an insulating element. Secondly, wrapping or packaging the insulation board prevents moisture or humidity from penetrating the insulation board, which would impair its insulating properties. The design according to the invention not only simplifies the storage and handling of the insulation board because it is not necessary to ensure that the insulation board is not exposed to moisture, e.g. rain, but also significantly expands the range of suitability of the insulation board because the insulation board can also be used in damp rooms and, despite the influence of moisture, wetness or a liquid such as water, the insulating properties are not impaired.
Since moisture cannot penetrate the insulation board according to the invention even over a long period of time, the compressive strength of the insulation board is not impaired. This also avoids the disadvantage of known insulation boards, namely a reduction in compressive strength of e.g. 25 to 30% after 2 to 3 years due to the absorption of moisture. The invention is therefore particularly suitable for insulation in flat or slightly inclined arrangements of the insulation boards, preferably for flat or slightly inclined roofs.
The handling of the insulation board according to the invention is also improved because it can be touched with bare hands during installation without microfibers being able to penetrate the skin.
DieseIt is known to cover several insulation panels stacked on top of each other with a plastic film to simplify transport and storage, thus forming a stacked block, but this is only a partial covering and, in addition, this covering must be removed before the insulation panels are laid in order to make the insulation panels accessible and to be able to lay them.
The known measure therefore has a completely different objective and the advantages achievable through the invention cannot be achieved as a result.
To achieve the advantages according to the invention, it is not necessarily necessary to have a completely tight covering or packaging of the insulation board. Covering the surface of the insulation board on all sides, e.g. by overlapping, is sufficient to prevent the fibers from escaping or moisture from entering the insulation board. A film that is resistant to moisture and wetness, in particular a plastic film made of PE material, is very suitable as a packaging or covering material. It is also advantageous to use a material as a film that is only partially flammable or difficult to ignite or difficult to ignite and can therefore be classified in fire class B. When using a PE material, this can be ensured by appropriate additives in the material.
However, it is advantageous to pack or encase the insulation board tightly. This can be achieved in a simple and cost-effective way by welding or shrinking the insulation board. A tightly wrapped or packaged insulation board has the advantage that, on the one hand, even with relatively large pressure differences (e.g. atmospheric pressure), no fibers escape and, on the other hand, standing water cannot penetrate the insulation board.
It is usual to lay mineral fiber insulation boards in conjunction with a vapor barrier film. An expedient development of the invention can consist in that the vapor barrier film is incorporated into the wrapping or packaging on at least one side of the insulation board and is preferably firmly and particularly tightly connected to it. This saves wrapping or packaging material and simplifies production. The wrapping or packaging material can also be connected to the vapor barrier film by welding if both parts are preferably made of plastic, particularly PE material.
Zusammenfügen mehrererPreferably, the part of the vapor barrier film assigned to an insulation board is larger than the base area of the insulation board on at least two sides of the insulation board, such that the vapor barrier film protrudes beyond the insulation board on at least two sides, so that when laying or joining several
Insulation panels have an overlap of the protruding foil edge strips with the floor sections of the adjacent insulation panel lying on top of them.
Another development of the invention can consist in the film surrounding the insulation board being perforated. Such a perforation is useful in order to ensure that the air can escape from the interior of the film when the film shrinks. It is also advantageous to make the perforation so small that gas or air or residual moisture in the insulation board can escape to the outside, but moisture or a liquid, especially water, cannot penetrate from the outside to the inside.
The perforation of the insulation board's casing also has the following advantage. If the insulation board's casing or the vapor barrier underneath is damaged, moisture could penetrate the insulation board from bottom to top over time. After a long enough time, the insulation board would then be damp and would no longer be able to fulfill its thermal insulation function to the desired extent. The perforation, particularly on the top, allows the moisture to escape upwards and the insulation board's function can still be maintained.
Another development consists in providing measures to connect insulation panels of the present type with or without vapor barrier foil. For this purpose, an adhesive application could be provided on at least two sides of the covering, by means of which the coverings of two adjacent insulation panels can be connected to one another. This adhesive application can preferably be an adhesive strip with a removable protective strip. The protective strip can be removed immediately before assembly. Within the scope of the invention, it is also possible to arrange the adhesive application on the top side of the protruding edge strip of the floor foil, which preferably consists of vapor barrier foil, so that two adjacent insulation panel elements according to the invention can be connected to one another due to the overlap.
Die Stirnenden werden beimThe insulation board can be welded or shrink-wrapped into the foil by inserting the insulation board into a tube inflated by an air stream and then heating the tube from the outside. The tube is subject to a corresponding shrinkage, which can result in the foil being firmly attached to the surface of the insulation board. The front ends are
Schrumpfen entsprechend verschlossen. Shrinking seals it accordingly. Particularly with a thin film, it is also possible to connect the film to the front ends of the relevant hose section using a linear weld seam.
The covering of the insulation board according to the invention preferably takes place immediately after the insulation boards are separated from a continuously produced fiber strand. The insulation boards can thus be stored and transported to the place of use while already protected by the covering. The invention therefore also relates to an advantageous method for producing insulation boards.
The subclaims contain features that contribute to solving the inventive problem, simplify the manufacture and installation of the insulation board, reduce manufacturing costs and solve the moisture problems described above.

In der allgemein mit 1 bezeichneten Produktionsanlage werden Steine 2, Kalk 3 und Koks 4 auf einer mit einer Waage ausgerüsteten Fördereinrichtung 5 in einen Kupolofen 6 gefördert, in dem das Materialgemisch geschmolzen wird, und die Schmelze 7 einerIn the production plant generally designated 1, stones 2, lime 3 and coke 4 are conveyed on a conveyor 5 equipped with a scale into a cupola furnace 6, in which the material mixture is melted, and the melt 7 of a
In the spinning machine 8, the melt is sprayed into a so-called wool chamber 13 by means of a nozzle head 12 with the addition of a binding agent (at 9) and oil (at 11), from which a stored fiber strand 15 is conveyed by means of a conveyor device 14 and guided by means of further conveyor devices through a hardening oven 16 and then fed to a longitudinally and/or transversely effective separating device 17. During separation, the latter is moved forwards and then back again at the speed of the strand. In the direction of passage behind the separating device 17 there is a wrapping device 18, to which a film or a film tube 19 is fed and in which the bare insulation panels cut to size at the separating device 17 are wrapped in a plastic film 22, in particular welded and shrunk into it, then led out as finished insulation panels 21 and, if necessary, stacked.
Figures 2 and 3 show an insulation panel 21 covered on all sides by the film 22, which in the present embodiment is a flat panel with vertical side surfaces and a rectangular or square shape. However, the invention is not limited to such a panel shape. Insulation panels 21 in a shape that differs from a flat panel shape are also possible, whereby instead of vertical side surfaces, profiled side surfaces in the sense of a tongue and groove or a fold can also be present.
The insulation panels 21 thus covered can be laid on the building in an upright or flat position for thermal or sound insulation.
The embodiment of the insulation panel 21 according to Fig. 4 differs from the previously described embodiment in that two sides extending from a corner of the insulation panel 21 and thus facing transversely to one another, here the side designated 23 and the side in front of or behind it (not shown), are each firmly covered with an adhesive strip 24 which is covered by a removable protective strip 25. The protective strip 25 is removed immediately before installation. Due to the lateral bonding using the adhesive strips 24, the installed insulation panels 21 receive a stabilized bond.
5 and 6, the covering of the insulation board 21, generally designated 20, consists of a film 22a, which covers the top and the four side surfaces of the insulation board 21, and a vapor barrier film
522b, which covers the underside of the insulation board 21 and is welded to the side parts 22al of the film 22a. This provides the casing 20 with a typical vapor barrier film on the underside with corresponding properties of strength, abrasion resistance and vapor impermeability, which is thicker than the film 22a can be.
5
Preferably, the vapor barrier film 22b projects beyond the insulation panel 21 on at least two or several or all sides with an edge strip 22b1, which are connected to one another in one piece at their mutually facing ends. In the present embodiment, two edge strips 22b1 are provided on two sides 21a, 21b of the insulation panel 21, which start from a common corner and thus extend transversely to one another, with the edge strips 22b1 forming a common angle strip.
In the installed state according to Fig. 7, the adjacent insulation panels 21 rest on the edge strips 22b 1, whereby an overlap of the vapor barrier film parts 22b occurs in the area of the edge strips 22b 1. Due to this overlap and the support weight, a vapor barrier in the installed position is largely guaranteed.
The overlap is evident from the illustration showing a laid insulation board layer 26 according to Fig. 7. In the present embodiment, this layer 26 is located on a trapezoidal corrugated profile support 27 of a wall or a roof.
Preferably, the relevant dimension a of the equally sized insulation panels 21 is so large that the butt joints S and the edge strips 22b 1 always lie on a cover section 27a of the profile carrier 27.
bereits beschrieben.
30The film 22 or 22a can be perforated on the top and/or on one or all sides. The advantages that can be achieved in this way have already been described in the introduction to the description.
30
If the edge strips 22b 1 are arranged on more than two sides of the insulation board 21, there will be more edge strips lying on top of each other when installed, which is irrelevant for negligible reasons.
