Description
Gasverteiler für Schutzgasschweiß- und SchneidbrennerGas distributor for inert gas welding and cutting torches
The invention relates to a shielded gas welding and cutting torch and the gas distribution connected to the torch neck.
Aus G 93 01 103.2 und G 92 92 167.0 sind Lösungen zur Verminderung dieser Beeinträchtigung der Funktionsfähigkeit von Schutzgasschweiß- und Schneidbrennern bekannt, die einmal die mechanische Beanspruchbarkeit der Gasdüsenaufnahme durchInert gas welding and cutting torches are contaminated by the welding spatter that inevitably occurs during welding or cutting on the gas nozzle holder and therefore have to be cleaned or replaced more or less frequently, whereby previously the entire torch neck had to be replaced. Solutions to reduce this impairment of the functionality of inert gas welding and cutting torches are known from G 93 01 103.2 and G 92 92 167.0, which firstly increase the mechanical load capacity of the gas nozzle holder by
Both solutions aim to increase the service life of the burner, but cannot affect the quality of the weld seam.
The object of the invention is to design a shielded gas welding and cutting torch in such a way that the contact nozzle is not contaminated by welding spatter and the weld seam quality is also improved.
Dabei zeigenThe object of the invention is achieved in that the inner surface of the gas distributor encloses the current nozzle from the gas nozzle holder to the tip and the outer surface of the gas distributor is specially designed. The gas distributor is made of structural ceramic, which is particularly resistant to high temperatures. According to the invention, the gas distributor is arranged between the current nozzle and the gas nozzle and is screwed or screwed into the gas nozzle holder or the nozzle holder. The gas distributor is protected from the outside by the gas nozzle.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings.

Fig.l shows the variant with external thread 5 for screwing into the gas nozzle holder. From the tip of the gas distributor up to almost the area of the gas outlet holes A,
A number of conical longitudinal grooves 1 are arranged. Fig. 2 shows the arrangement of the longitudinal grooves 1 and the central bore 2 in relation to one another. The central bore 2 encloses the burner's current nozzle (not shown). The front side of the gas distributor according to the invention is flush with the gas nozzle or with a small projection or slightly set back, with the front surface of the gas distributor being flat or slightly convex. The gas distributor is made of structural ceramic, with the material being particularly suitable for high temperature loads.
The arrangement of the longitudinal grooves 1 causes the formation of an annular gap between the gas distributor and the gas nozzle and promotes the formation of a laminar gas flow with a closed annular gas curtain around the arc. This better shields the arc against atmospheric oxygen and inevitably improves the quality of the weld seam. The design of the front face of the gas distributor forms a very effective splash guard for the internal parts of the burner against welding spatter. A smaller version of the gas distributor is the gas distributor disc shown in Fig. 3. This is also made of structural ceramic and has any number of longitudinal grooves 1 on the outer surface. The outer surface is conical and thus guarantees a flush fit with the gas nozzle. A central bore 2 is arranged in the gas distributor disc, which tapers towards the front face and corresponds to the current nozzle opening of the burner (not shown) and is provided with an internal thread 3 up to the taper. With an internal thread 3, the gas distribution disc can be screwed onto the contact tip and easily replaced by a gas distribution disc with deeper or shallower longitudinal grooves 1. With the different design of the longitudinal grooves 1, the gas flow pattern of the burner can be freely selected in terms of shape and intensity and
In addition to protection against welding spatter, the weld seam quality is also influenced. The appropriate external thread is provided on the torch's current nozzle for use with the gas distribution disc.
