Description
The invention relates to a downpipe for rain collectors with the features in the preamble of the main claim.
In practice, it is known to provide downpipes for rain collection, especially gutters, with a lockable leaf barrier. The leaf barrier contains a "leaf strainer " with which the sludge washed up by rainwater is collected and returned. The leaf barrier is usually installed at a height that is easily accessible above the drainage system or the sewer connection for rainwater disposal. The leaf barrier should be opened from time to time, especially in autumn, and the collected leaves removed. If this is not done, there is a risk of the pipe becoming blocked, which will cause the rainwater to back up and collect in the downpipe. This can lead to leaks and damage to the downpipe, which is especially the case in winter when the accumulated water column freezes.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a downpipe that reduces the risk of backflow and draws attention to a pipe blockage.
The invention solves this problem with the features in the main claim.
DieThe inventive arrangement of a backwater opening on the downpipe has the advantage that if the pipe is blocked, the rainwater can only collect up to a certain harmless height and then flows out through the backwater opening. The water then runs off the outside of the downpipe and signals a pipe blockage. The
This significantly reduces the risk of damage to the downpipe. In addition, any cleaning and exposure of the downpipe can no longer be forgotten.

Bei einer Anordnung der Rückstauöffnung; ; . arranged, but can alternatively also be located in the closure of the leaf barrier. It is recommended to arrange it just above the leaf barrier so that the accumulated water column does not become so high. In winter , the leaf barrier can be removed more easily. If the backflow opening is arranged
The leaf barrier in the pipe wall can be opened without hindrance, which is particularly advantageous when ice forms.
% The backflow opening can be designed in different ways. To ensure that water only escapes in the event of backflow, it is recommended to install a nose that is set back into the interior of the pipe and open at the bottom. This serves as a deflector for the rainwater flowing down the downpipe and prevents it from escaping. The nose can be made particularly easily and inexpensively by making a cut in the pipe wall and embossing the wall in a wedge shape.
The downpipe according to the invention with the backwater opening is suitable for any type of rainwater collector or other water-carrying equipment where there is a risk of blockages and backwater due to particles being washed along. In the preferred design, the downpipe is connected to gutters. However, it can also be connected to a sister-like roof collector or the like. The leaf barrier can also be designed in different ways. In the preferred design, it is provided with a closure in the form of a sliding sleeve.
Im einseinen zeigenThe invention is shown in the drawings for example and Bohemia. In one,

Fig. 2 eine ungeschnittene Stirnansicht entsprechend Pfeil II von Fig. 1.Fig. 2 is an uncut front view according to arrow II of Fig. 1.
Fig. 1 and 2 show the lower section of a downpipe (1) which is connected at the top to a rain collector, in particular a gutter, and flows downwards into a drainage shaft or a sewer connection. The downpipe (1) is made of copper, galvanized steel or another suitable material.
The downpipe (1) is provided with a closable leaf barrier (5), which in the embodiment shown consists of a leaf barrier (6) that is accessible from above and/or from the side via a pipe cutout (7). The pipe cutout (7) can be opened and closed by a movable closure (8). In the embodiment shown, the closure (8) consists of a sleeve (9) that can be moved up and down along the downpipe (1), which covers the pipe cutout (7) with an overlap at the top and bottom and rests in a collar-shaped support sleeve (10) in the closed position. The support sleeve (10) is watertight and is firmly connected to the downpipe (1).
A backflow opening (2) is arranged in the pipe wall (4) at a distance above the leaf sieve (6). This is also located at a distance above the sleeve (9) in its closed position. The backflow opening (2) is preferably arranged at a height of 20 to 50 cm above the leaf sieve (6).
The backflow opening (2) leads from the inside of the pipe to the outside and, in the event of a pipe blockage in the area of the leaf barrier (S), allows the rainwater that accumulates and thaws to flow out of the downpipe (1) to the outside.
In the example shown, the drain opening (2) is surrounded by a triangular or wedge-shaped nose (3) that extends back into the pipe interior and is open at the bottom. The nose (3) widens downwards to drain the rainwater flowing down the downpipe (1) and only allows it to escape to the outside in the event of a backflow.
The backflow opening (2) and the nose (3) are formed by a horizontal cut (11) in the pipe wall (4) and an impression of the wall area above it. The downward-pointing nose opening is also created by the imprint or curvature of the pipe wall (4).
The leaf barrier (5) is used to hold back leaves washed away by rainwater or other large particles that should not end up in the drainage shaft or the sewer system. In autumn in particular, the leaf barrier (5) becomes clogged relatively quickly due to the large amount of leaves that accumulate and must be emptied at regular intervals. To do this, the sleeve (8) is pushed upwards and the pipe cutout (7) is exposed. The collected leaves can then be removed. The leaf slat (6), which rests on a ring-shaped bead or similar other retention device in the downpipe (1) , is also openly accessible and can be removed for cleaning purposes.
Sobald es in den Bereich der Ruckstauöffnung (2)If the leaf barrier (5) is not emptied in time, the leaves or other particles will block the downpipe (1) with the result that the rainwater flowing down can no longer flow away and backs up. As soon as it reaches the area of the backflow opening (2)

The outflow is clearly visible on the outside wall of the pipe and indicates a pipe blockage and backflow.
Alternatives to the embodiment shown are possible in various respects. Firstly, the leaf barrier (5) can be designed differently and, for example, have a closure in the form of a pivoting flap. The backflow opening can also be arranged in the closure, in the area of the pipe cutout. It can also be designed in a different way, for example as a ring channel accessible from below between an upper narrow pipe section and a lower wider pipe section. A backflow opening in the pipe wall does not necessarily have to have a nose-shaped deflector, but can also have a flanged opening wall or the like.
Another possible variant is a nose that protrudes outwards and is open at the top, which also only allows water to escape in the event of backflow.
