Description
Process for the production of elastic fabrics or braids In many In some cases it is desirable to use elastic fabrics, e.g. B. for elastic bandages, for jumping beds and also for items of clothing. In clothing, this is elasticity especially then. necessary when they approach well, but still when they are put on and taken off shouldn't burst. So far only one knitted fabric fulfills the requirements for Production of sufficiently elastic sheet-like textile structures, so that in particular Stockings, underwear, bath linen and the like are mostly knitted or warp-knitted. The garments made in this way have sufficient elasticity to however, have two disadvantages. Once the yarn material used is not only heavily used during production, but also especially during use, because the loop strength is constantly stressed because of the knitted threads interlock like a hook. The loop strength for most synthetic fibers but is known to be considerably lower than the tear strength. The second disadvantage consists in .that the stitches in the event of minor damage to a conventional knitted fabric fall, the destruction of the fabric propagates in a straight line as extremely quickly. In contrast, means the possibility of producing fabrics with great elasticity great advantages with regard to the durability of the fabrics and garments produced. In the patent specification 87q.288 there is a method for producing elastic yarns described in the highly twisted yarns made from highly drawn cellulose acetate threads be subjected to complete or almost complete saponification.
Die Garne dürfen jedoch keine Kreppzwirnung haben. However, the yarns must not have a crepe twist.
It is known that crepe threads, including those made from little (up to 7o 1 / o) stretched acetate artificial silk threads, through slight sintering improved properties. to rent. However, this method does not lead to the results of patent 874,288. For making elastic fabrics it is not expedient to use the yarns produced according to the cited patent go out, since the weaving process with the warp and weft thread a strong tensile stress .represents a certain stretching of the threads: and the destruction of a part which results in elasticity.
It has now been found that it is possible to use elastic fabrics and, To produce braids by using highly twisted yarns to make them from highly stretched celluloseacetatifä @ den used and from. these manufactured Subjects tissue and braids to a complete or almost complete saponification.
The fabrics produced in this way have, in addition to those given to them, special Elasticity also increases strength and are therefore more than knitted in superior in one respect. Example Acetate stretched rayon made from cellulose acetate about the degree of polymerization. 2s1 to 290 (after S t a u d i n g e r) with .der Nm; 3o is provided with 91o turns S: and then twice with zoo turns Z twisted together. In each case after twisting can be used for the purpose of facilitating the further Processing (fixing of the twist) moistened and dried one or more times will. The yarn thus obtained is used for the warp thread.
Furthermore, draw acetate becomes about the same degree of polymerization from Nm, 2.4 brought to 85o turns S and then twice with 51o turns Z twisted together.
Es besitzt danach in der Kettrichtung eine elastische Dehnung von 121/o, in der Schußrichtung von 81l1.Moistening and drying to fix the thread can be as above described. Miatelis, the described yarn is made, a twill fabric, by using 261o threads of kea over a width of 1 m. The finished fabric lays man 24 to. 28 hours at room temperature in 25% ammonia, washed and dried it. It then has an elastic elongation of 121 / o in in the warp direction the weft direction of 81l1.
