Diese Aufgabe wird gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung dadurch gelöst« daß innerhalb der Tragestange eine Aus« zugstange verschiebbar gelagert und aus dem Anschlußstück an einem Ende der Tragestange teleskopartig herausziehbar ist. Eine solche Konstruktion hat den Vorteil, daß die Handtuchstange im unbenutzten Zustand eine nur geringe Baulänge aufweist, im Benutzungsfall aber auf eine größere Länge ausziehbar ist. Vor allem aber erstreckt sich die Auezugstange dann nicht - wie die koaxiale Trägestange - parallel zu dem Abtrennungeabschnitt, an dem sie befestigt ist, sondern ragt in den Raum vor dem übereck anschließenden anderen Abtrennungsabschnitt. Die gesamte Handtuchstange ist insbesondere derart ausgebildet, daß die Anschlußstücke der Tragestange an Tragholmen einer feststehenden Trennwand einer Dusch- oder Badewannenabtrennung befestigbar sind.
