Cylinder for slot-controlled two-stroke internal combustion engine The I? Rfinduitg enters a cylinder for one

In the previously known Zvlimin this type
the Viit- Lind outlet ducts open into a zvlin-

rings inserted. In the area of the mouth of the

turned ring surface. in which the inlet ducts
open out and to the outside is connected to a cylinder surface running parallel to the cylinder axis, which rests in a bore in the machine frame, expediently with the interposition of a ring seal. In this way, the mouths of the inlet channels are separated from the mouths of the outlet channels, so that they can be sealed independently of the inlet channels. If, in a further embodiment of the invention, the exhaust ducts are formed by connecting pieces which are led to the outside through an opening in the machine frame. in this way the exhaust pipes can be connected to the cylinder in a simple manner directly with the interposition of a seal.

of the invention shown for example.

partially cut when viewed from the side; Fig. 2 shows the cylinder of that
the side facing away from the exhaust ducts partially cut along the line II-II
of fig. i.

The cylinder shown in the drawing is one with air cooling.
However, the invention is not limited to air-cooled cylinders, but applies
in the same way for water-cooled cylinders, for example with a
own cooling jacket are provided. The rinsing slots of the cylinder are marked with i and
the exhaust ports are designated by 2. The inlet channels close to the flushing slots i

The cylinder is held in the 'machine frame 5 so as to be displaceable. Of the
The cylinder has an outer wall that surrounds it and runs transversely to the cylinder axis,
from the cylinder head 6 facing away from the annular surface 7, in which the inlet channels open out.
To the ring surface; a parallel to the cylinder axis closes on the outside
Cylinder surface 8 which rests in a bore 9 of the machine frame 5. For the purpose of
Sealing, the cylinder flange 8 is surrounded by a ring seal. The exhaust duct: iIe
4 are formed by connecting pieces i i through an opening 12 in the machine frame
; are led to the outside. The exhaust pipe 13 is directly connected to the nozzle i i
connected with the interposition of a seal 14. The scavenging air is the scavenging channels
3 by one in the machine frame below the cylinder surface; lying scavenge air sensor
15 supplied.
Auspuffseite
des Zvlinclers wieder ins Freie.According to the invention, the distance between the ring surface is; from the exhaust ducts
, 4 so large that between these and the annular surface; still attached cooling fins i6
can be. In this way the ring seal is protected against excessive heating
protected. Loss of flushing pen is therefore not to be feared. In addition, is
but also by the arrangement of the cooling fins 16 of the cylinder in the area of the lower
The dead center position of the piston 17 is better cooled. So that the cooling air can freely enter
to the portion of the cylinder's exhaust ports through the inlet ports that are drawn down
is not disturbed, the inlet channels 3 are free of cooling fins on the outside. These are
for the purpose of cooling the cylinder is not necessary at this point, because the cylinder
is sufficiently cooled by the scavenging air in the area of the scavenging channels. The one shown
The cylinder is suspended in the area of its cylinder head 6 in the machine frame.
The walls 18 of the machine frame also serve as guide walls for guidance
the cooling air. This occurs on the cylinder side opposite the exhaust ports: I
into the machine frame, cools the cylinder and flows on the. Exhaust side
of the Zvlinclers back into the open.
