Description

Process for the production of binders for the production of covering materials The use of unsaturated is known Mineral oil products that have drying properties own, for the production of lacquers and paints. The films obtained from such products are very little elastic and very often four-brittle. A slight improvement can be achieved by melting or redeeming saturated or un- reach saturated high polymers. So far it has practically not succeeded more than .5% of such substances, and only proportionally to use low polymer substances. Consequently the effects achieved remained minor. From all the- For these reasons one had to avoid using this Substances as binders for floor coverings so far refrain. According to the invention, however, it is possible to made, high-polymer plastics, especially special high polymer polybutadiene to be called purpose and thereby the elastic The strength and strength of the product are essential to increase. The invention is essentially based on that unsaturated mineral oil products of an air oxidation are subject to them and before or high polymer plastics during oxidation, especially high-polymer Pol3 # butadiene to are added to the stated purpose, whereby the pro- percentage of additives now up to 30,010 increases «- can earth. The addition of poly- butadiene, polyisoprene or natural rubber pointed, whereby one through subsequent networking with 1 to 100 per cent of sulfur or sulfur chloride can improve the elasticity of the products still further.

The following composition, for example, has proven to be particularly suitable Proven: 80 parts unsaturated mineral oil, 12 parts high molecular weight for synthetic Rubber and 8 parts of an oxidation accelerator such as lead naphthenic acid.

Except for floor coverings, the new binder can be used naturally also for other purposes, e.g. B. use for table and wall mounts.
