Eigenschaften
herstellen. So hängt z.
Process for the production of rubber-like copolymers
It has been found that high-quality rubber-like compositions can be obtained by
that one butadiene or isoprene in a mixture with mono- or polyolefin benzenes of
the type of styrene, divinolbenzene, etc. and their core or side chain homologues
polymerized by an emulsion process, or mixtures of the partially
polymerized hydrocarbons or cream mixtures of only partially polymerized
Butadiene or isoprene with olefin benzenes or of partially polymerized olefin benzenes
further polymerized with butadiene or isoprene also according to an emulsion process,
the latter hydrocarbons or their unfinished polymers in excess
must be present. These produced by emulsion polymerization. Copolymers
are hbch @ vertige rubber-like products, which are mechanically, z. B.
on rollers, the mixtures produced are significantly superior. The polymerization
can by the most diverse emulsion processes using the most diverse
Emulsifying agents and in the presence or absence of others in emulsion polymerizations
effective additives, such as. B. Oxidizing agents, neutral or acidic electrolytes
etc., depending on the additives and conditions of the polymerization process
modifications of the copolymers which differ from one another are obtained. Instead of
Of the chemically pure olefin benzenes, the cheaper technical ones can optionally also be used
Mixed products are used in which the substances mentioned in addition to other accompanying substances
are included. By varying the proportions of the mixture components
copolymers can be made of different and yet specific. properties
produce. So e.g. B. the elasticity of the copolymers significantly
the proportion of the rubber hydrocarbon content in the mixture and
grows with the latter. The copolymers can after addition of sulfur
or. other known vulcanizing agents, plasticizers, vulcanization accelerators,
Dyes, etc. vulcanized and in the form of their vulcanizates for the production of
Soft and hard rubber articles, e.g. B. for vehicle tires, conveyor belts,
Drive belts, seals, surface linings, etc., can be used.
herzustellen. The new process is characterized by great - simplicity and the ability to vary
and allows, within wide limits, products with properties desired in practice
to manufacture.
Beispiel
B. stearinsaurem
Beispiel e i 2o Gewichtsteile
In the patent 373 639 a method for the production of gutta-percha-like is
Products
described, which i.a. by polymerization of mixtures of certain butadiene hydrocarbons
and other polymerizable compounds are to be obtained. In contrast
the subject of the present process is the production of high-quality rubber-like
Polymers which are described in more detail in accordance with those described in the patent mentioned
Conditions are not available. In particular, from the above patent
the particular value of using emulsion processes in the manufacture of rubbery ones
Do not remove copolymers from the claimed mixture components. That
the same applies to the processes of the French patent specification 459 134, the German one
Patent specification 278 486 and British patent specification 17 193j13, from which also
the great value of the present particular process cannot be seen. example
100 parts by weight of butadiene are mixed with 50 parts by weight of styrene. The mixture
is mixed with a solution of 15 parts by weight of an emulsifying agent (e.g. stearic acid
Sodium) is emulsified in 50 parts by weight of water and polymerized at rest or in motion.
After a few days a synthetic latex is obtained, which after work-up
in good yield a plastic, readily rollable copolymer provides that through
suitable vulcanization in high quality vulcanizates of soft rubber properties
transforms. If you use a mixing ratio of I3o parts by weight with this approach
Butadiene and 20 parts by weight of styrene, a copolymer of good quality is obtained
Quality whose vulcanizates are highly elastic. Example e i 2o parts by weight
Butadiene and 3o parts by weight of styrene are mixed with a solution of 7.5 parts by weight
Glue and 7.5 parts by weight of mono- or diisobutylnaphthalenesulfonate in sodium
i 50 parts by weight of water emulsified and at rest or in motion at about so
polymerized up to 60 °. After a few days you get a mostly solid
Form resulting mixed polymer with high quality soft rubber properties.
Good quality rubbers are also obtained if e.g. B. a mixture
of 10 parts by weight of butadiene, 2o parts by weight of 2 # 3-Di @ methylbutadiene and
20 parts by weight of styrene or a mixture of 113 parts by weight of isoprene and 37
Parts by weight of styrene polymerized in the manner indicated above.

Beispiel 4 So Gewichtsteile
6Gewichsteilen Diäthylaminoäthoxyoleylanili"dchlorhydrat in 6o Gewichtsteilen Wasser

A latex-like product is obtained from which a plastic rubber with high-quality soft rubber properties is obtained by coagulation. Example 4 So parts by weight of butadiene and 1 5 parts by weight of a-methyl lstyrol with a solution of 6Gewichsteilen Diäthylaminoäthoxyoleylanili "dchlorhydrat in 6o parts by weight of water emulsified and beietwa4o ° polymerized.
