Description

Cooling of the injection valves in internal combustion engines operated with heavy fuel oil The invention relates to a cooling of the injection valves with one in the circuit coolant passed through their cold rooms via a recooler, e.g. B. gas oil Internal combustion engines. The invention consists in this. that the dry cooler for the coolant of the injection valves in the cooling water flow of the machine downstream of the outlet the same is arranged from the cold stores. -By this arrangement of the dry cooler a special coolant flow for the same is saved. At the same time it is achieved that the minimum temperature of the injectors does not fall below that of the cooling water of the The machine sinks, so that the injection valves in machines operated with heavy fuel oils can be kept at a certain temperature even when idling the that; Heavy oil is the thin liquid required for proper operation having.

The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown as planned.

The fuel injection valves a1 to at are switched on in a manner known per se with their cooling chambers in its cooling circuit b. The coolant, preferably gas oil, is circulated and arrives in circuit b by a pump c; after it has flowed through the injection valves, into a dry cooler d. The recooler d is arranged in the cooling water flow of the machine / behind its outlet from the cooling chambers, so that the coolant for the injection valves is recooled by the machine cooling water. Since the cooling water circulation of the machine is usually regulated in a heat-sensitive manner or is subject to constant supervision in order to keep the cooling water at the temperature of 6o to 8o 'required for economical operation of the machine, it is ensured at the same time that: the injection valves do not assume a lower temperature can, which is advantageous when the machine is operated with heavy fuel oil, as it cannot become viscous within the injection valve and the valve can stick together even during prolonged idling operation.

In machines with throughflow cooling, the dry cooler d is always behind the cooling water outlet from the machine. For machines with a closed The recooler can also circulate cooling water at a "different point in the circuit be arranged, e.g. B. before the entry of the cooling water into the machine, because too the temperature of the recooled machine cooling water is still sufficiently above the temperature where the Sch-veröl becomes viscous.
