Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung, die eine Squariliumverbindung enthält. Da die fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung eine hohe Empfindlichkeit gegenüber sichtbarem Licht mit einer Wellenlänge von nicht weniger als 600 nm bis hin zum nahen infraroten Licht aufweist, eignet sie sich als eine rotlichtempfindliche Verbindung in sichtbaren Laseraufzeichnungsmaterialien, wie PS Platten für die direkte Druckplattenherstellung mittels Laser, trockene Schutzfilme, digitale Korrekturfahnen und Hologramme, und panchromatische lichtempfindliche Materialien, wie lichtempfindliche Hologrammfarbstoffe, lichtempfindliche Stoffe zur vollständigen Farbkennzeichnung, welche eine fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung in einer Mikrokapsel enthalten, sowie lichtempfindliche Stoffe wie Beschichtungsmittel und Klebstoffe, für die Lichtquellen mit sichtbarem bis zu nahem Infrarotlicht verwendet werden.
- Eine fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung, die eine Squariliumverbindung als sensibilisierenden Farbstoff und eine S-Triazinverbindung als Radikalerzeuger verwendet, ist in JP-A 2-48665, JP-A 2-229802, JP-A 2-306247, JP-A 4-106548 und JP-A 5-5005 offenbart.
- Bekannt sind eine fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung, in der eine Squariliumverbindung als Farbstoff zur Sensibilisierung und ein Aziniumsalz als Radikalerzeuger verwendet wird (zum Beispiel JP-A 63-142346), eine fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung, in der Hexaarylbisimidazol verwendet wird (zum Beispiel JP-A 5-27436), bzw. eine fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung, in der ein Metall-Allen Komplex (zum Beispiel JP-A 5-17525) verwendet wird.
- In JP-A- 63138345, JP-A 63-142346 und JP-A 2-48665 ist offenbart, dass eine Benzoindoleniumsalzverbindung, dargestellt durch die obige Formel (A), eine maximale Absorptionswellenlänge bei 673 nm besitzt. Obwohl sie verschiedene rote Laser, wie zum Beispiel He-Ne-Laser, Kr-Laser, kurzwelige Halbleiterlaser aufgrund der oben erwähnten Eigenschaft wirksam sensibilisieren kann, besteht bei der Benzoindoleniumsalzverbindung ein Problem darin, dass aufgrund ihrer geringen Löslichkeit in organischen Lösungsmitteln und Monomeren in einer Fotosensibilisatorlösung keine höhere Konzentration erreicht werden kann, und deshalb die Verwendung von Lösungsmitteln mit geringer Toxizität, wie zum Beispiel Methylethylketon, beschränkt ist. Da die sie sich im Dunkeln sehr leicht zersetzt, selbst wenn das Licht in der Fotosensibilisatorlösung gefiltert wird, besteht bei der Benzoindoleniumsalzverbindung weiterhin ein Problem darin, dass die Fotosensibilisatorlösung im roten Bereich entfärbt wird und die Lichtempfindlichkeit der Lösung gegenüber rotem Licht innerhalb kurzer Zeit erheblich abgesenkt wird.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung, welche eine Squariliumverbindung der Formel (I):
- in welcher R einen Niederalkylrest mit 2 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt, einen Radikalbildner und eine additionspolymerisierbare Verbindung mit mindestens einer ethylenisch ungesättigten Doppelbindung umfasst.
- Gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung wird ebenfalls eine Squariliumverbindung der Formel (Ia) zur Verfügung gestellt:
- in welcher Ra eine Propyl-, Isopropyl-, Isobutyl-, Pentyl-, Isopentyl-, oder Hexylgruppe darstellt.
- Nachstehend werden Verbindungen der Formeln (I) und (Ia) entsprechend als "Verbindung (I)" und "Verbindung (Ia)" bezeichnet. Das gleiche gilt für die Verbindungen mit anderen Formelzahlen.
- In der Definition der Formel (I) sind unverzweigte oder verzweigte Alkylreste, wie Ethyl-, Propyl-, Isopropyl-, Butyl-, Isobuty-, sec-Butyl-, tert-Butyl-, 2-Ethylbutyl-, Pentyl, Isopentyl-, Neopentyl-, 3-Ethylpentyl-, tert-Pentyl-, Hexyl-, Isohexyl-, Heptyl- und Octylgruppen Beispiele für die Niederalkylreste mit 2 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen.
- Das Verfahren zur Darstellung der Verbindung (I) ist nachfolgend beschrieben:
- (In den Formeln hat R die selbe Bedeutung wie oben definiert und X steht ihr Halogen oder p- Toluolsulfonyloxy)
- Wie nachstehend beschrieben steht Halogen für Chlor, Brom oder Jod.
- Eine rohe Verbindung (II) kann gemäß einem in Monatsh. Chem. 31, 123 (1910) beschriebenen Verfahren oder einem dazu ähnlichen Verfahren gewonnen werden.
- Die Verbindung (III) kann durch die Umsetzung von Verbindung (II) mit einer äquivalenten oder einer stark überschüssigen Menge der Verbindung RX in einem Lösungsmittel oder ohne Lösungsmittel unter Erhitzen über 1 bis 24 Stunden dargestellt werden. Beispiele für die zu verwendenden Lösungsmittel sind Methyl-isobutylketon, Diisobutylketon, Xylol, Toluol und Butanol.
- Die Verbindung (T) kann durch die Umsetzung von Verbindung (III) mit 0,5 Äquivalenten der Verbindung (IV) bei 90 bis 110ºC über 1 bis 24 Stunden in einem Lösungsmittel in Gegenwart von 1 bis 2 Äquivalenten einer basischen Verbindung gewonnen werden. Beispiele für die basische Verbindung sind Triethylamin, Chinolin, und Pyridin. Beispiele für die Lösungsmittel sind Alkohole wie Ethanol, Butanol, Isobutylalkohol, Pentanol, Hexanol, Heptanol und Octanol sowie Gemische der oben genannten Alkohole und einem aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoff, wie Benzol, Toluol oder Xylol.
- Im oben aufgeführten Verfahren können die Zwischenverbindungen und die gewünschten Produkte mit Hilfe von Reinigungsverfahren, welche gemeinhin in der organisch-präparativen Chemie verwendet werden, wie Filtrieren, Extrahieren, Waschen, Trocknen, Konzentrieren, Kristallisieren und verschiedene Arten der Chromatographie isoliert und gereinigt werden. Alternativ können Zwischenverbindungen im nächsten Reaktionsschritt ohne Reinigung eingesetzt werden.
- Die Verbindung (I) kann in Form von Kristallen, die die Verbindung (I) sowie ein organisches Lösungsmittel, wie Benzol, Toluol oder Xylol umfassen, erhalten werden und diese Kristalle können als die vorliegende Squariliumverbindung verwendet werden.

- Die fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung wird nachstehend erläutert werden.
- Die fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung kann durch Mischen von Verbindung (I), einem Radikalbildner und einer additionspolymerisierbaren Verbindung (nachstehend auch als "ethylenische Verbindung" bezeichnet) mit mindestens einer ethylenisch ungesättigten Doppelbindung, wenn erforderlich, einem Bindemittel und von gebräuchlichen Zusatzstoffen (wie thermische Polymerisationsinhibitoren und Weichmacher) hergestellt werden.
- Beispiele für den Radikalbildner sind s-Triazinverbindungen, die mit mindestens einer Trihalomethylgruppe (wie 2,4,6-Tris(trichlormethyl)-s-triazin, 2-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-4,6- bis(trichlormethyl)-s-triazin und 2-(4-Methoxy-1-naphthyl)-4,6-bis(trichlormethyl)-s-triazin) substituiert sind; organische Peroxidverbindungen (wie 3,3',4,4'-Tetrakis(tertbutyldioxycarbonyl)benzophenon); N-Phenyiglicine (wie N-Phenylglycin, p-Chloro-N- phenylglycin und m-Methyl-Nphenylglycin); aromatische Sulfonylhalogenidverbindungen (wie Benzolsulfonylchlorid und p-Toluolsulfonylchlorid); Dimere des Imidazols (wie 2,2'- Bis-(o-chlorphenyl)-4,4',5,5'-tetraphenylbiimidazol), Metall-Allen-Komplexe (wie (η&sup6;- Benzol)(η&sup5;-Cyclopentadienyl)-eisen(II)-hexafluoraphosphat und Fluoraryl-titanocen); Diaryljodoniumsalz (wie 8-Anilinonaphthalen-1-Sulfonsäure-diphenyljodoniumsalz); Triarylsulfoniumsalz; verzweigte Polyethylenimine; Alkyl- oder Arylborat (wie Tetrabutylammonium-triphenylbutyl-borat); aromatische Ketone (wie Thioxanthon); Acetophenone (wie Benzoinether, Benzyldimethylketal und ähnliche); Diketone; Acyloximerster; Schwefelverbindungen (wie Thiol und Disulfid). Das vorliegende Fotopolymerisationsinitiatorsystem ist aus einer Squariliumverbindung und einem Radikalbildner zusammengesetzt. Die Menge an Radikalbildner zur Verwendung in dem Fotopolymerisationsinitiator beträgt 0,1 bis 100 Gewichtsteile (nachstehend wird (Gewichtsteil(e) mit "Teil(e") bezeichnet), vorzugsweise 1-50 Teile bezogen auf einen Teil der Squariliumverbindung.
- Beispiele für die ethylenische Verbindung können alle Verbindungen sein, die mindestens eine ethylenisch ungesättigte Doppelbindung besitzen, welche mit Hilfe von Radikalen eine Additionspolymerisation eingehen, die erzeugt werden, wenn die fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung dem Licht ausgesetzt wird und die eine Hiirtung und eine Unlöslichkeit der fotopolymerisierbaren Zusammensetzung hervorrufen. Zum Beispiel werden Monomere und Oligomere mit mindestens einer ethylenisch ungesättigten Doppelbindung in der Haupt- oder Seitenkette alleine oder in Kombination miteinander verwendet.
- Beispiele des Monomers mit mindestens einer ethylenisch ungesättigten Doppelbindung sind ungesättigte Carbonsäuren, Ester von ungesättigten Carbonsäuren und Monohydroxyverbindungen, Ester von ungesättigten Carbonsäuren und aliphatischen Polyhydroxyverbindungen, Ester von ungesättigten Carbonsäuren und aromatischen Polyhydroxyverbindungen und Ester, welche durch eine Veresterung einer ungesättigten Carbonsäure, einer mehrwertigen Carbonsäure und Polyhydroxyverbindungen erhalten wurden.
- Beispiele der ungesättigten Carbonsäure sind Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure, Itaconsäure, Crotonsäure und Maleinsäure.
- Beispiele für den Ester der ungesättigten Carbonsäure und der Monohydroxyverbindung sind Acrylate wie Methylacrylat, Butylacrylat, 2-phenoxyethylacrylat, p-Chlorphenylacrylat, 2-(1-Naphthyloxy)ethylacrylat, o-Biphenylacrylat, Pentachlorphenylacrylat, 2,4,6- Tribromphenylacrylat, 2-Naphthylacrylat, 2-(2-Naphthyloxy)ethylacrylat, Trifluorethylacrylat, Tetrafluorpropylacrylat, Dibrompropylacrylat, Ethyl-2-chloracrylat und Tetrahydrofurfurylacrylat, sowie Verbindungen, worin in den obigen Acrylaten ein Acrylsäurerest durch einen Methacrylsäurerest ersetzt ist und Derivate davon.
- Beispiele für den Esters aus einer ungesättigten Carbonsäure und einer aliphatischen Polyhydroxyverbindung sind Acrylate, wie Ethylenglycoldiacrylate, Triethylenglycoldiacrylat, Tetraethylenglycoldiacrylat, Propylenglycoldiacrylat, Neopentylglycoldiacrylat, 1,3-Butandioldiacrylat, 1,4-Ccyclohexandioldiacrylat, Hexandioldiacrylate, Trimethylolpropantriacrylat, Trimethylolethantriacrylat, Trimethylolpropan-tris(acryloyloxypropyl)ether, Pentaerythritoldiacrylat, Pentaerythritoltriacrylat, Pentaerythritoltetraacrylat, Dipentaerythritoldiacrylat, Dipentaerythritoltriacrylat, Dipentaerythritoltetraacrylat, Dipentaerythritolpentaacrylat, Dipentaerythritolhexaacrylat, Glycerolacrylat, Sorbitoltriacrylat, Sorbitoltetraacrylat, Sorbitolpentaacrylat und Sorbitolhexaacrylat sowie Verbindungen, worin ein Acrylsäurerest durch einen Methacrylsäurerest ersetzt ist, sowie Itaconate, Crotonate und Maleinate der aliphatischen Polyhydroxyverbindung.
- Beispiele für den Ester einer ungesättigten Carbonsäure und der aromatischen Polyhydroxyverbindung sind Hydrochinondiacrylat, Hydrochinondimethacrylat, Resorcindiacrylat, Resorcindimethacrylate und Pyrogalloltriacrylat, sowie Ester einer ungesättigten Carbonsäure und eines Derivats einer aromatischen Polyhydroxyverbindung, wie EO-modifiziertes Bisphenol-A-diacrylate und Tris(β-acryloyloxyethyl)-s-cyanurate.
- Beispiele des Esters, der durch eine Veresterung der ungesättigten Carbonsäure, der mehrwertigen Carbonsäure und der Polyhydroxyverbindung gewonnen wird, sind ein Kondensationsprodukt aus Acrylsäure, Phthalsäure und Ethylenglycol, ein Kondensationsprodukt aus Acrylsäure, Maleinsäure und Diethylenglycol, ein Kondensationsprodukt aus Methacrylsäure, Terephthalsäure und Pentaerythritol, ein Kondensationsprodukt aus Acrylsäure Adipinsäure, Butandiol und Glycerin, ein Kondensationsprodukt aus Acrylsäure, Trimellitsäure und Diethylenglycol.
- Weitere Beispiele des Monomers oder des Oligomers, das mindestens eine ethylenisch ungesättigte Doppelbindung besitzt und in der vorliegenden Erfindung verwendet wird, sind Acrylamide wie Ethylenbisacrylamid, Allylester wie Diacrylphthalat und Prepolymer davon, Vinylgruppen-enthaltende Verbindungen wie Divinylphthalat, Urethanacrylat wie ein Kondensationsprodukt aus Glycerindimethacrylat und Hexamethylendiisocyanat, N- Vinylcarbazol, und N-Vinylpyrrolidon.
- Beispiele für das Polymer, das eine ethylenisch ungesättigte Doppelbindung in einer Hauptkette besitzt, sind Polyester aus der Polykondensation einer ungesättigten, zweiwertigen Carbonsäure und einer Dihydroxyverbindung, Polyamide aus einer Polykondensation von einer ungesättigten zweiwertigen Carbonsäure und einem Diamin.
- Beispiele für das Polymer, das eine ethylenisch ungesättigte Doppelbindung in einer Seitenkette besitzt, sind Polykondensationsprodukte einer mehrwertigen Carbonsäure mit einer ungesättigten Bindung in einer Seitenkette, wie Itaconsäure, Propylidenbernsteinsäure, Ethylidenemalonsäure und einer Dihydroxy- oder Diaminverbindung. Alternativ, können Polymere mit einer funktionellen Gruppe in der Seitenkette, wie einer Hydroxygruppe, einer halogenierten Methylgruppe oder einer Epoxidgruppe eingesetzt werden, wie ein Polymer, das aus einer polymeren Umsetzung von Polyvinylalkohol, Poly(2-hydroxyethylmethacrylat), Epoxidharz oder Phenoxyharzpolyepichlorohydrin mit einer ungesättigten Carbonsäure wie Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure oder Crotonsäure erhalten wird.
- Beispiele für das Bindemittel sind ein Polymethacrylat oder partielles Hydrolysat davon, ein Polyacrylat oder partielles Hydrolysat davon, Polyvinylacetat oder ein partielles Hydrolysat davon, ein Vinylacetatethylencopolymer oder ein partielles Hydrolysat davon, Polystyrol, Polyvinylformal, Polyvinylbutyral, Polychloropren, Polyvinylchlorid, chloriertes Polyethylen, chloriertes Polypropylen, Phenol-Novolak- oder Kresol-Novlak-Harz, Polyvinylphenol, Vinylphenol-Methacrylat-Copolymer, Polyethylenoxid, Polymethylisopropenyl-keton, Methacrylat-phenyl-isopropenyl-keton-Copolymer, Polyurethan, Polyamid, Polycarbonat, Polyethylenterephthalat, Polybutylenterephthalat, Acetylcellulose, Acetylbutylcellulose, Nitrocellulose, Polyvinylcarbazol oder ein Derivat davon, ein Vinylcarbazol-Styrol-Copolymer, ein Vinylcarbazol-Methacrylat-Copolymer, ein Vinylcarbazol-Acrylat Copolymer, Polyvinylpyrrolidon oder ein Derivat davon, ein Vinylpyrrolidon-Styrol-Copolymer, ein Vinylpyrrolidon-Methacrylat-Copolymer, ein Vinylpyrrolidon-Acrylate-Copolymer, und ein Styrol-Maleinsäure(Monoester)- Copolymer, sowie ein Copolymer, das aus mindestens zwei Bauteilen gebildet wird, die aus copolymersierbaren Monomeren wie Acrylaten, Acrylsäure, Methacrylaten, Methacrylsäure, Maleinsäure(anhydrid), Acrylnitril, Acrylamid, Styrol, Vinylacetat, Vinylchlorid, Vinylidenchlorid, Butadien, Isopren und Chloropren ausgesucht werden.
- Beispiele für den thermischen Polymerisationsinhibitor sind p-tert-Butylcatechol, Hydrochinon und Chloranyl.
- Beispiele für den Weichmacher sind Diethylhexylphthalat, Diisobutylphthalat, Tricresyl- Phosphat, Diethylhexylcebacate und Diethylhexyladipate.
- Der Mengenanteil der Squariliumverbindung sowie des Radikalbildners, der in der fotopolymerisierbaren Zusammensetzung eingesetzt wird, liegt bei 0,1 bis 30 Teilen, vorzugsweise bei 0,5 bis 5 Teilen bzw. bei 1 bis 50 Teilen, vorzugsweise bei 2 bis 30 Teilen bezogen jeweils auf 100 Teile der ethylensichen Verbindung.
- Die Menge des eingesetzten Bindemittels beträgt 10 bis 1000 Teile, vorzugsweise 60 bis 200 Teile bezogen auf 100 Teile der ethylenischen Verbindung
- Anschließend wird die Löslichkeit der in der vorliegenden Erfindung verwendeten Squariliumverbindung in einem organischen Lösungsmittel durch Testbeispiele gezeigt.
- In ein 20 ml Glasgefäß wurden 5 ml Ethylcellosolve gegeben sowie eine Squariliumverbindung bis zu einer Menge, dass etwas von dieser Squariliumverbindung ungelöst blieb. Nachdem die Kristalle der Squariliumverbindung mit einem Ultraschallreinigungsgerät 10 Minuten zerkleinert worden waren, wurde die Mischung 20 Stunden mit einem Rührer gerührt. Nachdem die ungelösten Kristalle der Squariliumverbindung durch Filtration entfernt worden waren und das Filtrat x-fach mit Chloroform verdünnt worden war, wurde die Absorption der im Bereich von 600 bis 700 nm vorhandenen maximalen Absorptionswellenlänge mit einem Spektralfotometer gemessen. Die Löslichkeit der Squariliumverbindung in Ethylcellosolve wurde gemäß der folgenden Gleichung erhalten:

- Die Löslichkeit der Squariliumverbindung in Chlorbenzol wurde entsprechend dem gleichen Verfahren wie im Testbeispiel 1 erhalten, außer dass Chlorbenzol anstelle von Ethylcellosolve verwendet wurde. Die Löslichkeiten der Verbindungen 1 bis 9 sind als Relativwert bezogen auf den Standard der Löslichkeit der Verbindung (A) in Tabelle 3 dargestellt.

- Die Ausführungsformen der vorliegenden Erfindung werden durch die nachfolgenden Beispiele dargestellt.
- Die Verbindung 1 ist eine bekannte Verbindung, die in JP-A 3-126581 beschrieben ist, die Verbindung 4 ist eine bekannte Verbindung, die in JP-A 1-178493 beschrieben ist, und beide können entsprechend einem Verfahren, das in US 4,830,786 beschrieben ist, erhalten werden.
- Ein Gemisch aus 0,80 g 3,4-Dihydroxy-3-cyclobuten-1,2-dion, 5,99 g 2,3,3-Trimethyl-1- propyl-3H-benzo[e]indolium-p-toluolsulfonat aus Referenzbeispiel 1, 1,64 g Chinolin, 30 ml Butanol und 30 ml Benzol wurden 11 Stunden unter Rückfluß gerührt. Nach dem Aufkonzentrieren der Reaktionslösung wurden 30 ml Ethanol zum Rückstand hinzugegeben, gefolgt von einem 30 minütigem Erhitzen. Nach dem Abkühlen, wurden die Kristalle abfiltriert und im Vakuum getrocknet, um 2,07 g der Verbindung 2 zu ergeben.

Nach dem Aufkonzentrieren der Reaktionslösung wurde der Rückstand mittels Säulenchromatografie gereinigt, um 0,96 g der Verbindung 5 zu ergeben.

- Ein Gemisch aus 0,80 g 3,4-Dihydroxy-3-cyclobuten-1,2-dion, 6,40 g 2,3,3-Trimethyl-1- pentyl-3H-benzo[e]indolium-p-toluolsulfonat, 1,17 g Chinolin, 25 ml Butanol und 25 ml Benzol wurden 11 Stunden unter Rückfluß gerührt. Nach dem Aufkonzentrieren der Reaktionslösung wurde der Rückstand mittels Säulenchromatografie gereinigt, um 2,70 g der Verbindung 6 zu ergeben.

- Ein Gemisch aus 1,14 g 3,4-Dihydroxy-3-cyclobuten-1,2-dion, 9,03 g 1-Isopentyl-2,3,3- trimethyl-3H-benzo[e]indolium-p-toluolsulfonal, 3,10 g Chinolin, 15 ml Butanol und 30 ml o- Xylol wurden 3 Stunden unter Rückfluß gerührt. Nach dem Aufkonzentrieren der Reaktionslösung wurden der feste Niederschlag abfiltriert und im Vakuum getrocknet, um 4,69 g der Verbindung 8 zu ergeben.

- Ein Gemisch aus 1,14 g 3,4-Dihydroxy-3-cyclobuten-1,2-dion, 9,31 g 1-Hexyl-2,3,3- trimethyl-3H-benzo[e]indolium-p-toluolsulfonat, 3,10 g Chinolin, 15 ml Butanol und 30 ml o- Xylol wurden 3 Stunden unter Rückfluß gerührt. Nach dem Aufkonzentrieren der Reaktionslösung wurden 15 ml Ethanol zum Rückstand hinzugegeben, gefolgt von einem 30 minütigen Erhitzen. Die ausgefallenen Kristalle wurden abfiltriert und im Vakuum getrocknet, um 4,29 g der Verbindung 9 zu ergeben.

- 0,5 g Pentaerythritoltriacrylat, 0,5 g eines Butylmethacrylat-Acrylsäure-Copolymeren (gewichtsmittleres Molekulargewicht 3100, Copolymerisationsverhältnis 66 : 34), 60 mg 2,4,6- Tris-(trichlormethyl)-s-trianzin und 2 mg einer Squariliumverbindung wurden in Ethylcellosolve auf 25 ml gelöst um eine fotosensitive Harzlösung zu ergeben. Die Lösung wurde vorn Licht abgeschirmt und bei 40ºC für 3 Tage stehen gelassen. Die Absorption bei der maximalen Absorptionswellenlänge im Bereich von 600 bis 700 nm wurde mit einem Spektralfotometer vor (A1) und nach (A2) dem Stehenlassen gemessen. Die Abbaurate der Squariliumverbindung wurde gemäß der folgenden Gleichung erhalten:

- Die Abbauraten der Squariliumverbindungen 1 bis 9 sind in Form ihrer Relativwerte bezogen auf die Abbaurate der Verbindung (A) in der Tabelle 5 dargestellt.

- 0,5 g Pentaerythritoltriacrylat, 60 mg Polymethylmethacrylat (hergestellt von Aldrich; gewichtsmittleres Molekulargewicht 12.000), 90 mg (η&sup6;-Benzol)(η&sup5;-Cyclopentadienyl)- eisen(II)-hexafluorophosphat und 2 mg einer Squariliumverbindung wurden in Ethylcellosolve auf 25 ml gelöst um eine fotosensitive Harzlösung zu ergeben. Anschließend wurden die gleichen Verfahrensschritte wie im Beispiel 7 wiederholt, außer dass der Zeitraum zum Stehenlassen von 3 Tagen durch 32 Tage ersetzt wurde, um die Abbaurate der Squariliumverbindung zu ergeben. Die Abbauraten der Squariliumverbindungen 1 bis 9 sind in Form ihrer Relativwerte bezogen auf die Abbaurate der Verbindung (A) in der Tabelle 6 dargestellt.

- 100 Teile Pentaerythritoltriacrylat, 100 Teile eines Polymethacrylatpolymers [synthetisiert gemäß den Verfahren, die in Jikkenkagakukoza, Maruzen K. K., 4. Auflage, Band 28, Seite 121, 1992; Kobunshigosei no Jikkenho (Experimentelle Methoden zur Polymersynthese), Kagakudojin K. K., mit Takayuki Otsu und Masaetsu Kinoshita als Coautoren, Seite 138, 1972; beschrieben sind; mittleres Molekulargewicht 150.000; Methylester/Isobutylester/Cyclohexylester/freie Carbonsäure = 27/36/25/12], 7,9 Teile 2,4,6-Tris-(trichlormethyl)-s-trianzin und 1 Teil einer Squariliumverbindung wurden in 1900 Teile Ethylcellosolve gelöst, um eine fotosensitive Harzlösung zu ergeben. Diese fotosensitive Harzlösung wurde mittels der Spincoating-Technik bei 1000 Upm auf eine Aluminiumplatte aufgetragen, die durch Schleifen und einer anodischen Oxidation behandelt war, so dass die Schichtdicke in trockenen Zustand 2 um betrug. Darauf wurde eine 10%ige wässrige Polyvinylalkohollösung (Kuraray Poval 706) mittels Spincoating-Verfahren bei 1500 Upm aufgetragen, so dass die Schichtdicke in trockenen Zustand 1 um betrug und einen Überzug bildete. Ein Stufengestell wurde dicht über die so erzeugte fotosensitive Beschichtung aufgesteckt und die Strahlen mit einer Wellenlänge um 630, 650 und 680 nim wurden aus einer 3 kW Ultrahochdruck-Quecksilberlampe durch einen Glasfilter erzeugt. Die Strahlen mit einer Wellenlänge um 630 nm (155 uJ/cm² s) wurden erzeugt, indem die Strahlen aus der oben erwähnten Quecksilberlampe durch einen farbigen R-61-Glasfilter, einen KL-63 Interferenzfilter (beide wurden von Toshiba Glass Co., Ltd. hergestellt) und einen Wärmestrahlen absorbierenden HA-30-Filter (hergestellt bei HOYA Corporation) durchgeleitet wurden, die Strahlen mit einer Wellenlänge um 650 nm (177 uJ/cm² s) wurden erhalten, indem die Strahlen der oben erwähnten Quecksilberlampe durch einen gefärbten R- 63-Glasfilter, einen KL-65 Interferenzfilter (beide wurden von Toshiba Glass Co., Ltd. hergestellt) und HA-30 durchgeleitet wurden und die Strahlen mit einer Wellenlänge um 680 nm (88 uJ/cm² s) wurden erhalten, indem die Strahlen der oben erwähnten Quecksilberlampe durch einen R-66-Glasfilter, einen KL-68 Interferenzfilter (beide wurden von Toshiba Glass Co., Ltd. hergestellt) und HA-30 durchgeleitet wurden. Anschließend wurde die Entwicklung mit einem PS Plattenentwickler DN3C (hergestellt von Fujiphoto Film Co., Ltd.), der 1,5-fach mit destilliertem Wasser verdünnt war, durchgeführt, darauf wurde eine Druckfarbe mit einer PS-Plattenentwicklerdruckfarbe PI-2 (hergestellt von Fujiphoto Film Co., Ltd.) aufgetragen und die Empfindlichkeit wurde bewertet, indem ein Energiebetrag gemessen wurde, der zur Härtung ausgehend von einer Härtungsstufenzahl mit einer aufgetragenen Druckfarbe erforderlich war. Die Ergebnisse sind in der Tabelle 7 dargestellt. Tabelle 7
- Die Empfindlichkeit für den Fall, dass Strahlen mit der Wellenlänge um 630 nm eingestrahlt wurden, wurde ermittelt, indem die gleichen Verfahren wie in Beispiel 9 wiederholt wurden, außer dass 8 Teile (η&sup6;-Benzol)(η&sup5;-Cyclopentadienyl)-eisen(II)- hexafluorophosphat anstelle von 7,9 Teilen 2,4,6-Tris-(trichlormethyl)-s-trianzin und dass CABOSET, XL-44 (hergestellt von BF Goodrich) anstelle des Polymethacrylatpolymers (Methylester/Isobutylester/Cyclohexylester/freie Carbonsäure = 27/36/25/12) eingesetzt wurde. Die Ergebnisse sind in der Tabelle 8 dargestellt.

- Die Empfindlichkeit für den Fall, dass Strahlen mit der Wellenlänge um 630 nm eingestrahlt wurden, wurde ermittelt, indem die gleichen Verfahren wie in Beispiel 9 wiederholt wurden, außer dass 8 Teile 3,3',4,4'-Tetrakis-/tertbutyldioxycarbonyl)benzophenon anstelle von 7,9 Teilen 2,4,6-Tris-(trichlormethyl)-s- trianzin eingesetzt wurde. - Ein Gemisch aus 5,23 g 2,3,3-Trimethyl-3H-benzo[e]indol und 5,36 g Propyl-p- Toluolsulfonat wurde 2 Stunden auf 150ºC erhitzt. Nach dem Abkühlen wurde der Festkörper in dem Behälter mit Diethylether gewaschen und im Vakuum getrocknet, um 9,24 g eines Rohproduktes von 2,3,3-Trimethyl-1-propyl-3H-benzo[e]indolium-p-toluolsulfonat zu ergeben.
- Gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung kann eine fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung zur Verfügung gestellt werden, die eine Squariliumverbindung enthält, die hervorragend bezüglich der Löslichkeit in einem organischen Lösungsmittel ist und die stabil in einer fotoempfindlichen Lösung vorliegt, welche die hohe Empfindlichkeit bei sichtbarem Licht mit einer Wellenlänge von nicht weniger als 600 nm bis zum nahen infraroten Licht aufweist und die lagerstabil ist.
Claims (2)
1. Fotopolymerisierbare Zusammensetzung, welche eine Squariliumverbindung der
Formel (I):
in welcher R einen Niederalkylrest mit 2 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt, einen
Radikalbildner und eine additionspolymerisierbare Verbindung mit mindestens einer
ethylenisch ungesättigten Doppelbindung umfasst.
2. Squariliumverbindung der Formel (Ia):
in welcher Ra eine Propyl-, Isopropyl-, Isobutyl-, Pentyl-, Isopentyl-, oder
Hexylgruppe darstellt.
