Process for the production of ice colors by the printing or padding process The subject of the main patent 638 878 is a process for the production of ice colors by the printing or padding process. This process consists in printing or padding the fiber with mixtures of azo components and alkalis or of alkali salts of azoconipotients, of diazotizable amines, which should not be liquid, low-melting or volatile, and of alkali nitrites and, after drying, first for diazotization of the amine by acid and then for coupling by acid-binding agents. After Patent 4,070 condensation products of 2, 3-Oxynaphthoesäurearyliden be used with formaldehyde as azo components in this method.
Beispiel i Man mischt 311,2 Teile 4-(4.'-Methyl)-phenoxyacetylamino - 2"'5 - dimethoxy-1-
aminobenzöl, 232,2 Teile 1- (2', 3'-Oxynaphthoylamino)-3-nitrobenzol, 186 Teile
Natriumnitrit, 2 Teile Natriizmhydroxyd, 69,1 Teile kristallisiertes Natriumacetat

In a further development of these processes it was found that the removal of the acid after the diazotization of the amine, which is necessary to bring about the formation of the dye; not only by passing through acid-binding agents, but also, depending on the type of acid used, by hanging, slow drying or thorough rinsing of the printed goods with cold water. The new procedure is not restricted to the following examples and can also be used in examples 1 in the patents mentioned at the beginning. Example i 311.2 parts of 4- (4'-methyl) -phenoxyacetylamino-2 "'5-dimethoxy-1-aminobenzol, 232.2 parts of 1- (2', 3'-oxynaphthoylamino) -3-nitrobenzene are mixed , 186 parts of sodium nitrite, 2 parts of sodium hydroxide, 69.1 parts of crystallized sodium acetate or the corresponding amount of dehydrated sodium acetate and prepares a fine printing paste by carefully pasting 8 g of this mixture with 38 cc of water, 3 cc of Turkish red oil, 1 cc of glycerine, 3 cc of sodium hy Hydroxide solution of 34'B6 and 43g of neutral starch carrier thickening: The fabric is printed with the printing paste, dried, quickly drawn through a 2 percent aqueous hydrochloric acid solution containing 50 g of sodium chloride per liter, squeezed off and then rinsed with cold water for a short time until a real, pure, violet color has developed. This is followed by soaking at the boil. Ex.iel_2 273 parts 4, 4 .'-dichloro-2-amino-i, -i: -diphenyl ethers are mixed with 264.3 parts 1k2 oxynaphthoylamino) - 2-methoxyb parts Na trium nitrite, 2 parts of Na # t @ "11" ox d and B parts of crystalline cli4 . M # # Nä = '# trium acetate mixed well. The print is made as follows: '8 g of this mixture are,,; 3 h with 3 cc sodium hydroxide solution, 3 cc Turkish red oil, 37 cc water,;: 5 cc glycerine, 2 cc 4% formaldehyde solution in 42 g neutral starch thickening, very finely divided. Thereupon will; as indicated in Example i, worked, wherein excessively high temperature is advantageously avoided during drying. A pure, red color is obtained.
