Process for the production of two-wire barbed wire with outside
around the tufts that are tied together by stranding to form a tension wire
Barbed wire with two longitudinal wires has hitherto been produced in such a way that the wire tufts
must first be wrapped around a line wire, whereupon this with the second,
smooth line wire twisted, or in such a way that the bed @ eh line wires are twisted against each other
staggered places with tufts of thorns and then the longitudinal wires together
twisted. The barbed wire produced by this known method has
the significant disadvantage that when twisting the wires in the places where
the tufts sit, owing to the greater bulging of the wires, lenticular openings
arise between them, which hold the rainwater, creating a fast
Rusting of the wire is favored. To avoid this disadvantage is already
been proposed to strand the two longitudinal wires together and first
place the tufts of thorns around the outside of the braid. Have barbed wires of this type
but cannot introduce themselves because the tufts on the strand like nuts on one
Thread and you can therefore move them slightly while turning along the strand
can. The invention shows a way to the displacement of the tufts in such
To prevent tufts of thorns. In the case of single-wire barbed wires, this has already been suggested
been to prevent the displacement of the tufts by the fact that one of the thorn tufts
the enclosed part of the wire gives a bend. The transfer of this procedure
on two-wire barbed wire is practically impossible, because then you would have to
Make the M-tip length of each tuft at least twice as long as before, what
would lead to total inefficiency.
zwei in entgegengesetzter Richtung wirkende Biegewerkzeug e in Tätigkeit treten,
According to the invention, the tufts of prickles are thereby in both directions
prevented from shifting -that this can be prevented by stranding the two longitudinal wires
tension wire generated a small amount immediately in front of and behind each tuft of thorns
Deflection granted. These bends are made during the manufacture of the barbed wire
caused by the fact that behind. the winding device for the tufts of thorns
two bending tools acting in opposite directions come into operation,
one of which has two flex fingers and the other has one flex finger.

consists of two mutually movable parts d and e. Part d has two
Flex finger f and g, part e a flex finger h. The location of the bending tools
to the winding spindle or the tension wire is chosen so that when moving
the bending tools in the working position (Fig. 3) the bending finger f initially on
the just formed tuft c touches and thereby the tension wire a at its exit point
turn the winding spindle b into a bend at the bottom. The bending finger h Faber works from below
directly on the tension wire a, closely behind the tuft c. He granted
the tension wire a small bend, whereby the bending finger f serves as a counter-holder.
The tuft of thorns is this way in both directions. against postponement
secured, to the left by the kink of the tension wire at point i (Fig.
