Description
In the case of the machine for grinding non-round, hunched or dented hollow bodies or other bodies, described in patent 4 [3 185] This effect can be considerably improved by giving the workpiece an oblique position with respect to the polishing tools during its basal back and forth movement.
In the machine placed under protection, due to the constant grinding direction compared to other known methods, the disadvantage would arise that the polishing discs leave fine, barely visible streaks on the workpiece, which cause the objects reflected in the polished workpiece to have jagged contours obtained mirror image. In order to avoid this phenomenon, for example, hand grinding of the workers gives the workpiece a constantly changing inclination so that these fine lines cross each other so that the distortions in the mirror image are eliminated. This crossing of the lines is achieved mechanically by the device on which the concept of the invention is based, by a certain inclination of the axes, which is known per se in grinding machines. Fig. R shows a schematic representation of the front view, Fig. Z shows the side view of such a machine. The workpiece holder a. is located on a gear segment b and is set in rotary motion in a known manner by a rotating rod c, which is provided with two ball joints d, and is brought into a reciprocating motion. As a result, as indicated by dots, the workpiece is brought into position f, g and k in an alternating sequence, since the gear segment b rolls on the rack i. Instead of guiding the tool holder through a gear segment, the same effect can also be achieved by giving the rotating ends of the tools a permanent inclination with respect to the work piece.
