Description
Most of the methods for capturing continuous images work in such a way that the Photo tape is either jerked so that it is during the time of exposure stands still, or it is moved steadily, and the image designed by the lens becomes optically given the same speed as the photo book. There is a third possibility in the fact that with a continuously running image tape and at rest, designed by the lens Picture the illumination time is chosen so short that the resulting on the picture tape Image is still sufficiently sharp. The very short exposure times required for this are in the known processes by intermittently burning light sources, mostly arc light.
The last described method of recording with a continuously moving picture tape and the use of exposure times that are so short that the image produced still has sufficient sharpness is only of importance for such a high number of picture changes that jerky movement of the picture tape causes considerable difficulties. With the normal number of frame changes, the disadvantage of the short exposure time, which is only 1 Z 100 of the exposure time, which can be used in apparatus with jerky frame changes, is greater than the advantage that arises from the omission of the jerky movement device of the film.
For demonstration purposes, it is known to produce the required short exposure time with a continuously running picture tape by rotating diaphragms with a sufficiently narrow slot. This method has hitherto not been used for recording purposes, since it was assumed that the resulting exposure times of approximately 1 I 10,000 seconds and a few seconds are not sufficient to produce a usable image. However, as tests have shown, this assumption is unfounded. Rather, it is entirely possible to use the method described below to obtain images that are perfectly usable for many purposes.
In Abb. In Fig. Ι means α the film tape, b is a sprocket wheel which pulls the image tape from the cassette c and receives the force exerted Aufwickelzug d of the winding device of the cassette, e, f is a guide with the image window, while g is another drawing drum that pulls the film through the guide e . A diaphragm h with a slot i rotates in front of the image window f. The mode of operation of the device is such that the film is pulled by the pulling drums b and g at a constant speed through the guide e past the picture window /. Exposure is made through the disk in the closure slot located h i, of a width of 1 Z 80-1 Z 100 of the circumference of the closure disc has h casually when the closure disc makes one revolution per picture. Since the slot in the closure disk can be made no smaller than approximately 1 to 2 mm in order to avoid diffraction phenomena, the circumference of the closure disk is at least 200 mm; more expediently, however, it is chosen to be even larger, 300 to 400 mm. This results in a characteristic of the invention that the peripheral speed of the closure disk must be significantly greater than the speed of the film. As far as exposure times were mentioned in the foregoing, it is naturally always the exposure time which is decisive for the blurring of the image. The above information assumes that the distance between the shutter disk and the photosensitive layer of the film is kept small, namely the ratio of the slit width to the distance just mentioned must be equal to or less than the aperture ratio of the lens used, so that the ratio of the Exposure time, which is calculated from the ratio of the slit width to the circumference of the shutter disc, to the
den Belichtungszeit sich wie ι zu 2 oder weni'ger verhält.the exposure time behaves like ι to 2 or less.
Zur Ermöglichung hoher Bildgeschwindigkeiten ist es erforderlich, daß dieIn order to ensure that the images stand still, it is important that the film guide e is brought very close to the toothed drum g so that fluttering of the film between the film window / and the toothed drum g is reliably prevented. To enable high image speeds, it is necessary that the
In order to avoid the "breathing" of the film still gets the film web e above or below the bends BiIdfensters e ', which give the image a band, a voltage the same permanently against the same side of the display window suppressed. A particular advantage of this arrangement is that the number of image changes can be increased without reducing the exposure time while maintaining the same sharpness and without increasing the speed of the image tape at the expense of the height of the individual image.
Fig. 2 shows the device from the front. / is again the picture window in front of which the shutter disk h with the slit i circles. To achieve twice or four times the number of image changes without increasing the speed of the picture tape, the disk h is exchanged for a disk h ' according to Fig. 3, which two slits! transmits that are offset from each other by exactly i8o °, or against a disc "h according to Fig. 4, carries which four slots i. In conjunction with such a disk, a diaphragm according to the invention before the image window / set k which only half or leaves a quarter of the height of the image field free.
If the number of image changes is increased at the expense of the image height, as shown in Fig. 3, a very elongated image format is obtained, the long side of which is horizontal. If the object to be photographed is also elongated, but its long side is vertical, the then necessary laying of the apparatus on its side can be avoided in that a reversing prism is connected in front of the taking lens in a manner known per se, which the image around the desired Amount rotates. In order to be able to show the photo tapes at reduced image height on a normal demonstration device, they must be copied over as shown in Figs. 5 and 6. Fig. 5 shows a negative, the individual images of which have a height I = 1 J 4 of the normal image height. According to Fig. 6, the copy then shows pictures from the normal height, of which, however, only part I is used. A copying machine as shown in Fig. 7 can be used for copying. In this figure, α is the negative tape, η the positive tape, c the film guide and / the image window in which copying is carried out in the usual way. The essential feature of the copier is the presence of two grippers, one of which, 0, transports the negative tape. This gripper has an adjustable stroke. The stroke can be changed by adjusting the radius of the crank r . The stroke of the gripper ο is set according to the image height / the negative tape. The other gripper, p, moves the positive band m. Its stroke does not need to be adjustable, it corresponds to the normal image height m. The movement of the two grippers is carried out by coupling by means of toothed wheels in such a way that the negative band a is always moved further by the height Z. when the positive band η is moved further by the height m. If the image window / the height I has the image height of the negative tape, then the copying effect according to Fig. 5 and 6 is achieved.
In order to be able to use the recording apparatus according to Figs. 1 to 4 for normal recordings, the photo tape guide e can be exchanged for one e ' according to Fig. 8, for which a gripper 0 of any type is attached to the common base plate q .
