Schubstangenkopf einschließenden Schutzkasten an Brikettpressen.
Sealing device for the die-crankshaft with bearings and the

to prevent the bearings from warming up due to the contaminated oil.
This inconvenience is thereby made most effective by the invention

there is also the advantage that if there is a risk of fire from coal dust, the fire does not start

Die Kurbelwelle a
fr. Um dieses Sammelbeck -en h
vom Maschinenraum abzuschließen, dient in üblicher
i, erzielt.
In the drawing, for example, an embodiment of the seal on a known protective box for the push rod head with crankshaft and its bearings is shown, namely Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the seal with protective box and Fig. 2 shows a section according to AB Fig.i. The crankshaft a is supported in bearings b, c (Fig. 2) of the machine frame d. The machine frame is designed in such a way that between the arms e, f carrying the bearings b, c, in the base plate g connecting the arms, a collecting basin h is provided for the lubricating oil flowing out of the bearings b, c. On the cranked part of the shaft a, which lies between the bearings b, c, engages the push rod i, which moves the ram h back and forth in the mold, not shown. The lubricating oil emerging from the push rod head L also drips into the collecting basin fr. In order to close off this collecting basin h from the engine room, a protective box 'tn is used in the usual way, which encloses the space between the arms e, f and the base plate g of the machine frame to such an extent that within this box m. The: crankshaft a can move freely with the push rod head L. The wall o of the box m, through the recess p of which the push rod i passes, is closed off by a sealing device iz. The sealing device tt consists of flexible sheet metal walls g, r attached to both sides of the push rod i, encompassing the oscillation range of the push rod, fixed to the wall o and pressed against the push rod by means of springs s, l due to their own springiness. On the upper and lower side of the push rod i lie sheet metal walls ta, v, which are fastened to the wall o by hinges tu, x and which lie with their upturned edges y, z against the walls g, r. The walls ta, v are constantly pressed down on the push rod i by the leaf springs i, 2, which are attached to the wall a. When the push rod i moves, they can give way against the action of the springs i, 2. Since, as is well known, the cross-section of the push rods in briquette presses does not have a smooth prismatic shape in order to save weight and for reasons of strength, a sheet metal sleeve 3 of precisely prismatic shape is firmly wrapped around the push rod to form smooth surfaces for the support of the sheet metal walls g, r, ta, t. in such a way that, on the one hand, it adapts exactly to the contours of the push rod i by means of bent flaps. As a result, the open spaces between the push rod i and the walls g, r, tc, i, caused by the shape of the push rod, are closed off. For the Aufbrlligen and detaching the connecting rod head on the crankshaft of the box can be provided in a closable opening at any suitable site.
