Abstract
Description

Es ergibt sich dann ein hinrei chender Stromfluß über das PTC-Element, welches durch den Stromfluß aufgeheizt wird und das Bimetall-Element des Schaltwerks weiter erwärmt. Damit wird ein Takten des Schaltwerks und damit ein Ein- und Ausschalten des zu schützenden elektrischen Gerätes verhindert, wie dies der Fall wäre, wenn, nach Ausschalten des elektrischen Geräts durch Öffnen des Bimetall-Schaltwerks, dieses sich wieder abkühlt, so daß der Bimetall-Schalter wieder in seinen Schließzustand schalten würde, ohne daß der Fehler am zu schützenden Gerät behoben ist.With a temperature monitor with parallel to the switching mechanism switched PTC element is a self holding temperature monitor.
